THanks for this. Just one comment for those whose window is stopped in the closed position, as was mine. Rather than attempt to cut the cable for the window to be removed, I was able to get a longer 10mm wrench onto the two nuts to loosen and then used my fingers to undo. A little slow but eventually they came out. I undid all of the bolts holding the assembly so the assembly would drop enough to allow the window to drop from the upper guide track and then I was able to lift it out.

This is great. I'm having an issue where my window wiggles around, and gets stuck when I'm putting it up. In order to roll it up, I have to pull on it while wiggling side to side. Does that mean I need a new regulator? The motor and everything does work. It's just hard. Is something loose?
+Michael E Thanks for watching! It could be the regulator, but you will want to inspect it first. It could be that it is just loose and needs to be adjusted and tightened back down, but you won't know until you look! 1aauto.com
is there a way to have to have the window in the up position temporarily while waiting for my part. my window has fallen into the door
cut about 10 inches of the cable from the motor tug it up till the Window feels tightly closed and secure it using the rail bolts. wrap the cable behind the bolt and tighten it. like when adjusting a bicycles brakes.

hi there, great video....I have a question regarding a problem with passenger side window on my 2004 honda civic which is stuck in the down position [open]. I purchased the driver side window switch and that didn't fix the problem I also checked the wires in the door jamb and those are all in tact. The window does not move up manually so I am assuming the cable didn't snap so can I assume that the window regulator motor failed, if this is the case how will I be able to access the bolts that hold the window regulator to the window if it is in the lowest position in the door. Thank you in advance for your advice.
loosen all the bolts to the regulator and motor and you can pull it back far enough to loosen the window at the very bottom
that was a bitch to do...i just did it took me almost all day with one run to tool shop for an extension bit

Hey man, I have an 05 honda civic si, do you have anything for that? I had the window regulator go out which is different from the one you are showing. I unbolted everything. The problem is the window seems to be stuck. I cannot get the regulator track out of the door... Any tips?

I can't remove the two bolts that secure the window because it got stuck below the two opening holes. Is there another way to unscrew these bolts? Please help.

what is the part # on the high quality one?
How do you go about starting this job when the window is stuck in the "up" position? My switch, wiring, fuse, etc. is fine, but the motor just clicks when trying to move it up or down. Seems like a catch 22 of needing to have it down to be able to do this.
Kenneth Kopczyk I had the same issue so I cut the metal cable on both sides.

Driver Window stuck in up position, motor is bad (tried jumping it directly with a batter), how do i go about lowering the window to then remove it?
I have searched the internet, and have found nothing.
+XyXInc Thanks for checking us out! You may be able to remove the regulator by removing he bolts and shimmying the assembly down to the point where you can get it to release. You may also find there are clips that hold the window glass onto the regulator down towards the bottom, some vehicles have this some do not. We hope you get this out soon! 1aauto.com

@@1AAuto Update: Unbolted the regulator (track) assembly and motor. Then tilted the window back and forth to gain access to the window bolts. It was a bit difficult, but honestly no other way to do it if the motor is completely dead.
I replaced the regulator brand new assembly but the window still only goes down not up I also replaced the master window switch also the passenger switch still only goes down not up what could be the problem

I have same, I swapped the wires on the motor to operate the windows back up with down switch, not sure issue

No, this window regulator will not be compatible with the Honda Accord. We currently do not have an auto repair video specific to your vehicle. You might be able to apply some of the basic steps shown in this video to your application. +everette romero
In my car it only makes a clicking noise and the motor gets warm

i wish u would have had a window installed to show that removal...it took me all day because of the two screws that are at the bottom that attach to the window...i don't know what honda was thinking by not putting a huge hole so hands and a tool can fit to remove these two bolts...i don't even know how when i get the new regulator how im going to attach those two screws...and i am a woman with small hands...so friken ridiculous they don't make these cars that last forever user friendly for repairs...
