      It really doesn’t. The more I listen the more I realize that essentially everything that happened to Cersei happened because of her own scheming. The War of Five Kings happened because of her getting Ned killed. Joffrey’s brief but cruel reign happened because of her. Immediately pinning the blame of Joffrey’s death leading to Tywinn’s death happened because of her. The High Sparrow rose to power because of her. Tommen took his own life because of her. Had Tyrion not been unfairly tried, Obeyrn wouldn’t have died fighting The Mountain which led to Mycella’s death in retaliation so while that may be a stretch she also played a role in that too. She didn’t send anyone to fight at Winterfell. She killed one of Dany’s dragons (forgot the name) and then executed Missandei in front of her leading to not only her death, but Jaime’s, and the destruction of King’s Landing. So for her to sit there and even remotely try to blame Tyrion for ANYTHING is enraging.

    Cersei is to blame for Tommen's death, but not Myrcella.
    Oberyn died in a fair trial by combat that he chose to participate in. It's fucked up but that's how the law works in Westeros. Neither Myrcella nor Cersei were responsable for it. The Sand snakes killing Myrcella was just cold injustified murder.

      Myrcella's death is actually Tyrion's fault. The martells had been enemies with the Lannisters for a long time, and sending a Lannister child to them like Tyrion did was, even in the best of cases, giving them a hostage unnecesarily
      On top of that, he killed Tywin, the only Lannister that the Martells feared, so they had nothing to fear by killing Myrcella

      @pinkace 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sathira_anuk5179 you’re confusing one-dimensional with ‘better written’. In the show Tyrion has a sense of humor, multiple interests, and actual human emotions. That’s what happens when multiple writers create a well-rounded character. In the books, he’s lecherous and hateful, that’s it.

    • @hawnt2r
      @hawnt2r 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@pinkace He is just sad good guy in the show. The book Tyrion is not just hateful, he has reasons and emotion to feel that way. Book Tyrion craves for love and respect he never had. And when whole world betrays him, when his family turns against him, when he sees how the city he saved despises him, he feels that he will never get any love or praise because he is a monster in the eyes of the people.
      And that is a realistic human reaction. Book Tyrion is in doubts. He has hatred and hope for happiness still fighting inside him. And of course he hates and wishes death to his family, because that makes sense. His family betrayed him. His father was putting him down his whole life and was intended to execute him, same goes for his sister. And when he learns truth about Tysha, he realises that he cannot trust Jamie either. The city he saved, hoping that maybe that would make them love him, was demanding him to be executed.
      And after all of that, are we going to blame him for wanting his revenge, for wanting to bring fire and blood onto Westeros? Onto Cersei, Jamie?
      And show Tyrion is just a good guy. Even after all betrayals he still wants to save Cersei. But why in the hell he would want to save her? Tyrion in show has no moral conflict at all. The betrayal from his whole family was just a nothing to him. Zero changes. Just a good guy. THAT is a one dimensional character.
      Not mentioning how stupid he became to later seasons where he just stands around looking sad

      @@pinkace what does it prove? I know lots of people who believe in creationism over evolution. Just a lot of people believing in something doesn't automatically prove your point. And you even admit yourself that it is YOUR experience that people YOU met tend to disagree with me. And I met plenty of people and most of the people who actually red the books agree with me. Show makes Tyrion more likable, that is a point of whitewashing him, same way they turned Jon into Ned Stark 2.0
      But making him likeable doesn't equal to making him actual better character. Because the whole idea behind Tyrion's character, or his arc is him trying to get love, but constantly getting rejected, being seen as a monster, and him actually turning into one, because everything around pushes him towards it.
      And funny that, I wrote whole comment consisting of analysis (maybe not right one, but still). And you just wrote that your friends don't agree with me, so that makes me wrong, but somehow it is me who is being emotional and can't be analytical.

    I do not understand this scene. Cersei has tried to actually kill Tyrion on multiple occasions. She literally ordered, i think it was a kingsguard, to kill him during the battle of the blackwater so she could blame his death on the war. For her to hesitate at such an opportunity, especially after all the things Tyrion did to her after she already tried to have him killed, it just doesn't make sense. Or at least for her to have not killed him due to him being family doesn't make sense, not killing him because she knew her twin would be upset would make more sense.

      She's lost so many of her family members recently and is increasingly alone. She has learned how badly it hurts to lose family.
      She's more concerned about how she will feel than actually concerned about Tyrion.
      In my view. It's really open to interpretation.

      Because he's not to blame for what she's blaming him for. Mycella is Tywin's fault, Tommens death is her fault.

    But as we’ve all seen and know; this was a story about the repercussions of assumption…. There’s a lesson for all to be learned from this story line. How people tend to manufacture the very demons they wish to avoid… pay attention people… this lesson will take you deeper than an class of philosophy at your local community college will ever take you… or you could just go to a family reunion and sit quietly to watch and listen if you want full proof…may the viewers judge

      it was cut by those holding her prisoner, but after that I think it just fit with what she became...she took on a masculine role after the death of her father and became very power-hungry. She even changed the way she dressed.
