    I appreciate you showing how to do this stuff- I just spent 20 hours wrapping my son's BMW car with Avery color changing vinyl. It came out good with your help and I learned that I never want to do wrapping again- it takes a long time, is easy to make an expensive mistake, and requires too much patience. Best of luck to all of you who do this for fun and profit.

    I have watched a lot of your videos, you do good work, you do make it look very easy, I did my first hood wrap job yesterday, I used Vvivid carbon fiber wrap, I should have picked a easier specimen, I did the hood on a Mini Cooper, not a flat surface anywhere, it was a struggle, but I think it came out ok, we’ll see how it holds up. Thanks for the videos.

    Would this same rule and technique apply to doing headlights? Making some eyebrows for my 2017 Impreza, and the ones I did were... Less than tasteful. Bad tear lines from the knifeless tape, bubbles and wrinkles everywhere, and just overall a failure in my mind. I did notice that the wrap itself was rather thick, so will heating the wrap before applying help with getting over and in contours, both concave and convex, and not give me bubbles and wrinkles (aka, eye candy grief)?

    Hey you do great work. I have a fox body mustang that I dropped off to get painted and the shop owner was put in jail for insurance fraud right before my car went in for paint so i had to have my car flatbedded home in pieces. The car is half in primer now and body shops don’t really want to touch it here in New York for less than $5k. I already paid the guy $2600. I would love to try and wrap it myself since it’s Home in pieces. Question is do you think the vinyl would stick to primer? Also is there a decent quality wrap that is a little cheaper than 3m since it’s never going to be a show Car now. He basically destroyed my car. Thanks any help would be greatly appreciated.

    • @theissen612
      @theissen612 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      you wont really save $ by choosing another vinyl. youll just add headaches and frustration. 100$ difference MAX when looking at 1 car pricing "cheap" vinyl vs 3M. yes it sticks to primer.

      About the primer thing, yes. It sticks same as on a painted car, just make sure you clean it enough, and wrap in an area about living room temp. Too cold and it rips easily ;) heat is not much of an issue ;)
