    By far the best for a 300 6 is replace the long run intake/exhaust with the fuel injection intake/exhaust. I put a side draft weber on the intake, bit of work but also incredible look.

    The later model aluminum EFI intake upper portion isnt too difficult to modify to accept any carburetor you wish to install. You just have to be capable of fabbing up part and welding aluminum

      You lost me at welding but yes thats a great idea too

    The reduction in plenum size and the effective loss of the runners on the middle two cylinders causes low rpm torque loss and will likely hurt mid range Hp. Even if you do gain slightly at peak rpm. The factory inlet port size of 1.65 inch is enough to supply a 4.9L engine the volume of air to make +170hp flywheel at 4000rpm. Something a naturally aspirated 300 won't do lol.
    There's a lot more to designing intakes than just making bigger holes.

      Might want to look at what the Ford 4.9l community has done with these...they can make 170hp naturally aspirated very easily.

    THATS AWESOME DUDE, WAS CONDIERING EXACT SAME THING.
    Who needs a 600 usd offenhauser intake when you can build one for free ;-)
    WHAT the hell are those open spaces above and below the intake runner?
    Some like cooling ports or something?
    musnt be too important since they seem to be getting bl;ocked off entirely?
    ANYWAYS, im thinking of buyin an old 66 mercury truck with Ford Inline 240 6 clyinder.,
    the owner wants alot of money in my opinon considering she also says the engine is kinda tired.
    SOOOO, can i bolt up any newer than 1966 ford inline 6 engine to this 66 tranny?
    i just dont wanna drive 6 hrs there 6 hrs back with a $5000 truck and have that engine fail and not know what my options are ahead of time.
    i would kinda like a auto tranny but sticking as close to original is also a big plus

      Open space was for the heating part of the intake from the exhaust, ill be loosing that but hopefully the header will keep it hot enough, awsome on the truck not sure the answere for an old truck like that but all ive seen is yes, these engines were in in these trucks forever.

    Why didn't you use a cut off wheel?

    • @anthonyantunez6172
      @anthonyantunez6172  ปีที่แล้ว

      At the time i didnt have it but it would have also worked.As long as it had the depth to cut to the inner ring

    IT'S VERY VERY COOL ADAPTATION..
    DID YOU NEED TO WELD SOMETHING?

    Nice job. How do you feel about this compared to the 2 barrel adapter you was using before?

    • @anthonyantunez6172
      @anthonyantunez6172  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Using the 2 barrel right now with an adapter, wainting to paint and install.

    • @willhart7861
      @willhart7861 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Ah ok, I'm eager to see what you think about it once it's been installed. I'm wondering if it's worth the time to modify an intake versus the adapter.

    Just buy a 4 barrel offenhouser intake manifold and stop wasting your time

    • @anthonyantunez6172
      @anthonyantunez6172  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very pricey, but it will be a plan in the future

      I'd say it's fun making the two barrel intake to start with

    • @justintime8095
      @justintime8095 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I’d think unless you were doing other power adders this is gonna do just as good as the offy or any other intake for the 300.
