My husband and I would take two cruises a year, and if the waves were high, I too, didn’t just vomit, but I was in bed very very ill for a day or two. Until, one day a doctor on the cruise Told me that an old Fishermans trick to stop seasickness is to put an ear plug in just one ear and it did not make any difference if it was the left or the right ear. The next day he saw me in the restaurant and he came up and he said well I see you’re up and around and I showed him the ear plug and thank him because it totally works. Happy cruising.😊

Alaska cruises are the best!! So sorry you got sick, it was never wavy the times we went. NCL has a great Indian food section of their buffet with some awesome vegan options. Royal Carribean had two very creative and delicious vegan entree options in their dining room every night, not only pasta.
Hey girl! You do NOT have to suffer on your next cruise. Just ask your doctor for a scopalamine patch to wear during the cruise and no more puking! They are a life saver!

I was so happy to see your post & surprised that you went on a cruise! We also have done the Alaska cruise & thoroughly enjoyed visiting the towns in Alaska & Canada. You showed a view of the glaciers which I remember to be a little more. The whole climate change has quickly changed these beautiful places. Thank you for sharing these videos & so happy that you & your family had a wonderful time in spite of your sea sickness. Looking forward to more of your journey!

Hey Kiki, I know you said one of the main courses was too rich. When you came back, did you hop on your regular high carb low fat diet with mainly fresh foods right away or did you make some transition cause you were hooked on desserts? Just curious. I haven't craved desserts in one year, they're always too rich for me but if I started again... who knows.

this is the only way to make it full screen for youtube otherwise it is blacked out on the sides and most of the comments ive gotten are to fill out the screen the way it is:)

Glad you had a wonderful trip. It appears that you went on Princess, great ship last year went to London, Ireland and Scotland. Just recently went to Iceland on NCL. On Princess they had vegan menus? I found that there were a few things on the menus but not much. Anyway sometimes you have to ask for specifics. More trips for you guys to go on. Iceland, Norway, Belgium, Amsterdam and London were great. Happy future travels.

Alaska and likely a cruise are on my wish list. I need a big stable ship because I gwt motion sick sometimes. I do have an oil I put behind my ears and at my temples to help. Kiki, will you please share the name of the tour/company/ship?

You should do the Holistic Holiday at sea cruise. Half the buffet is vegan and they offer SOS free options in the dining rooms and buffet. And Dr Barnard is coming this year :-)

You must’ve been on a royal Caribbean ship they do have a great vegan menu. I was on one in May and never had to find something I was able to eat.
it looked absolutely amazing *until* you got to the puking part lol. that would be me. i've only gone on one cruise and pretty much hated every minute. the sea sickness patch kept me nauseous the whole time. i didn't feel right until i got back and took it off!

She doesn’t eat regular fattening desserts and sells cookbooks and courses to help people break free from processed foods. That’s what op was getting at. Kiki ‘cleans up’ regular dinners and takeaways and desserts and transforms them into high carb low fat, lower calorie alternatives for people who want to eat more healthy or lose weight. She has said she eats junk here and there but a dessert every night is not usual, especially as she has been open about being on a thyroid healing journey. The original question was very, very warranted.
@@patty5266multiple nights in a row isn’t every once in a while. She can eat what she wants but this is not her usual behaviour. Anyone who has been following her channel will find this surprising but am sure no one cares what she eats. It’s just not her usual approach.

If there was a vegan menu it was probably Royal Caribbean and her suite was quite costly with the separate bedroom. Go Kiki, clearly she’s doing well. She works hard enough and she’s also enjoying the benefits of homeschooling.

Not all cruises are vegan friendly. I went on a 9 day cruise through panama and lunch was salad and fries most days and I had to inform the staff the day before each dinner that I’m vegan and they didn’t even try to make me a vegan dish, I just got more salads lol and no desserts unless fresh fruit
Royal Caribbean offers vegan dishes daily, but they’re not necessarily good.
With the buffet food, how did you know if the hummus and soups etc were oil free?
Maybe she asked or just did her best when choosing food to eat. There’s no reason to be militant on vacation.

If it's a closed loop cruise - IE starts and ends in the USA you don't need a passport but you will need a birth certificate. I have taken many cruises.

It looked beautiful but cruises are very bad for the environment. "The big diesel engines on cruise ships emit tons of toxic smog that people on board and in port cities end up breathing. And while the smog is the most obvious in port, cruise ships also emit tons of greenhouse gases. Cruising is actually worse for the climate than flying." 😪

It is disturbing and disappointing that a vegan influencer is promoting a cruise - the worst form of travelling for the environment and climate. Cruise ships are powered by one of the dirtiest fuels possible, the CO2 footprint is gigantic, the toxic fumes harm those on board as well as the nearby shores, they produce huge amount of waste and sewage that are released into the water. It is horrifying how much this video inspires people to also go on a cruise. As much as you care about your and your family's health sadly you seem to not care too much about the planet and your kids' future...
