I've been spraying the spray beef tallow on frozen fries before I air fry them and my family absolutely loves it. I remember McDonalds used to cook their fries in tallow before they made them vegetarian. Anyway the rib-roll looks great!

Always love Chud's for inspiration! Similar in a way, I picked up beef rib fingers and was rather surprised when I opened the bag up to see stacks of thin strips so I decided to roll them up like spiral lollipops after removing the membrane with skewers and smoke them. Fantastic with all that surface area for bark and already trimmed up too.

It would be interesting to see how this rib roll would work with “meat glue” after being vacuum sealed to help tighten everything up and refrigerated overnight. Great idea for a change of pace on basic beef ribs! Will have to give that a try. We're lucky in that our local store commonly has USDA Prime boneless beef short ribs. I generally trim them pretty ruthlessly, since there's plenty of marbling/no lack of fat. This could be a good base for all sorts of variants. Some chimichurri inside before rolling, for a beef version of porchetta? I'm hungry!!!

  • @lesalbjerg5648

Great video as usual. I love BBQing Beef Ribs. Your video has confirmed a couple of things for me. 1. Beef ribs are a luxury at the price we now have to pay. 2. They look big, but there just isn't as much meat as one would think. I did an Austin -Lockhart BBQ a number of years ago, and fell in love with Texas BBQ. It is just tough to beat a good brisket! I'm going to have to try a log next!

I really wish those spray bottles didn’t jam up as often as I’ve seen. When it works, it’s unbeatable- but so far I’ve been really let down by their reliability. Once is a fluke, 3/7 cans suddenly losing their ability to spray with their contents still full inside is a pattern :(
