Yeah after reading the comments, I think I agree, you cannot believe how utterly excited I was to see you react to this movie, even if it was cut, I can understand copyright, but other people have longer ones uploaded, or with filters covering the screen, this is only 4 minutes? and with the end abruptly cutting off? it's so disappointing 🙁
NGL I started binging these books after I caught this stream. I remember reading one of them in early grade school. Really dark for stuff you could buy at a scholastic book fair as a kid
I adore this movie. I’m so happy more people have been talking about it recently. I was 11 when it first came out in 2010, and the scene of Soren flying in the thunderstorm f*cking changed my brain chemistry. It’s one of those moments in animation I wish I could go back and watch for the first time again and again. The only other time I’ve geeked out that hard in recent years was during Across the Spiderverse. Also I’m sure a bunch of other people have already said this, but the fact that this movie STILL looks amazing in 2024 is insane. Like, even movies I think are timeless story wise, like the first How to Train Your Dragon movie (which is my favorite movie) still looks a bit dated animation wise. It’s very difficult to make 3D animated movie look timeless because technology is always advancing. But somehow they did it. Over 20 years later and the owl movie still looks stunning.
I'm a new fan of the series, and I love it so much! I've always loved owls and drawn them. I can't wait to share my work and all the inspiration I've been gathering from the books!
Ah, yes. One of Zack Snyder’s debatably better pictures. I remember seeing this in IMAX 3D as a teenager, and it was simply AWESOME. It truly elevated it from just being a movie to an experience.
I wish they didn't mix up some major plot points in the story - I adored the books, and was so excited for the movie, and while it looked really nice, the story got confusing with how they decided to handle it, and it ruined a few characters and any chance they had for a sequel without getting even more convoluted....
Ohh I think my brother read the books, I was like what is this and why does it seem so familiar? He used to tell me about the owl characters in the books when he read them lol
Yeah, but movies have been doing that for years. However, not all owls have silent flight. Pygmy owls are mostly diurnal, so they don't, and fish owls don't need it to catch fish.
It's odd how animation fans barely reference this movie despite it not feeling like it's dumbed down for kids. Yes, the plot is convoluted, but at least they tried to make it feel a bit mature. Maybe someone like Chris Sanders could have made this adaptation work a bit better.
Funny you should mention a nuclear bomb, Saber. While it was NOT the reason(I think) but the books this is adapting are taking place on Earth, after some apocalyptic event whiped out humanity. and Owls(and some other animals) just evolved to having societies and groups and schools.
I can't lie: I really like this movie. I dunno why, but I just really like unique animal animation movies. First there was Stellaluna, then Guardians of Ga'Hoole
I owned this film. It was one of my favorite movies growing up and i even have the books, i was amazed of the fight scenes i thought it was the owl version of lord of the rings.
This was from 2010 but I miss that era in the 2000s in which nearly every children fantasy book series had a movie adaptation to try to follow the success of the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings movies. But some of them were nuclear dog poop like the Eragon movie though.
What I don't like is how they handle the barn owl gender dimorphism. I studied barn owls for quite some time tho and its relatevly easy to distinguish their gender. Females have brown to yellow ring around their faces and they have dots that resemble poppy seeds on her breast's and stomach and under the wings, males have pale white ring barely seen and Dont have those dots, here yea
Its funny how the parents of that brainwashed's brother who clearly was the set up to be the next villian, gave absolutly no cent whatsoever to how their son turn and became. Dude, your kid was brainwashed by an evil cult and turn out evil. You really dont care? Like anything at all? Why are you not mourning in any way? Why this movie ends withouth even the little of hope that the brother can be saved? Nop, he is evil now and the next big bad.
probably because the writers kept them alive- in the books, kludd murdered them; it also doesn’t end with a hopeful note for him because in the books he’s literally the leader of the pure ones, literally just owl nazis. the writers probably didn’t want to have the audience sympathize with a fascist leader lol
@@archiepelago4068 My gosh, he went from normal owl kid, with not even the little hint of being previously a bully or share a few some of the cult's ideals before being turned, just to straight up brainwashed super evil. Again, he was brainwashed! How is the audience not going to sympathize ? Great job Snyder.
@@fredy2041worse is that im pretty sure he wasn’t even a child in the books when it happened- im not sure why they made him and soren the same age. Nyra is his wife and he was the only Metal Beak. This movie makes me really wish The Warriors cats books had movie adaptions.
Quite literally could be a trilogy with shorts of the other clans.
It’s criminal that we’ve never had a warriors movie adaptation honestly that shit would be 🔥

deserves oblivion, like the books series. What a waste of time.

14 years later and still NO sequel.
i loved this one from start to finish ❤
I remember how epic this movie is. I also remember it being a time where every animated movie had an original song by Owl City.
Dude this is such an underrated movie. The book series literally changed me as a kid once I read them.
Wow 4 minites I know they have to edit them down but wow others have at least been 8 minutes
Then it cuts midway they talkin 😂
i think this one was a mistake but they haven’t fixed it so
I loved watching this movie as a kid.

Omg this was my favourite film as a child, have an obsession with birds lmao can’t believe you both watched it
I remember being obsessed with this while also mixing this movie with Rise of the guardians

Oh boy... This movie...
It got me into the books and man did I love them, but the movie really did Digger and Twilight dirty
Shout out to anyone who read the spinoff series about wolves (Wolves of the Beyond).
I love war crimes against owls.
I love this movie so much although the story is like an owl version of LOTR it's got one of the best feather animations ever
Totally one of my favourites, still one of the best animated movies of all time!🥰
I think i remember your comments on ToriDori's videos.
"One of the best" 😂.

Didn't expect let's watch on this film
Also When's Let's watch Eleanor's Secret [2009] that french-italian animated feature film
I read like 17 of the books if I remember correctly. Seeing this reminds me that they never gave the warrior cat books a movie/series.
Is the video supposed to be 4 minutes long?
