- Hello to all of you scream fans out there and welcome to another Scream 7 news update. So soon after the last one I know, but here we are. The reason for this video is because I’d no sooner posted the last one yesterday and then a new bunch of rumours dropped so we’re gonna call this part 2 of my last video seen as they’re both so close together.

Thank you BTM! I will say I never went to the assumption about the neighbor being involved because Milton's house was the finale for 3. Kirby's was the false finale for 4. They weren't the killers, but then we had Amber in Scream 5 to break the cycle.

I feel like Scream 7 should reveal one Final SECRET involving Maureen Prescott…… that is really going to change the game forever! And turn the entire franchise on it’s head. Which is part of the plot in bringing Sidney back. 👀🤫🤐

i also think the house ending is tired. scream 1, 3, 4 (the original ending anyways) and 5 all end in a house. 2 and 6 both end in a theater. lets get creative. where's the finale at an amusement park or in the wilderness while camping? she's got kids now- lets utilize that. what about a finale at a chuck e cheeses? part of what makes part 6 so amazing (aside from the ending) are the attacks in the bodega and the subway. not every attack needs to be in a house. plenty of people get murdered outside or in public all the time (something scream 2 did ridiculously well as only a single death occurred in a house. lets stop relying on nostalgia to fuel this series and really have fun with it.
The third act in 4 finished at the house but the actual finish was at the hospital, right?

I hope they deemphasize the Stab franchise. I love it and it is part of what makes Scream stand apart but feel it's just time to have it in the background. Also hope they discuss the events of 2&3 more, 1 has been done to death and was great to get 4 throw back with Kirby but 2 especially was an amazing movie and doesn't get the kudos it deserves
Gale and Sidney are both "final girls." Sidney is THE final girl, but Scream wouldn't be what it is without Gale. I'll die on that hill...

What about Kirby Reed? She has to be in scream 7 it would be so nice if Sidney & Kirby would team up against GhostFace and we need a chase/attack scene with Kirby & GhostFace (costume)
She is not important to be honest.. I liked her but her character is just unnecessary in this point, and Hayden’s acting these days are just not the same as before
Kirby needs to take the lead in a Ghostface spin off trilogy. I've said it before but it'd be awesome to see Ghostface win for once, so have that happen in the first movie, Ghostface kills everyone and this gets the attention of special agent reed. This would be at the end of the first movie, Kirby shows up at the last scene. Next two movies would be about her and others tracking and stopping Ghostface as well as for the first time, we see the movie from the killers perspective as they stalk and kill targets as well as evade the FBI. I'd ultimately end the trilogy with one killer escaping.

@@Toni06s Exactly! This spinoff would have nothing to do with any of the current known characters beyond Kirby. She'd be the only connection. Also this spinoff would be totally divorced from the typical Scream movie formula. I love the franchise but it's getting a little stale and Ghostface needs to evolve into a real serious threat. No more dying every movie, no more lame motives. Time to get real dark and vicious with the character.
despite the creators stating that Sydney is married to kincaid, the movie only ever states her husband's name as mark- this could be any person that she met named mark and if Patrick Dempsey cannot make it to the film due to scheduling issues, they could easily just cast a new character, call him Mark and be on their way. Besides, the two characters had zero chemistry in scream 3 and while i get that he took a stab for her, i don't necessarily think that means she'd have married him. Maybe he was at her house at the end just to make sure she was okay. also if she was roughly 17 in the first movie, she'd be 19 in the second as it took place two years later and 22 in part 3 as it takes place 3 years after 2 (and im speaking canonically to the story, not the years the movies came out). to be a detective at that level easily puts you in your 30's if not older. no one immediately becomes a detective upon joining the force- it takes years of training and working your way up to that position after being a beat cop and then a deputy and so forth. Seeing her past boyfriends, she tends to pick suitors closer to her own age range. kincaid is at least a decade older than her if not more in part 3. would she really have married a guy like that?

Or maybe a slasher isn't the place to go for accurate representations of hierarchy in the police force. Especially in a universe that's already played it fast and loose with medical care and realistic injuries/ones that actually cause death.

@@zydration3538this is why you specify what you’re trying to say the first time- but naw the scream series is the closest to realism that we’ll probably ever get in a slasher franchise and they haven’t quite jumped the shark yet- yeah we all agree Chad should have died twice thus far but Mindy in 5 and 6 only got stabbed once or twice- thats survivable. That’s realistic and even in the case with Chad- people have survived worse in real life. Also I literally wrote a single line about his age in terms of being a detective and a slew of other lines about other things- how are you going to vaguely reply to a single line and then act as though I should understand the relevance when you’re not actually bothering to explain yourself well and only focusing on a single aspect of all that I said. Here’s an idea- how about you don’t worry or care about what I think? I sure don’t worry or care about what you think.
I would just love of scream 7 happened the same time as scream 6 just diff location I think that wouldve been so sick
this would actually be a really kewl way to tie it together- sidney could be watching news reports of the attacks in new york and in hiding with her kids and family, a new killer comes after her. throw in a few cops to act as security and maybe one of her kids is old enough to have a boyfriend she told the whereabouts to and he pops in with a few friends to fill out the cast. this way it doesn't have to ignore the events of part 6.
Omg im glad im not the only one with this opinion. I have been saying this in almost every video that BTM releases. I really hope they do that because it'll solve many plot holes. For instance, if they do make both movies take place at the same time, it will excuse the absence of the core four, kirby and gale because they'll be in new york. Gale could have a minor role as little as having her phone call with sidney and maybe even appearing on the news.

This all sounds intriguing. Can I suggest for a change in your next video why not talk about all 6 movies and what are your favourites, scenes, characters, settings, deaths etc. It would be nice for a change to hear you talk about the movies in the franchise and to see people's feedback too.
PRAYING that they play 5 and 6 off as stab movies where the legacy characters just played themselves. This also would allow them to get the hell away from the trash storyline of ghost daddy and on and off psychotic daughter…

Is anyone else as excited about the fact that Kevin Williamson is directing. I know he’s not a seasoned director but he wrote the original script in a frantic attempt to sell a movie. That to me is great since wes isn’t around nobody knows this franchise and what it means to fans more than Kevin. I don’t particularly like 5 or 6 however I was pumped for 5 not just because of the long wait but they filmed it in my hometown of Wilmington NC and the beginning with Sam and Richie at the bowling alley had me pumped because I lived a mile from it and was anticipating a kill scene inside the bowling alley where I grew up going to birthday parties at and was disappointed they didn’t do a kill inside that bowling alley it was a good place to set up an interesting scene
No. Nobody else has experienced such a groundbreaking reaction to finding out it will be directed by someone involved since 1.

Scream will always be a 90s franchise, however many new characters show up. If Stu Macher somehow shows up again, we'll have one hell of a new trilogy to enjoy.

How about an abandoned island as the finale location. Something new. Also, how about a double phone call for the opening sequence. Two people called at the same time, and on a shared call with Ghostface.

@@Sgureghian True, but I don't mean an island that is for vacation, I mean a tiny island that barely has anything on it, other than a place for the cult members to practice at. Basically a large plot of land that has to be travelled to by boat or swimming. Maybe an abandoned vineyard, with caves for the wine barrels... allowing for a new style of chase sequence.

I'd like to see a male and female in different locations, getting a shared call from GF, hearing and speaking to one another, and we find out that the people are key to the plot in some way, possibly A.I. manufacturers, or lovers who are having an affair ala Maureen. Ghostface needs to get something from them, hence why he/she is using them, to travel to a certain location to acquire something. We notice more than one Ghostface during this opening, and it doesn't take place in the main film location. A thunderstorm is happening during this.
Last but not least... no Jackson as the voice anymore. A new voice this time, different, perhaps elderly sounding. Huge actors for the opening, ala Taylor Swift, Dwayne Johnson, Brad Pitt etc. It would be fun to see Heather Graham in a sequence too, targeted for playing Casey in Stab.

This movie seems to have, after all, more and more similarities to SCREAM 3. But maybe not the one, we know, but one, that was planned by Williamson himself. Like Gale role, for example. Earlier it was Gale/Dewey, but seems, sadly, if they want to keep 5&6 canon, which I think, people will not insist on so much, having Dewey being able to come back for franchise... 🤔
However. I just hope, that neighbour will NOT be Christina Carpenter. If they want to just ignore(not necessarly erase, but ignore) 5&6 remakes, they should have not force Carpenters into this story even one bit. Lets see Sid being tormented, will it be Ghostface cult, Stu's family(why not, he deserved legacy, too), or even Gale turning Ghostface herself. Or Kirby. Lets just have FUN with SCREAM7 and leave Barrera drama behind. And let haters cry, when SCREAM7 will turn success! 🩸🔪❤️
Could be that the neighbor is a fake-out, or possibly a frame-up. It would seem a good opportunity for the killer(s) to take advantage of a known Sidney hater in an attempt to get away with it. Also, I'm hoping Kincaid has scenes throughout, if brief. Maybe they'll be treating his as they did Sidney in the first half of Scream 3, when Neve had limited availability to be on-set.

First of I have too wish Scott Foley aka Roman A Happy birthday but here’s my thoughts I’m honestly not feeling the final Setting like not too sound like a ungrateful fan but I feel like they could’ve have chosen a better setting also yeah I expected Gale to have a larger role because it’s Gale and with Mark not being in the movie as much idk about you guys but I think it would be a missed opportunity if he was not the opening kill

I’d at least like them to address Scream 5+6 the way they subtly mentioned Sidney in 6. There’s no way they can’t address all the killings that have happened and the killers that took on the mantle of Ghostface. Doesn’t make sense for the story.

Wasn’t one of the original scripts for scream 3 involved Sidney’s dad being the killer going after gale because had she not written the book it wouldn’t have gone as far as it did? I’d love them to bring that back

From what I understand Patrick isn’t coming back. But, we don’t even really know if Mark Kincaid is Sidney’s husband…. Yeah, I know in Scream 5 Dewey asks her “How’s Mark?” but that doesn’t automatically mean it’s Mark Kincaid.
Why wouldn’t he? He’s in Thanksgiving which is made by Spyglass and Paramount… they would have simply said sign up for thanksgiving 2 and a scream cameo at same time

As another commenter stated, this movie should take place at the same time as scream vi, i dont get why nobody else is discussing this idea. It will fill a the plot hole of why the core four isnt present in scream 7 because they'll obviously be in new york dealing with their own problems along with kirby and gale. Gale can make a small appearance with just a simple phone call to sidney or maybe appearing on the news. This will give more room for mark and sid's family to be more involved in the movie. Idk those are just my thoughts and i hope people can agree with it

So upset that Sam and Tara won’t be returning. The 5th and 6th movies were the best in the franchise (so far) in my honest opinion. It’s an unpopular opinion to have both they were hands down the best characters to me, and i’m so damn salty.

@@zedorian6547 yeah that’s what I was thinking. Scream 2-6 could be the considered the “Stab” movies. Sidney, Dewey, Gail and Randy (the original core 4) could return. And potentially Stu, which I’m sure all the Stu fans would love. It’d also add a bit of realism because surviving 9 or so serial killers is great for a movie franchise but not very likely.
