  • In this video we continue with the Saito FG21, APC 15x8 prop set up and this time throw in a few other flight maneuvers. Basically just having fun on a somewhat overcast Sunday fly day here on the Pacific Island of Guam. Today we had rain and no wind! With no wind the Ultra Sport 1000 comes in pretty hot. I should have added flaps during the build of this aircraft to assist in slowing down some during landings. Other than that this US1000 with Saito FG21 and APC15x8 prop is such a blast to fly making this a great everyday flyer. So sit back relax and enjoy the flight video, also please consider SUBSCRIBING to the channel, click that LIKE button and COMMENT which all helps the channel.

    Nice Maiden,.Your planes deserve a much better place to fly them.

      Yes very true but unfortunately I am on a small Island. This has been the AMA flying field since 1975 and has remained the dedicated flying area since.

    That's some cool parts for the saito! Where can I get those from? I've had a lot of great planes aircraft and they always have been good! Great sounding engine and awesome flying!

    2mm up aileron will help bleed off glide and may be easier than flaps

    • @BayonasRCWorld
      @BayonasRCWorld  ปีที่แล้ว

      I will give that a try! Much appreciated

      @@BayonasRCWorld I actually do just the opposite and put down ailerons so I guess it doesn't matter as long as you get some drag out of it!

    • @BayonasRCWorld
      @BayonasRCWorld  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@stevebarr9604 True! Either spoilers type action or flaperon action both will produce drag to slow down the model for sure. I will eventually program both and give it a test flight which will also determine if I would need to add elevator mixing.

  • @stevebarr9604
    @stevebarr9604 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Or add some flaperons!

    • @BayonasRCWorld
      @BayonasRCWorld  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes that is also something to consider for sure. I keep forgetting that I do have individual aileron servos in each wing half. This makes programming things like flaperons easy. Why did I not think of that! Thanks for bringing that up for sure.

      @@BayonasRCWorld I fly with a very short takeoff and landing strip but lots of room in the air so I have to use all my options on larger aircraft and when I don't have flaps I use that!
