    Excellent detailed explanation for the reasons of your actions. I really appreciate the lack of tension - i want to do my mirrors w carbon fiber and aside from peel back this is the first explanation / methodology that wont leave CF with wonky curved lines.

    This is why he is the pro because he isn't over stretching anything or over heating that causes the wrap to shrink back. This technique is more better than trying to do it in one piece. One piece on the side mirror that has alot of curves is a can do but there is no guarantee it will stay on for long. Once it bakes in the sun it will start shrinking. Awesome tutorial. some may not agree about the video or what i said but its true though. Its also less stressful and it will stay on longer.

      +Moresco24 I've only worked on my personal cars.I would love to open a shop and do this for a living,but the area I'm from hasn't caught on yet.

      +dvnhrdy yea I am interested as well, but I don't have a garage to work in right now so I can't really start learning on my own car yet. But seeing this guys videos makes me want to learn his techniques and not take my car to other shops where they'll use way too much heat

    I'm not an installer, but I really like how he stresses not over-stretching the material. So many wrap installers on TH-cam & IG are egotistical & want to show off how "good" they are & showcase installs where they just use a ton of heat & stretch the hell out of the material just to wrap a particular part in one piece. That's cool that they can do it, but they do actual installs like that, & it just doesn't last. I'm big on quality & longevity. If that means using multiple pieces and/or cold stretching, so be it.

    great technique on finishing with the seal tape in which almost match with the car mirrors, but i prefer remove the cover from the car and wrap it inner lay. it that all the edges will flawlessly and will last much longer.

    Wow u make it look so easy!!! Gotta say far better tutorial than others I have watched before, probably explaining why I've so far failed to wrap a car mirror!!! lol Needless to say some new tips taken on board & will re-attempt using your advise....Previously I'd applied during a hot day & would say I had overstretched & not used enough relief cuts therefore edge seemed to shrink back & liftAgain great tutorial, I wonder if the same techniques apply to headlight tint wrapping as that's next on the list lol. xXx

    nice, but what about the "air pressure" during some faster rides, after a while? If the direction of overlap is against that air move - won't the green film start to go off?

  • @idkchocolate

    Would it be better if you laid the green piece first then the pruple?

    Why couldn't you put mold n hold on the other side to help cover and hold the edges?

    • @ThaKidd1006
      @ThaKidd1006 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It over stretched the purple turns white when you over stretch and it looks terrible. It would help hold it but it still looks like a shit job.

    When you're a pro and know what to do while I waste 10 hours just trying to do one mirror that will likely peel up since it had small finger wrinkles on edges. Funny how the video plays with a below ad pic of ckwrap doing an extreme pull over stretch in an other video
