A very thought provoking video. Hindu puranas are very profound and give a clear idea of what had happened in the past. It talks of time in terms of Brahma days and Brahma years. One Brahma day comprises of 2 kalpas denoting day and night similar to what we have as AM and PM. One kalpa is for the duration of 4.32 billion years. This is sub divided into various time cycles like Manvantara, Mahayuga, etc. During the colonial period, the time frame indicated in Hindu puranas were not accepted by the colonial rulers. Post WW II and after several scientific studies carried out mainly in USA and Europe, it has been established that the age of the Earth is around 4.32 billion years. So, the possibility of life having existed in the time frames as mentioned in Hindu epics, looks quite plausible. Think outside the box! Read up on the development of written languages. Only elites would really have a need for written languages to record land ownersip, other assets. All languages go through proto language stage. Some languages are lost due to wars, invasions, other cultural reasons. Sanskrit was a dead language until the British scholars got. interested. Even today no one actually knows the correct prononunciation of Sanskrit, even though it us the basis for Englsh, other European languages. A cvilization is distinct by the construction of its language. Some people are making a valiant effort to revive their ancient language but speakng it only as best they can. Modern English speakers can barely read documents 200+ years old. When I first went to London in 1985 I asked a Police officer for directions, could not understand one word! There is a little mistake. The statue is 2,80,000 year old, not 28,000. Incidentally, copper age in human civilization is supposed to be dated between 3500 and 2300 BCE. So, the statue must have been created by Hindus.

A very thought provoking video. Hindu puranas are very profound and give a clear idea of what had happened in the past. It talks of time in terms of Brahma days and Brahma years. One Brahma day comprises of 2 kalpas denoting day and night similar to what we have as AM and PM. One kalpa is for the duration of 4.32 billion years. This is sub divided into various time cycles like Manvantara, Mahayuga, etc. During the colonial period, the time frame indicated in Hindu puranas were not accepted by the colonial rulers. Post WW II and after several scientific studies carried out mainly in USA and Europe, it has been established that the age of the Earth is around 4.32 billion years. So, the possibility of life having existed in the time frames as mentioned in Hindu epics, looks quite plausible. Of course, the civilisations that existed in the past, may not necessarily have a physical link with today’s human civilisation. But, as ancient Vedic Hinduism or Sanatana Dharma talks of a spiritual connect between all living creatures everywhere in not just our Universe, but also all multiverses, it would be quite appropriate for our epics to talk of connectivity between peoples who lived in past time cycles, with the people living at present. Incidentally, Vedic Hinduism also has a deep spiritual connect with other ancient religions like Shintoism, Zoroastrainism and even Judaism. Think outside the box! Read up on the development of written languages. Only elites would really have a need for written languages to record land ownersip, other assets. All languages go through proto language stage. Some languages are lost due to wars, invasions, other cultural reasons. Sanskrit was a dead language until the British scholars got. interested. Even today no one actually knows the correct prononunciation of Sanskrit, even though it us the basis for Englsh, other European languages. A cvilization is distinct by the construction of its language. Some people are making a valiant effort to revive their ancient language but speakng it only as best they can. Modern English speakers can barely read documents 200+ years old. When I first went to London in 1985 I asked a Police officer for directions, could not understand one word! At the airport I asked the ticket agent where Zi could find the ladies bath or rest room. She told me they didnt have one. Thank goodness an English woman next to me told her I needed the "water closet" or WC!
