I was in Cancun , Mexico and had the same break fast, I also lost wight and will continue my life the way you have become. Healthy and wonderful........So am I going to lose all my weight within a year..........Yeah!

The “sister resort”, which’s entrance is through Sandos, is Palmaia the House of Aia. A fully plant-based luxury property. Palmaia is Paradise! Same great beach (actually more private) but with vegan food being the main focus. It doesn’t come cheap but it’s truly an amazing experience.
Really??! I will have to keep this in mind. I want to try this! I have been thinking about a trip.

Thanks for sharing your warm vacation with another Colorado resident here. My husband and I are going to 3 countries in Europe in late August and it is a once in a lifetime trip. Fortunately, it is through Road Scholar and there are always supposed to be vegetarian options at planned meals. I'm going to eat the best that I can WFPB and experience the region with enthusiasm.

Great video and very informative! Also a great example of the simplicity of this lifestyle even if there are no actual vegan options on the menu. It pretty much forces you to make healthy WFPB 'FEEL GOOD' choices that you will not regret!

Holy moly that beach! I love the simple tips--simple but I still forget to think of stuff like this!--to build meals from sides and to look on airbnb for a resort if that's the way I want to travel. I'd LOVE to hear more about your Mayan ancestry and family! If there's more that you'd be willing to share. Such an amazing place, you've definitely inspired me to get down to looking up travel there.

I’ve stayed there in 2012. It looks like they improved the food since my stay. We got sick and so did a lot of people at the resort. It definitely had a beautiful beach.

Ah the color of the sea!!! I visited the riviera Maya in 1985, the road between Cancun and Tulum was empty and only a few funky resorts existed !! Thank you for the trip on memory lane..

Wow, your kids are growing up so much! I just LOVE your son's haircut! Love that it's still long, he is SO handsome! Looks like such a beautiful resort you are at. I would enjoy the buffets, so much... all that fresh fruit and fresh veggies. Something we just never get here in Northern Minnesota!
We went to Belize for our honeymoon in December and I ate a lot of fruit for dessert, a lot of fruit and tacos for breakfast and lunch and they would make vegan risottos, vegan/gf pastas for dinner and I just got creative and would ask for things like avocado, lettuce and tomato on corn tortillas because the risottos and pastas were a little too oily for me. I’m vegan and also gluten free. I used to feel like a pain and now I’m just like, whatever, it’s not that hard and they were really kind. Oh, and I got a little tired of fresh fruit (I ate a LOT, lol) so a few nights I got super creative and asked for plantains with raisins and maple syrup and they were like, oooookaaaay, but they did it, lol. 🤣🤷🏻♀️ It was just nice to have a sweeter treat, especially we were so active most days.
Lots of Mayan culture there too and people were just so kind, respectful of nature, the land, intelligent, spoke multiple languages, knew a lot about the history, wildlife, flora…just incredible experience overall. We really enjoyed it. We loved the history and nature especially. What a treat it was for us.

The dirty bathroom and cold water would ruin my vacation you are a tough cookie 😂 this happened when we went to myrtle beach a couple of years ago I felt gross the entire time and I made them come up and clean it .

I love Mexico! But, when a friend and I stayed at an Airbnb in Mexico City for Christmas 2017, there was no hot water for showers 90% of the time!

if its 3 meals a day for 4 people at the buffet INCLUDED for that $75 a night, i could quite comfortably ignore the mold and make the most of cold showers! least its warm weather, not Wintery. THATs when i would have a prob with cold showers. lol

Coati have a long tail that sticks up at times. The animal in the video is an agouti

@@kaybridges956 they can look similar. But a capybara is bigger and the head is rounder.
I'm a tropical ecologist - the animal is an agouti. :) Capybaras don't live in Mexico (they are further south) and coatimundis do have the long tails and their faces are a bit racoon-like.

for all inclusive resorts the only other one we have stayed at a few times in that area is Oceans Riviera Paradise, the buffet and resort was great but the beach was not as pretty

I’m always worried about the refried beans. I wouldn’t think their recipe would change on a daily basis, so probably whoever you’d asked just gave you a answer without really knowing, so who knows which one was correct.

oh hang on...didnt Kiki say it was all inclusive? like buffet food included in the cost of your week? but she said she only paid $75 per day hey? so hmmm....that cant be right? i cant imagine even managing to feed a family of 4 three meals a day for $75?? so if thats the case...if the buffet 3x a day WAS included for the $75 each day then Holy Crap On A Cracker!
i wouldnt mind cold showers! hell i'd be fine with no shower at all for that money! we could run under the lawn sprinklers! lol

Bienvenidos! I believe you saw a agouti, which is rodent. I live and spend a lot of time on the west coast of Colima and Jalisco, what type of sunscreen do you recommend as we wear protective swimwear instead but it’d be nice to not use that sometimes.

I love the buffets! Last year we went to Dominican and you couldn't take anything by yourself. They had to serve everything and it was annoying. Glad to see that it changed back. Although, maybe only in Mexico

so i was fortunate and didnt have much loose skin, i definitely have a little and i have lots of stretch marks from pregnancy and weight gain:)

Do your kids ever grab non- vegan stuff at the buffet? Particularly dessert? I am fully plant based, and we are at home, but I’m struggling with family visits, friends homes, restaurants etc.

Perhaps you just need to buy a timeshare in U.S and exchange it to a resort, the trick is to buy a timeshare at an Elite resort, you paid too much, the timeshare owner only either paid zero or only $219 for a m entire week!
