The fuel thing was smart, given his options at the time. She wouldn't likely know the smell, and with such a sensitive sense of smell, it would probably be way to strong and somewhat painful to smell. like putting hand sanitizer in your hand and taking a big whiff of it. It burns. So, she just walked away not wanting any part of it.
I always thought the fuel was to disrupt the heat sensory capability of the Indominus Rex too. If I remember right, gasoline (and fuel in general) absorbs the surrounding heat of what it comes in contact with.

@@lunathekuduruk1311 Technically speaking, all the dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park franchise are hybrids considering all of them have amphibian DNA in them and not all have their original DNA intact. Even if you don't consider them hybrids, why do you have a problem with them? Not only has the Jurassic Park series already had hybrids in it since the 90s that were WAY more absurd than the Indominus Rex but it's been confirmed that after Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom, there's not gonna be anymore hybrids so you shouldn't have to worry about them anymore.
Plenty of lessons were learnt from Jurassic Park when they made Jurassic World. There were so many more safety features and dinosaur welfare was much improved (look at the differences in how the raptors and T-rex were kept!) If the computer game Jurassic World Evolution game is to be believed they even stopped using west African reed frog genes to fill genome gaps and started using American bullfrog genes instead (so the newer dinosaur clones did not have the ability to change sex and breed unregulated.) The resort had 11 years of functionality before they messed it up with the I-Rex, a made-up and deliberately dangerous species which is not like anything they ever did at Jurassic Park.
All that security and no could do the obvious thing of having either moats around the carnivores with a second fence, similar to zoos, or at the very least a holding area like even the most basic dog park has 😂😂
@@GabrielleHanna-h4u the only carnivore that got out was the I.rex and we all saw how that happened (unless the ptranodons count and that was due to the rampaging I.rex.) Everything was fine until they made that silly thing.
@@Scrinwaipwr These people are meant to have learned their lesson from Jurrasic Park (and they did to some extent with the trackers and freakin mind control) but no one put physical barriers up JUST IN CASE a dinosaur got out. Even an herbivore could accidentally step on a visitor, so why not show that the learned from that with double fences and/or a moat?
What I find scary about the Indominus's death scene is not how it happened, but that it happened. The Kaiju Mosasaur could have just jumped out of the lagoon and snacked on some visitors any time it wanted.
@@Logan_Hall568 I just watched that, and it does offer a good explanation for the lack of incidents. HOWEVER, it is still poor planning on behalf of the park designers to build that enclosure thinking "Oh, the Mosa could jump out, let's hope it isn't interested in people". That's gambling with lives. All it takes is some kid sitting on the fence, or a person climbing onto it for a photo, and, who could have guessed, they fall in, Mosa go munchy, and the park has to pay a fine for inadequate safety measures. In short, they just got lucky nothing happened until the Indominus escaped.
How come no one has noticed that Indominus rex blocked the door that they used to get in, They were running towards the smaller door but the Indominus rex blocked the way.
But why was there not a door for humans on either side 😄 with all the crap that happened in Jurassic Park, you would think they would be extra careful.
@@Alteori I think Owen would have pointed something like that out if he had the opportunity to finish reviewing and critiquing the enclosure. He seemed like he was on point until he and others got distracted by the Indominus' disappearing act.
Blue is the biggest badass of the movies, not just for her tenacity and strength, but her intelligence, understanding and allowing her to accept a human as the alpha, to form a bond. I personally think their bond went further than just her seeing him as the alpha, i think after so much trust she came to have that type of bond one has with a dog, she clearly wanted to protect him like he did her and her pack.
I think Clare outrunning Rexy was a narrative choice to show just how much she had aged, she went from being able to almost outrun a jeep to barely keeping up with a chick in high heels
People: Ignore Jurassic Park’s failure. Also people: Continue to be stupid and create hybrids far smarter and way too dangerous to be kept alive. The people: We didn’t know this would happen. Jurassic Park: ._______. Also, the Indominus Rex found them because she has thermal sensors like a snake does. And there is a deleted scene where they covered themselves in Dinosaur crap so that was basically all she smelt.
5:12 his name is Vincent d'onofrio. He also play's the kingpin on Netflix daredevil and will make an appearance in Hawkeye. 16:08 it's called plot armor main character's tend to have those.
The crow looks worse than the actual dinosaurs because we have living crows to compare it to. It looks like an imitation, especially since it has feathers which cgi will either do poorly or over-do with too much detail. Kind of like how we see cgi mammals in movies and they look REALLY weird for the same two reasons: we know what they really look and move like, and the fur is not convincing.
Kinda like the uncanny valley. We know what it’s supposed to look like, so cgi conflicts with our brains’ capability of accepting it as a real creature.
21:59 "she still believes Owen is still her papa" well, that and Indy didn't yet give the order to specifically kill/attack him yet. just to attack the other humans.... so yeah, i'd say they still see Owen as the alpha of the group, and since he's shielding the others behind him, they're part of his pack.
Actually the Indominus Rex "escape" scene was more realistic than you think. We as viewers know we are not in danger and as so we can think more rationally, on the other hand, the characters in the movie are in danger, and as so, are panic thinking. Also you are not going to instantly go for the tracker If your dog looks like its not in the yard, you are going to go outside and look for them to make sure they are not in the yard.
Okay. First of all, I know I am comparing apples and oranges. But, in the book the trackers were active constantly. It wasn't a powered tracker, like a gps. It was passive. The park were looking for it, in the right location, and as it gets out it automatically runs the ALARM. They shouldn't have gone in there. They should have checked where it is first, so they can sedate it. Yes, people can act stupidly in dangerous situation. But they weren't being about to be eaten, were they? They should have activated the alarms, as a protocol. Automatically. Without human intervention. But because there was none, they should have known the animal is still there. But this is JW, with a stupid movie monster.
Alteori *explaining not to turn your back to the cage* Owen (Aka Chris Pratt): “don’t turn your back to the cage.” Raptor I think delta: *growls and snarls at “new guy”*
3:39, the reason why is that in a deleted scene, Claire and Owen are walking through the jungle looking for them, and Claire explains that she saw her nephews during her parents funerals, 5 years apart from each other.
I went to see this film with my dad, and I was blown away by how much this film was amazing to see from start to finish. Critics said that, "Even though this film doesn't capture the awe or imagination of the original JURASSIC PARK, it does gives us what we always wanted: the ultimate popcorn summer thrill ride."
Interestingly, i understood that ending scene with blue as her asking if her sisters made it and him saying no (because they were laying on the anthropomorphic characteristics hard for these dinosaurs). So she just left because there was nothing to wait for. Blue is used to him leaving and not joining her and the other raptors so i don't think she was asking if he's coming with her.
14:32 "when they activated the tracker, it started making a beeping noise and she didn't like how that felt or sounded" well, it's also just as likely that some of the dinosaurs she's been picking fights with dug her up a bit, and it was attached to the loose skin they carved on her.... i mean, they established the other dinosaurs she was killing for the hell of it. so i assume little to no hunting tact was employed just brute force... so like a person, when a chunk of flesh is cleaved off to an extent. if it's not something that needs to be addressed, like bleeding badly.... given the chunk her tracker is on, i'd say she's not bleeding too bad.... just tear it off and lick till the bleeding stops.... generally how most animals do it anyways
Also, since you like dinosaurs so I recommend you watch two famous dinosaur films and one TV series by BBC naturalist Nigel Marvin. The CGI is amazing for it being a BBC film and series I would recommend watching travel back in time an interesting or saving very species are different time periods. In the episode titled Land of the Giants, you would see me Nigel tracking a herd of the largest sauropod, argentinosaurus, all the while being stopped by a pack of giganotosaurs. In the giant claw, he travels to Mongolia to study the therizinosaurus, well at the same time he encounters the T-Rex is Asian cousin the tarbosaurus, and has a very unique encounter with some other pests along the way. In the series dubbed sea monsters, walking with dinosaurs special, he travels back in time and explores life beneath the oceans from the oldest ocean with life in it, I do apologize for which one it is all the way to the Cretaceous seas. The creatures he meets are fascinating from sea scorpions of the civilian, to note thesaurus of the Triassic, to the actual mosasaurus of the Cretaceous. He even goes further swimming with megalodon, or diving with a prehistoric whale basilosaurus. And his other TV series Prehistoric Park, which ever since my childhood has been one of my favorites, although unfortunately it only lasted six episodes due to funding issues, he starts up a prehistoric reserve and actually does a much better job than Jurassic Park even dead concerning the fact that he only uses more primitive materials such as wooden fences compared to electric ones. He goes back in time and manages the rescue various prehistoric creatures on the verge of Extinction and bring them back to the park when she would soon open to the public at the series continued. Including an orphan pair of tyrannosaurus Rex siblings, a woolly mammoth that was injured by a primitive hunters, arthropleura centipedes and giant dragonflies from the Precambrian, and even from Texas a fully grown deinosuchus crocodile. Whoever thinks that she should do videos on the things that I mentioned about, please respond with a thumbs up, a heart, or a response comment. Also don't forget that the dead sound channel has just released another dinosaur film called an ancient spring
Honestly, the Velociraptor DNA was a let down. After Owen pointed out the purposeful marking, pulling the tracker out, and setting the flying dinos on the copter I was really expecting the twist to be that the Indominus was mixed with HUMAN DNA. I just thought it was going for that angle since the Indom seemed to intelligent compared to the other dinos. IMO would have been a lot more of a twist than the Velo DNA.
She is a very large Dino so while this is possible the chance that the exact spot the tracker is located got scratched and ripped out is very low and would be very bad writing
26:58 "They hug their children and th- they live happily ever after, except that the parents get divorced." I laughed so hard. Perfect deadpan delivery.
When it comes to why they didn't immediately call for the tracker's location was because they're in a communications deadzone where there's no cell service.
Honestly I believe the reason why the movie was written like this is because they didn’t want a bunch of angry parents ganging up on them for making the movie too scary for their children to watch. Plus it would’ve been a rated R movie had they put in more violent deaths.
Yeah I don't know why in the later movies they were so concerned about that. I hate when they do that to movies and the only franchise I found that they didn't do that with is Alien thank goodness. These people forgot what made Jurassic Park so good in the first place. It was still a good movie but I can see as time goes on they get more tame and better for children without realizing that when we were all children we loved the movies as they were and were not traumatized by them. Part of why I love dinosaurs is because they were scary and because of the power they had to kill people. The thing is most modern movies don't even have to have more violence on screen but they can imply it. The way they did the mosasaurus scene was decent. I think my issue with some of the modern movies or sequels is that they lose the charm of the first movies on which they are based.
The original Jurassic Park scared the shit out of me in Theatres at 6 years old. You don't need violence and gore to scar a child. Raptors in the kitchen scene still puts me on edge
This may have already been mentioned, but the reason the I-Rex didn't flip the vehicle Owen was hiding under was because it is the crane that brings in its food. As Owen stated earlier, the only thing the I-Rex has a positive correlation/relationship with is that crane
I swear there is an AI in charge of ad placements now, because the moment you told us that sucker fell into the raptor pen at 5:43, I got an ad playing "Jump! Might as well jump!"
Those brachys looked in surprisingly good shape considering they all got mauled to death (we see one of them get taken down in CC season 1, remember?). I mean, you'd think they would have had their guts ripped open or something. There is some theories going around that that one Ankylosaur that Indi killed was trying to protect Bumpy, though whether or not the smaller one was actually bumpy, i guess we'll never know. Considering how many people supposedly died when the Pteranodons attacked and caused a stampede of humans, there wasn't really any evidence of that in CC following the evacuation.
This was the firsr JP/JW film I saw in cinema. I really like it. But when I think about the film people in the film make a lot of stupid decision but that's of the plot. I remember I watched HISHE about this film and they made mamy good points. Interesting fact. Mercedes puts it's cars in JP films since JP1 or JP2.
One thing I like about this movie was that usually either Jurassic park movies the Velociraptors were always made out yo be the bad guys. So them giving the kinda hero character to Blue made me very happy. I always liked the Velociraptors because they were cunning and incredibly smart. But it was always seen as a bad thing. Now Velociraptors have a positive reputation due to Blue being the way she is. I hope they keep her alive in the series.
I think Claire didn't have any cell service around the indominus enclosure so that's why she had to drive off. Why everyone else went into the enclosure before checking the beacon is beyond me. 😅
I'm actually watching Camp Cretaceous right now and I can see where the movie takes place in the time line with the episodes and I really love the show and this movie 😆! Also the Anky vs the Indom was the highlight of the movie for me, if the indom didn't have arms that fight could've went any way!
Yeah this movie is still great It could be a bit cheesy sometimes but I still love it . It still does horror well especially with Indy so yes I still love this movie and I love the relationship between Owen and the Raptors. They did’int deserve to go out The way they did.
I will say that they weren't using bullets on the indominus in the camouflage scene like Alteori said. they were using tranquilizer and stun weapons because they wanted to "preserve the asset" and in the movie they say that the trackers run off of bio electricity from the animals. the beeping probably was coming from the trackers the acu had and not the tracker itself because if it was embedded the beeping would be pointless
From what I remember, the original story was supposed to have Masrani survive the crash and meet up with Owen and Clair, but they had to write him out of it after the actor had died in the middle of production (he apparently died from an infection).
3:34 Okay, as much as this was a nice review, I feel that was a little harsh, like low hanging fruit, the actor can't help how there body looks. For the most part we don't get to pick how our genetics make us grow up as. But again, nice review.
It was stupid but I loved it. I find the most entertaining past time is to look at movies and point out the stupidity. For some reason it makes them more entertaining unless they are really really stupid like the amazing bulk. Those types of movies just make me mad 😅
That’s gonna be the composers legacy….. well he also did Star Wars, and Superman, and Jaws, and Harry Potter, but yeah this will definitely be a part of it. Still effects me after all these years
I feel like JP 4 was too much like a standard modern action film trying to be nostalgic, it was better than JP 3. JP 5 felt like it was going back to Chrichton's "How far is too far?" Analogy.
I think if Hammond or Masrani followed real zoo guidelines a functional park would be very feasible for instance...moats... Plenty of space for the animal... Bottom line if the lesson wasn't even taught we would not have this franchise
@@lunathekuduruk1311 yes we all know that and moat was in the Indominus paddock in concept art. I am also talking about how zoos have enrichment programs for their animal's comfort like big balls or brushes for them to rub up against. They did. Jurassic world was successful and running for years. They fucked up by creating the indominus Rex and making it highly intelligent and ultra aggressive

I remember being soo excited when this movie just came out in theaters.. i remember LOVING it when it first came out. But now, looking back at it.. nothing made sense.
23:48 Actually since the T-Rex is old she isn't as fast, and unlike a cheetah it takes a while for these large dinosaurs to get a good running speed. She starts off slow, but eventually gets to the 20-something to 30-something mph speed.
@@Alteori neither would I lol. but still, I use the statement I made to cope with the stupidity. I love Jurassic World, but I agree that it was dumb of Claire to just stand and wait.
Before I really started getting into it I always thought that was the actual size of the mosasaurus. However I forgotten that they had basically manipulated the genome enough that are practically made her go 10 times with the actual mosasaurus would be. It is interesting when you think about it that you see the dinosaurs in these movies, you think they're their actual size, only to realize that in reality they were not. Velociraptors like I said on a previous video only about the size of a German shepherd dog, dilophosaurus were big enough to stand over and look down on a person. The dimorphodons were actually about the size of an eagle or a hawk, by appearances the pteranodons of the Jurassic Park, not the Jurassic World franchise were of correct size.
Yeah, my problem with Jurassic World, it kind of takes away the horror aspect of Velociraptors when they can be tamed like lions. I still prefer JP and TLW (and to some extent, but not much, JPIII) where they are actual horror movies rather than mostly action movies.
There was a youtube channel that did a video about why claire was able to out run the t-rex in heels, they said it's because of the bones in the t-rex's legs, so the t-rex running at that speed chasing claire was the most realistic part and that if it had run any faster it's bones would snap
The fanny pack scene, I will attempt to explain what I think was going on. Try reaching your hand out as far as it can go, and try to grab something that does not want to be taken. You try to get a good grip on the thing but it just keeps wiggling. Now add in the fact you now have large thick claws might be a bit hard to know that you hooked something on them. So your less fighting in a tug of war, and more trying to get a bit closer. Does not help that your arms are a bit shorter compared to your body, so you would have to be in an odd position to stick your hands in there.
🤣 but he got it. The boy wasn't wiggling. The indominus was already pulling her claw back. I've been in those situations where my finger nail is sharp and get snagged on something and when I pull it it gets dragged especially if it's something small. Trust me it was the child plot armor 😂
@@Alteori I agree plot armor. But to add to what I said, Indie had odd T rex arms, a bit longer then Rex's of course but still not flexible enough to reach into a hole and properly grab the kid. Thus fitting more with the "she may be less smart, and more of a dumb" as you mentioned.
I’m very late but here’s why they didn’t immediately call to get the beacon checked, it was implied that the indom enclosure was out of signal range (the walkie going all staticky), so they couldn’t call without getting closer to the control center.

Rexy, Blue, and Mosa the best trio in the world, ngl Mosa should also be considered a hero in this, she/he had no idea and no real reason to jump out of the water to kill Indi but she/he did
I just thought of something interesting you know how the mosasaurus jumps out of the water and grabs the indominus well there's also another reptile like creature that likes to swim it's called a deinosuchus which is basically a large crocodile that likes to feast off a dinosaurs so I was just wondering what would happen if that creature meets the indominus

I do like how it seems they went from 0 security to having some decent security.
Life...uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....finds a way
All that security and no could do the obvious thing of having either moats around the carnivores with a second fence, similar to zoos, or at the very least a holding area like even the most basic dog park has 😂😂
@@GabrielleHanna-h4u the only carnivore that got out was the I.rex and we all saw how that happened (unless the ptranodons count and that was due to the rampaging I.rex.) Everything was fine until they made that silly thing.
She did a video showing why it didn't do that
@@Logan_Hall568 I just watched that, and it does offer a good explanation for the lack of incidents.
@@justusb.plorer8773 or someone climbing the fence to dance for a tiktok, your argument is very realistic I never thought people could do that
How come no one has noticed that Indominus rex blocked the door that they used to get in, They were running towards the smaller door but the Indominus rex blocked the way.
4:02, sadly, the actor whom played Simon Masrani, Irffan Khan, passed away a year ago from colon cancer at age 53.
I think Clare outrunning Rexy was a narrative choice to show just how much she had aged, she went from being able to almost outrun a jeep to barely keeping up with a chick in high heels

Also people: Continue to be stupid and create hybrids far smarter and way too dangerous to be kept alive.

Exactly!
JW is a good movie. There was more good than bad, therefore, it's a good movie. I saw it 3x in theaters and I enjoyed it, all 3x.
Amen.
I loved it. My 3rd favorite in the franchise
21:59 "she still believes Owen is still her papa"
well, that and Indy didn't yet give the order to specifically kill/attack him yet. just to attack the other humans.... so yeah, i'd say they still see Owen as the alpha of the group, and since he's shielding the others behind him, they're part of his pack.
That doesn't excuse the fact the main door isn't airlocked.
Alteori *explaining not to turn your back to the cage*
Owen (Aka Chris Pratt): “don’t turn your back to the cage.”
Raptor I think delta: *growls and snarls at “new guy”*
The flare was a signal for feeding time. The T-rex was just following her to food.
Yes but it's also called back to the first movie. Still, a little bit too close 😄
14:32 "when they activated the tracker, it started making a beeping noise and she didn't like how that felt or sounded"
well, it's also just as likely that some of the dinosaurs she's been picking fights with dug her up a bit, and it was attached to the loose skin they carved on her.... i mean, they established the other dinosaurs she was killing for the hell of it. so i assume little to no hunting tact was employed just brute force... so like a person, when a chunk of flesh is cleaved off to an extent. if it's not something that needs to be addressed, like bleeding badly.... given the chunk her tracker is on, i'd say she's not bleeding too bad.... just tear it off and lick till the bleeding stops.... generally how most animals do it anyways
I fucking loved Prehistoric Park it was my childhood
That roar in the end got me, I should have expected that, I can’t stop laughing..🤣
That, and the opposable thumb. Then again, if it did have human DNA, a lot of my more ... "Nerdy" fellow paleonerds would have shredded it even worse.
@@justusb.plorer8773 That is definitely something I could see happening.
FINALLY!
I was expecting that same twist too. It seemed too perfectly set up and that would've been more of a crossing of the line than raptor.
Yea I was hoping for human as well cause raptor and Rex was obvious as fuck
Another possibility concerning the tracker is it was ripped out in a fight when she was killing other dinosaurs
That is possible but I think only at the time she was killing sauropods
She is a very large Dino so while this is possible the chance that the exact spot the tracker is located got scratched and ripped out is very low and would be very bad writing
Sauropods could tail or neck whip with literal tons of force, its not inconceivable a brachiosaur got a solid hit in.
in Fallen kingdom they said that the body heat is the battery for beacons (idk if someone already said that in comments)
Alteori did you know jumping spiders are more intelligent than dogs they like to study humans from afar for hours and you don't even see them
26:58 "They hug their children and th- they live happily ever after, except that the parents get divorced." I laughed so hard.
The older brother was attempting to "bust out with the power of love", but he didn't have the power, and his love was more like stalking.

Compys cleaned up the mess.
Well for firsts they didn’t add damage to them in camp Cretaceous due to it being for kids, but I don’t know why they censored it a lot it the movie

What's most impressive is that long, smooth patch Owen road his bike on in a friggen jungle.
Not a single bump or log or anything.
Dinosaurs as weapons would be stupid. Mainly their clear allergic reaction to bullets
From what I remember, the original story was supposed to have Masrani survive the crash and meet up with Owen and Clair, but they had to write him out of it after the actor had died in the middle of production (he apparently died from an infection).

Jp had a moat for rexy tho

@@lunathekuduruk1311 yes we all know that and moat was in the Indominus paddock in concept art.
I still wouldn't take that chance 😅
I still prefer JP and TLW (and to some extent, but not much, JPIII) where they are actual horror movies rather than mostly action movies.

what's wrong with staring at girls? am sure you're one of those people who think kidnaping is weird too
16:42, you forgot to point out that it doesn't make sense for all the dinosaurs to be dead in such close proximity to one another.
There was a youtube channel that did a video about why claire was able to out run the t-rex in heels, they said it's because of the bones in the t-rex's legs, so the t-rex running at that speed chasing claire was the most realistic part and that if it had run any faster it's bones would snap
Alteori did you make a review video on dead sound's dinosaur animation" A more ancient spring " ?
Thus fitting more with the "she may be less smart, and more of a dumb" as you mentioned.
you posted this on my birthday. I also hated how blue was sidlined so much in Jurassic World Dominion.
