That hole for the EGR on the manifold is 3/8' pipe. I tapped it with a pipe tap and put a pipe plug in it that sits flush, Don't even know that hole is there now.

A big thank you 👍🏻 I’m doing this currently and couldn’t figure out a solution to the linkage bracket. Nice and easy 👍🏻👍🏻

This does make a difference that you can feel. I've done it to mine 👍

Thanks for the video, I just got a 86 f150 and I wanna put a new carb on it. Don't know much about old truck stuff I grew up on 90's imports.

The original single barrel is a good carb too. You can buy a new single barrel carb on Amazon

Exhaust recirculation actually cools the combustion process and reduces NOx

Instead of welding the tubes shut you could have removed the fittings and used threaded pipe plugs for a clean job. Otherwise I can understand why you did this swap.

Travis Tritt wouldn't settle for a 1 barrel carb why should anyone else?

240 6cylinder head has a smaller combustion chamber

@@daffiehalley7723 I will have to try that out when this one fails

@@slaterrockshop4564 If I recall correctly, its a difference of about 8cc in chamber size. If it's originally one of the 8.8:1 CR 300s from the factory it will bump it into the 9.4:1 area according to some math on a forum I found.

There are a lot of manufacturers of the replacement 2150 where did you purchase yours and how has it been doing over the last year

I have ran several of these 2150s that I bought off of Amazon for under $100. They do great, haven't had any issues. I just put one on a 1947 cj2a with a 225 v6.

@marksfordtrucksrepairs1631 I actually just ordered another one for my 75 bronco, I will check and see what the venturi size is on it when I get back to the house

@marksfordtrucksrepairs1631 mine ran well. I'm sure it would be better with a larger intake but they are very pricey.

Forgot to ask what size Venturi did the carb have?
