- After a few weeks in Hanoi, we moved 800km south to Da Nang and we love it here. We've been here over a month now and it's an awesome city. In this vlog we share all the reasons why we came here and what daily life in Da Nang is like in 2024.
We moved to Vietnam to work on our own projects:

If you do youtube, you may fail in your country, or another country, but if you do youtube in Vietnam, about culture, or tourist destinations in Vietnam, I am sure you will succeed, people. There are 100 million people in Vietnam, 90% have phones, and Vietnamese people always support foreigners making vlogs to promote our culture to international friends, you will definitely succeed. Post videos every day, you will see the number of channel subscribers increase every day
Thanks for the tips! The process of making the video is the true joy. Also very cool that some people watch, but we will continue to make them even if it's only 100 people for each video :)
Nếu ở vietnam bạn làm các địa danh chiến tranh thì có cả năm không hết, 3 lần đại phá quân mông cổ, Điện biên phủ kỷ niệm 70 năm thắng pháp, 9/5/ 1954, 49 năm thắng Mỹ 30/4/1975, rồi 30 năm TQ, rồi 30 năm campuchia, về Vũ khí đã hạ gồm có tàu sân bay, máy bay B52, xe tank M48, pháo 175 ly vua chiến trường và rất nhiều cacác loại khác.@@martinrue

Welcome to Vietnam. And thanks for learning our beautiful language, culture and history. We Vietnamese warmly welcome anyone who wants to be Vietnamese.
Cảm ơn bạn! I'm very happy to be here, experiencing the amazing culture, food, and people of Vietnam 🙏
Probably the best decision
Green vegetable, fruit, less sugar, best coffee in the world, best weather
simple life is the best
Greeting from Southend on sea
everything u said is mostly right except best weather. It's hot except for a few months where it's pleasant and comfortable
Da Nang is amazing 😍 I can’t wait to come back you guysss
We miss you! x
Im glad you're enjoying it, but dont forget to come home x
Wish you have a happy trip. ❤
Thanks 🙏
Great video! Looking forward to more! 🇨🇦
Thanks dude 🙏
@@martinrue No thank you for sharing! I've always been fascinated with Vietnam since I was a kid and the war was going on. I'm thinking of visiting in a couple years once my son graduates high school. I'm going to enjoy watching what you guys get up to! Take care and have a great week!!!
@@scottchapman2870 That's awesome! And thanks again.
Watching from the USA
me to
My husband & I are in USA. Hoping to visit there when we retire in a few years.
Thanks for the videos!
Thank you! Enjoy your trip when it comes around Jennifer 🙏
In addition to all the pluses you highlighted, Da Nang also has a decent airport where you can fly to most of the major cities in Asia. I think you guys made the right choice and the best choice. Some would choose Bali or Chiang Mai, but the cost of living there can’t compare to Da Nang.
Appreciate the video! I'll be moving to Da Nang to retire early by the end of June. Excited but a little nervous.
Thank you! You'll love it here, and there's a good expat and nomad community to make lots of new friends and connections.
Da Nang looks very impressive & very modern. I enjoyed the New Order track & liked 👍& subscribed. Entertaining video 😊.
Thank you 🙏
Amazing lifestyle. Work and life balance
Vietnam is absolutely amazing. I first visited the country for a visa run when my Thai visa ran out. I ended up liking it more than Thailand 😂 People are not as smiling as in Thailand but it's so much easier to get things done! People are humble and hardworking. Love it so much. You will enjoy!
We've met a lot of people here who've come from Thailand and already fell in love with Vietnam. I think Da Nang especially seems like such a potential hot spot, but is still before the peak where costs will eventually be higher, etc. We'll be in Thailand for a few months too, but I think my heart is already in Vietnam.
Summer time in the Beach , Eat good Food , the Best ...
I like this couple. Welcome 🙏
Thanks! ☺
Very cool and great informative sharing video, fully watched and thank you so much for sharing with us. I have just subscribed your channel too and greetings from Sydney - Australia
Really appreciate the support and kind words 🙏
👍🙂Great Video. Thank you ☀️
Thanks 😌
Awesome life.😊
Guys, you need to learn how to drive a motobike for Ha Giang trip later. It's a lot of fun to ride a bike in Vietnam and Da Nang is a good place to learn as it's so quiet.
Thanks for the idea - we're actually already riding! We'll do another vlog about that. On one hand, for sure, it's a good place to learn vs. in Hanoi, but it's also a little bit crazy at peak times here too :D
@martinrue beware all the scams with bike rental companies and always be on guard because motor bikes get stolen all the time if you are careless even once. Not trying to be negative but it's a reality and you can't count on the police to assist you if something go bad.
You will also love Hoi An when you get there. Da Nang is great because it has its own airport so you can easily travel outside of Da Nang also.
For sure! Da Nang is just too cool, but I'm also excited to spend a few days down in Hoi An and check it out. I'll do a video about that, too.
@martinrue I traveled all over Vietnam in 2022 and 2023. Hoi An was my favorite though it can be touristy at times. You also need to check out Hue and Nha Trang when you can. Most people love HCMC because it's fun and more wild but it's too crowded and the beach is a few hours drive depending upon traffic. Also Da Nang is much cheaper than Ha Noi and HCMC, plus cleaner. You haven't experienced the rainy season yet. Beware when the streets flood because of poor urban design and bad drainage, which is true in most Vietnamese cities. Storms and flooding can be very nasty and dangerous. It will be foolish to go out when there's flooding so make a Plan B just in case during the rainy season.
I’ll be there this week. 🔥
Awesome! You're going to love it. Come join our fun little community at "Coworking Danang".
@martinrue Sure! How can I find the community? I'll be staying around My Khe Beach.
@@jonathanditren7671 Just find it on Google Maps, Grab here, buy a day pass, hang out and see if it's your vibe. They have a site at: coworkingdanang.com
@martinrue sounds nice. Count on it. 💯
I wish I can trade places with you guys :), thank you for sharing!
Well if you ever find yourself in Da Nang, hit us up, we'll show you the cool coffee spots! Thanks for the support!
@@martinrue Thanks for the offer :)

And it's getting hotter! :)
WOW, VERY ENVIABLE👍🧡🌴🌞⛩
If you get the chance to come to Vietnam, definitely book it :)
Well come to viet nam
Thank you!
I wonder how is the air quality in Da Nang. I want to move there this year.
It's much better than in the north. We noticed it was a little harder there, but Da Nang is perfect - no issues at all and being by the beach helps a lot too.
@@martinrue What issues did you have with the air quality in the north? Any bad health symptoms?
@@Feathertail2205 No nothing bad, you can just tell it's a bit worse that's all.
@@martinrue Good to hear, thanks.
Thank you so much for the information. The IQair app scared me about the air quality in Da Nang. I guess it’s okay when live near the beach.
👍
What country are you from? I had to turn on CC so I could understand your English ,
I trust the auto-generated CC made it easier for you. English is a challenging language to learn. I don't envy new learners! I'll endeavour to add CC in future videos to make it easier for people in your situation.
English is a bitch and I’m an American
What is the quiet part of town you are in?
We're in Khuê Mỹ.
@@martinrue Nice! Enjoy :)
Where are you from?
The little dog has caused some damage to your sunglasses.
We're originally from the UK. The glasses survived!
Dog 😍😍
Almost everyone in this neighbourhood knows this dog. It's too cute.
Not another blogger in Da Nang
cute couple
Thank you 🙏
Where are you from😊
We are from the UK.
Good video
Thanks Michael 🙏
So, no Vietnamese friend in Vietnam?
So??? Is it a life and death thing???
Hi Martin! If either Trump or Biden is elected again we will also join you guys :) it would be nice if you can share more details on price for accommodation, food, etc. :) All the best mate.
I'll see you in Da Nang, then :) Cost-wise, we're spending around $700/month (accom + food). That could easily be less if we moved to a place out of the city, but of course it depends a lot on what your tastes and needs are.
@@martinrue interesting, thank you. Looking forward to your future VLogs. Have fun ;)
@@rahamohebbi Thanks mate 🙏
Trump & Biden: Hey, its not fair. Can we join?
😂😅😊 don't come to sài gòn the heat may get u PTSD including headache, sunburn, and free tan 😂😅😊.
We're too in love with Đà Nẵng to leave :)
Xin chào
Chào bạn!
Why? To make videos?
No, TH-cam is just a hobby. It's nice to document some things to look back on.
Is Danang full of pommys??? Omg I hope not especially with blokes that have haircuts like that🤪🤪🤪
Pretty worse country in Asia ….
Worse than Bangladesh??? Pakistan??? India???
Stupid. vietnam is most peaceful in the world.
