I DID A SOLO RETREAT IN HOI AN
I took a few days off to go on a solo retreat to the beautiful town of Hội An. I spent the time riding around and just being alone with my own thoughts. It was awesome. Do you ever do solo retreats? If so, please share - I'm very curious to hear other people's experiences.

24 HOURS ON A TINY ISLAND NEAR DA NANG
มุมมอง 2Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Together with everyone from our co-working space, we spent 24 hours on a tiny island off the coast of Da Nang. It was so much fun to hang out with awesome people and be away from the laptop. As beautiful as Vietnam, and the Chàm Islands are, it's the people you meet that make the journey meaningful. After a few weeks in Hanoi, we moved 800km south to Da Nang and we love it here. We've been here over a month now and it's an awesome city. In this vlog we share all the reasons why we came here and what daily life in Da Nang is like in 2024. FIRST TIME IN DUBAI
มุมมอง 1.6K3 หลายเดือนก่อน
We're on the way to Vietnam and we're breaking up the long trip with a stop in Dubai for a few days. Dubai is a city I've never especially been interested in, but I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and well-run the entire city seems to be.
I'M LEAVING THE COUNTRY! WHAT'S IN MY BAG?
มุมมอง 2793 หลายเดือนก่อน
It's finally time to leave the country! Elizabeth and I are off on an adventure to the other side of the planet to live the most minimal lifestyle possible. I'm packing up my life into a single backpack... but what am I taking with me?
CO-WORKING IN MANCHESTER
มุมมอง 2674 หลายเดือนก่อน
We have finally quit our jobs to focus on our own projects full time. Until we jet off to the other side of the world, we're making the most of the home advantage and spending the day in Colony - one of the best co-working spots in the city.

HANGING OUT IN 4K IN VALENCIA + BARCELONA

I'm taking a little break to hang out with some friends in Valencia and Barcelona and check out some cool spots. The question is: did I kill the drone or did it survive the trip?
IS VENICE A GOOD NOMAD CITY?

I recently spent a few days in Venice (in the cool neighbourhoods of Castello and Cannaregio). Here's what I got up to. Spoiler: it's mostly me being lost and tortured by mosquitoes.

THIS IS MY WORST VLOG
มุมมอง 257ปีที่แล้ว
When was the last time you did something for the first time?
nice choice
Da Nang( and Hoi an also Hue ) from October /November to approximately february/march is heavy rain , floods unswimmable sea, it sucks then and the rest of the time its too hot , Avoid. Been going to Vietnam 20 + years and i can safely say im done, its not progressive at all, compared to the likes of South Korea Japan , and even kuala lumpuar and Singapore . yeah Vietnam is cheap but cheap attracts more cheap . I was charmed by it for sure at the start , but charms do wear off eventually😅
A beautiful place and a great experience x
nothing like a solo travel for self reflexion and exploration. great suff as always.
Exactly! Thanks for the encouragement 🙏
Never seen you look so relaxed x
It was very relaxing! ☺
Loved this guys! 🥰
Thank you! ❤
Nice!
Hoi An looks beautiful! 😍 What's the weather like there this time of year?
It's very hot, but no complaints :)
Is flying drones okay in Vietnam?
What country are you from? I had to turn on CC so I could understand your English ,
I trust the auto-generated CC made it easier for you. English is a challenging language to learn. I don't envy new learners! I'll endeavour to add CC in future videos to make it easier for people in your situation.
English is a bitch and I’m an American
Have a nice trip❤❤😊😊
Thank you!
😊😊❤
Beautiful Island ,..
👍🙂Great Video. Thank you ☀️

What is the quiet part of town you are in?
We're in Khuê Mỹ.
@@martinrue Nice! Enjoy :)
Wish you have a happy trip. ❤

Why did you have to settle with that? You should have aimed a bit higher….😢
Where are you from😊
We are from the UK.
A subscribe for you lovely couple 😂
Thank you 🙏
Im glad you're enjoying it, but dont forget to come home x
Why? To make videos?
No, TH-cam is just a hobby. It's nice to document some things to look back on.
Looks so amazing!!
Thanks James! 🙏
Thanks for letting us know about this secret island. You guys are the first on youtube to show this island. Great video!
I don't know if we are the first, but I'm so happy you enjoyed the video and very happy to encourage more people to visit (and respect) the island. 🙏
Vietnam is absolutely amazing. I first visited the country for a visa run when my Thai visa ran out. I ended up liking it more than Thailand 😂 People are not as smiling as in Thailand but it's so much easier to get things done! People are humble and hardworking. Love it so much. You will enjoy!
We've met a lot of people here who've come from Thailand and already fell in love with Vietnam. I think Da Nang especially seems like such a potential hot spot, but is still before the peak where costs will eventually be higher, etc. We'll be in Thailand for a few months too, but I think my heart is already in Vietnam.
Bonega filmeto, Martin. Dankon! Belegan insuleton vi vizitis. La mondo estas mirindaĵo, ĉu ne?
Dankon amiko! Jesja - ĝi estas senfina fonto de beleco, amikeco kaj mirindaj spertoj. Ĝuu la BK-on ekde morgaŭ. Mi volas vidi fotojn! ☺
Awesome video guys. This is the second video I watched you guys since the first video you guys moved to VN. You and your friends had so much fun time on the little island. It likes paradise. Enjoy and have fun in VN. I can’t wait to take my family vacation to come to Đà Nẵng some days. It is a beautiful city. Thanks for the great video guys.
That's such a nice comment, and thank you for being so welcoming. We love Vietnam and can't wait to experience more. Cảm ơn anh!
I like this couple. Welcome 🙏
Thanks! ☺
Amazing stuff
Thank you! 🙏
Great video of an amazing place. Please drive carefully xxx
We're being extra careful!
Daddy Cowork here, it was a fantastic trip! Love it!
🤣🤣🤣 Great success, nicely done!
Love these video's! I
Thank you 🙏
I could do without the bumpy boat ride but the island 🏝 definitely reminded me a bit of the one on the movie The Beach ⛱️. A beautiful place indeed.
Haha that's exactly what I said once we got off the boat. Luckily it did not have a similar story arc as the movie.
Is Danang full of pommys??? Omg I hope not especially with blokes that have haircuts like that🤪🤪🤪
Chúc hai cháu có một chuyến đi chơi thật vui vẻ và hạnh phúc ở Việt Nam nhé ❤❤.!!
Cảm ơn bạn! 🙏
Where are you from? The little dog has caused some damage to your sunglasses.
We're originally from the UK. The glasses survived!
Awesome life.😊
Xin chào
Chào bạn!
My husband & I are in USA. Hoping to visit there when we retire in a few years. Thanks for the videos!
Thank you! Enjoy your trip when it comes around Jennifer 🙏
great video
Thank you 🙌
You will also love Hoi An when you get there. Da Nang is great because it has its own airport so you can easily travel outside of Da Nang also.
For sure! Da Nang is just too cool, but I'm also excited to spend a few days down in Hoi An and check it out. I'll do a video about that, too.
@martinrue I traveled all over Vietnam in 2022 and 2023. Hoi An was my favorite though it can be touristy at times. You also need to check out Hue and Nha Trang when you can. Most people love HCMC because it's fun and more wild but it's too crowded and the beach is a few hours drive depending upon traffic. Also Da Nang is much cheaper than Ha Noi and HCMC, plus cleaner. You haven't experienced the rainy season yet. Beware when the streets flood because of poor urban design and bad drainage, which is true in most Vietnamese cities. Storms and flooding can be very nasty and dangerous. It will be foolish to go out when there's flooding so make a Plan B just in case during the rainy season.
🥰😍🤩 Welcome to Vietnam. And thanks for learning our beautiful language, culture and history. We Vietnamese warmly welcome anyone who wants to be Vietnamese.
Cảm ơn bạn! I'm very happy to be here, experiencing the amazing culture, food, and people of Vietnam 🙏
Are you working as a software engineer?
Probably the best decision Green vegetable, fruit, less sugar, best coffee in the world, best weather simple life is the best Greeting from Southend on sea
everything u said is mostly right except best weather. It's hot except for a few months where it's pleasant and comfortable
Appreciate the video! I'll be moving to Da Nang to retire early by the end of June. Excited but a little nervous.
Thank you! You'll love it here, and there's a good expat and nomad community to make lots of new friends and connections.
