My favorite is definitely season 4. Umbara, Bounty Hunter arc, and the return of Maul all in one season is just too great. That being said, while season 1 is also my worst ranked season, there are a lot of good episodes in it that are often overlooked like the traitor episode, the introduction arc of Hondo Ohnaka, Lair of Grievous, and the introduction episode of Cad Bane. Rookies is already a widely popular episode of course.
My ranking: 7. Season 1 (Season 1's strength lies in single episodes rather than the story arcs; Rookies, Trespass & Innocents Of Ryloth are the best ones in my eyes. Other than that, this season is for the most part very kid-friendly, and the show had yet to reach its full potential through a darker and more mature tone...) 6. Season 2 (An improvement over S1 for sure; the Mandalore and Boba Fett arcs, as well as Cat & Mouse really takes it home in many ways. But other than that, the season as a whole still doesn't reach full potential, as its still somewhat kid-friendly and doesn't take any real risks later seasons would...) 5. Season 4 (The Umbara and Ventress / Maul's return season finale are some of the best arcs of the show, but other than that it starts of a bit slow, and a good amount of the other episodes are ok to say the least) 4. Season 6 (The season may be short as a result of the 2013 cancellation, but it brings up some awesome themes, and the Fives on the run and Yoda's force journey arcs are some of the most essential Star Wars stories in my eyes, making these 13 episodes a satisfying ending to show... Or so it was) 3. Season 3 (The show finally takes on a darker and more mature tone with this season. Lots of throwbacks to the CW movie / fan service throughout the first half, and the second half contains some really interesting themes, as well as some of the best arcs of the show - Mortis, The Citadel & Ahsoka Kidnapped) 2. Season 7 (While it is a bit short and perhaps feels a little too mechanic, the story of the Bad Batch and Ahsoka's journey are beautifully executed, and The Siege of Mandalore is the Episode 3,5 we never knew we needed, as well as the proper series finale we deserved) 1. Season 5 (Contains some of the best and darkest story arcs in the series, as well as an ending that in my eyes is the saddest moment in all of Star Wars. Plus, with so much screen time, this is Ahsoka's season in many ways)
@Ben Wilson Now that you mention it, the Cad Bane episodes in S2 weren't bad at all. The Geonosis arc was also great, and my favorite thing about them was the relationship between Ahsoka and Barriss... That would play a key role later on 😞. And sure, the S4 opening was visually beautiful, the Slaves of the Republic episodes are spectacular, and The Box is a great episode too! The season is in no way terrible, but I don't know I guess it just doesn't necessarily have the same rewatch value the other seasons do 👽
They should have replaced the Bad Batch (pretty much just a pilot) and the boring ass Tracer episodes with either 1.) the Assaj Ventress Dark disciple arc,2.) the one where Palpatine and General Grievous kill Darth Maul's mom,or 3.) the one where Bobba Fett kills Cad Bane

Season five has two of the best story arks back to back (maul with mandalore and ahsoka on the run) but the rebellion on the one planet is meh and imo the ark stealing the encryption code is awful but five is still my favorite season

Just finished watching The Clone Wars, and here's my ranking: 7. Season 1 (some really good episodes, but overall meh) 6. Season 2 (Better then S1 for sure, but not quite there yet with the great stuff) 5. Season 3 ( Clone Wars really starting to find its footing with this season). 4. Season 4 ( Some awesome episodes this season). 3. Season 7 (The Bad Batch and the last 4 episodes were excellent, the middle part of the season was a big weak point for me though). 2. Season 6 (The Fives Arc was incredible and Yoda's Journey Arc is my favorite part of the whole show) 1. Season 5 ( Easily the most solid season, Darth Maul really was a highlight for me and loved how the show found a greater role for him then just 'dying' on Naboo in episode 1)
Man I remember me and my mates watching Season 5 together and talking about the episodes at middle school, the last episode where Ahsoka left had us in tears, good stuff, love this series as well as Rebels
@@tantris2876 True. The turning point for the Clone Wars was mid way through season 3 when Ventress is cast out by Dooku. The status quo is never the same again and people start dying.
This is really helpful as I'm trying to get my kids into the Clone Wars (ages 8 and 9) and they've found the movie and first few episodes of season 1 boring. I clearly need to curate this. Thanks for your help.
My Ranking: 7) Season 1 (Rookies is a great episode, but the rest is all a bit meh to me). 6) Season 2 (Cad Bane episodes are good, but the rest if forgettable really). 5) Season 6 (Dont like putting it this low because the first and last arcs are incredible). 4) Season 4 (Umbara is in my top 3 arcs and the Ventress one is great). 3) Season 3 (Mortis is absolutely incredible, The Citadel is also one of my favourites). 2) Season 5 (God Tier. The Mandalore episodes have always been my favourite, Episode 16 is incredible, and the final arc is just perfect). 1) Season 7 (AMAZING. The Bad Batch arc I though was really good and it felt like a good beginning of the final season. The other two arcs completely overshadow the Martez Sisters thing, so for me that's why 7 is my favourite. And then the Siege of Mandalore. Like i said earlier on, the Mandalore episodes are my favourites, and these final 4 were great, with my favourite episode, ever, being episode 11).

Clone wars seasons ranked personally 7: Season 1 7/10 (decent season it was a bit kiddish but it wasn’t a bad start to clone wars, and it wasn’t dark at all which is what I liked from the other seasons.) 6: season 2 7.5/10 ( Felt like season 1 but slightly better, I felt it had more action and emotion) Also from here on out all these seasons are peak fiction. 5: Season 4 9/10: ( An amazing Season, I liked the slave episodes there are a few things I would do differently but still amazing.) 4: Season 3 9/10: ( This made clone wars what it was today, it brought the darker element to clone wars. It made Clone wars more adult. And I was there for it!!!) 3: Season 5 9.5/10: (could have been the best season. Seriously we got some of the best Darth Maul ever, great action, amazing emotion and a satisfying conclusion, the only problem we’re the droid episodes which were still pretty good. But I would have liked a more serious episodes than the droids.) 2: Season 7 10/10: (Props to Disney for this masterpiece of a season, we got the greatest ending in television history, The trace episodes were the only problem. And I also really enjoyed the bad batch episodes. Overall a good season. But the finale alone makes this one of the best seasons.) 1: Season 6 11/10: ( This was an amazing Season, I loved the five episodes which were in my opinion the best clone wars episodes ever, I didn’t mind the Jar jar Episodes with mace I thought they were pretty good. And the Yoda episodes were also peak. The Clovis and Padme episodes I actually enjoyed! They were the best politics in the clone wars show.) Overall, I give the clone wars show a 10/10: (had a slow start but just got better and better)
My list: 7. Season 1: some episodes were great like Rookies, Innocents of Ryloth, etc. a lot were forgettable and very safe. 6. Season 2: the stories become much more interesting like the Mandalore arc, however a lot were still just ok. 5. Season 3: this is where the show starts to be great with the standout highlights like the nightsister arc and the Mortis arc. Sadly the first half of the season is really what took this season down. 4. Season 6: I really like this season because I enjoy all of the arcs except for Jar Jar. The Fives arc is amazing, the Yoda arc is a little too confusing for me, and I really like the Clovis arc (I have been always one of those who enjoys the political episodes and I really like how it focusses on Anakin and Padmé's relationship) 3. Season 7: unpopular opinion: I don't hate the Martez sisters arc. I think it was ok in general (not the best but not the worst as well) and I see a lot of hate towards it that I just don't really agree with. Other than that, final arc was *the best* and bad batch was pretty good. 2. Season 4: I love this season because really the point where you reach the Umbara arc (Umbara is phenomenal), it gets really good (I must say, I'm not the biggest fan of the bounty hunters kind of stuff but it's pretty good). Also slave arc is traumatizing. 1. Season 5: this is season is **chef's kiss** I love the shadow collective arc with Maul and Mandalore, and then the Ahsoka arc is as amazing as the previous one. Onderon was pretty good, I think the Younglings were ok (it's unnecessary though) and the Droid arc.. I just don't really care about it.
Just finished clone wars, and here is my ranking. 7-season 1, its not bad, but mostly forgettable. I do like the episode rookies though. 6-season 2, again, not bad, but just above average. The best arcs are the mandalore plot and the zillo beast one. 5-season 3, the cadets arc is great, and both the nightsisters and citadel ones are very strong. I personally am not a huge fan of the Mortis arc, but still a very solid season. 4-season 4, it starts with a not to amazing water war arc, but makes up for it with the amazing umbara and undercover obi wan storylines. The reason this season is 4th is that it's a little inconsistent. 3-season 5, Don't get me wrong, the mandalore and ahsoka getting framed arcs are incredible, but the nomad droids and younglings ones were not great in my opinion. 2-season 6, this season has two incredible arcs in the conspiracy and yoda stories. A very strong one in clovis, and one eh jar jar one. Overall, season 6 is amazing. 1-season 7, this season is broken into 3 arcs. The bad batch one is very good, even if its a little predictable. The sisters one is not bad in my opinion, but its just average. The seige of mandalore arc makes up for it. It is the single greatest star wars the clone wars story ever. It might even be the best star wars story in my opinion. So, to sum up, I think the seasons literally get more and more better as they go along.
honestly; I like the jar jar stuff... I really like jar jar as a character and we needed more mace windu fight scenes cause he is one of my favorite characters in all of star wars. the plot and stuff was meh
7. Season 7 (It's great towards the end but all the stuff before that wasn't great) 6. Season 1 (Feels like a starting point, still a great season) 5. Season 2 (Takes everything in the first season and drastically improves upon it) 4. Season 6 (This is a pretty great series. The Fives stuff was really dark for the Clone Wars) 3. Season 3 (A brilliant season with the first hints of Mauls return) 2. Season 4 (Maul returns in the final episode and does some serious shit.) 1. Season 5 (The best thing to come out of Star Wars since the Original Trilogy)
1. Season 4 (A perfect mix of storytelling and action. The Umbara Arc is still my favorite arc.) 2. Season 3 (The first half is pretty slow and very politics heavy while the second half contains some of the best arcs and episodes.) 3. Season 5 (Contained fantastic arcs and some mediocre arcs. At its best, it did what season 4 did very well again. A very Ahsoka heavy season as well.) 4. Season 7 (The animation in this season is the best it’s ever been. The first two arcs were a little subdued, but the final arc made up for most of it.) 5. Season 6 (Despite being a short season and having some misplaced arcs, this season went for a more story driven approach and it worked.) 6. Season 2 (Overall a vast improvement over season 1. The animation and episodes were much better. The Geonosis and Mandalore Arcs were great. While there weren’t any bad arcs, they weren’t as good as some of the arcs seen later in the show. 7. Season 1 (The episodes were a bit formulaic and the animation still needed some work, but the Ryloth arc and stand alone episodes such as Rookies, Lair of Grevious, and The Hidden Enemy were highlights of this season.)
I think this might be exactly how I'd rank it. Season 5 is a bit overrated tbh. The last two arcs are some of the very best in the series and the first is alright as well, but the D-Squad arc is completely boring and forgettable and the younglings arc had a few moments but was mostly just meh.

@@tantris2876 it’s probably the season I’ve watched the most. This was the season I had the DVD set for so I have a lot of nostalgia for it. Also S5-7 do have higher highs but I can argue they all have lower lows as well.

I’d say season 3,4, 5 (and 6 if it were a full season and kept up the quality as the first 14 episodes) are the best seasons, with 4 being my personal favorite. Season 4 was just peak, the animation really started looking stunning, the storylines were exciting and different, the Umbara arc, Asajj’s bounty hunting antics, Maul’s return ,,,,, just pea Clone Wars
Here is my ranking. 7. Season 1: A good enough start to the show, even if it was pretty rough with a really inconsistent tone made with at the time bland characters, hammy dialogue and a confusing watch order. Rookies was a great episode though and helped set the stage for the development of the clones while the arc on Ryloth was a really good war-based arc and gave a bit more development to Ashoka Tano. 6. Season 2: Similar to Season 1, but better in almost every way. The Second Battle of Geonosis was incredible to watch and one of the first really great action scenes in the show, that felt reminiscent of movies like Saving Private Ryan. 5. Season 3: This is where the show really started to get great, but it had some arcs that dragged and were not at all interesting. The second half though with the Nightsisters, Mortis, and the Citidel arcs being fantastic standouts. The Nightsisters Arc was one of the first truly amazing arcs in the show, beginning with Count Dooku betraying Assaj Ventress and going back to her home in Dathomir where she trains and recruits Savage Opress to be Dooku's new apprentice. The Mortis Arc is definitely in my top 10 favourite arcs, being one of the first to explore another aspect of the Star Wars universe and go deeper into the lore of the Chosen One and why Anakin was that person. The Citadel Arc is an underrated one in my opinion, being a great survival arc where a group fo Jedi have to find and hopefully rescue a Jedi Master who is held captive in the Citadel. 4. Season 7 The final arc of the Seige of Mandalore and Order 66 is some of the best Star Wars content ever and is by far the best arc in the whole show, but those first two arcs were either just good or not that good. The Bad Batch arc was enjoyable, even though nothing amazing, while the Martez Sisters arc was a real drag and didn't work. 3. Season 6 I mostly disagree with you on this one. I thought it was great overall, with the Clone Conspiracy arc and Yoda's arc being some of the best in the show, and making this season a lot better even with the Clovis arc being really good, but not great and the Jar Jar Binks arc being really redunant and ridiculous. It might be shorter than the previous seasons, but I think there was a lot more good than there was bad. The Clone Conspiracy Arc was our first real look into the background of Order 66 and these inhibitor chips that made the clones follow that order. Fives' trying to uncover this mystery only to be met with deaf ears by almost everyone and dying as a result was so tragic. Yoda's Journey to becoming a Force Ghost was another amazing exploration of another aspect of this universe, and how Jedi after dying can become guiding forces for the living and a great end to the season. 2. Season 5 This was my number 1 for sometime until I thought more about the season you are about to see on that spot, and why I think it is slightly better. The one arc that drags it down a bit is the middle arc where the droids go on this adventure, and it just felt like a giant outlier to an otherwise fanastic season. That being said, the rest of the season was fantastic with the first two arcs on Onderon and with the younglings being pretty underrated and a great exploration of Ashoka and some other parts of Star Wars lore and the final two arcs with Darth Maul taking over Mandalore and Ashoka being framed for murder, going on the run and eventually leaving the Jedi Order being some more of the best Star Wars content ever. 1. Season 4 As you probably guessed, this season ended up being at the top for me. Mostly because I feel it is the most consistent season quality wise, with no really bad arcs. The first six episodes were a bit of a slog, even though I did enjoy the Mon Calimari arc. The next episodes after that were probably the only really mediocre parts of the season, before it explodes into greatness with the Umbara Arc, which is also one of my favourites in the show, being in my top 3. It had everything we wanted in a big all out war, with so much brutality, trauma and even betrayal by Pong Krell who was an incredible villain, showing another corrupt side to the Jedi. The action and drama felt inspired by Vietnam War movies like Apocalypse Now, Platoon and Full Metal Jacket, and was probably the darkest the show got to up to that point until the next season and the seasons after that. The arcs after that were also really great with the Slavers and Obi-Wan going undercover being big surprises. The season ends with Darth Maul's return, which was a great moment of fan service, and the final episode where Obi-Wan teams up with Ventress who becomes one of the show's best characters after we see so much of her family get wiped out by General Grievous and the Seperatists.
My Ranking 7.Season 1: I don't think this season is awful but they were still trying to find out how to make these episodes so some episodes are great like the Ryloth stuff, Rookies, and Lair of Grievous but then we also get some pretty bad stuff. 6.Season 6: I think the biggest problem with this season is that we get 2 really good arcs, one that's alright, and the one really stupid one. This is kinda interchangeable with Season 2 but I just prefer that one right now. 5.Season 2: I think that for the most part this season is great. The Mandalore episodes, Second Battle of Geonosis, Holocron Heist, Lightsaber Lost. But it still suffers from some weird kiddy dialogue like Season 1. 4.Season 7: The Siege of Mandalore is Without a doubt the best arc in the entire show but the Bad Batch arc was just good, and the Sisters arc was so painfully awful. 3.Season 3: This is actually the only season where I don't dislike an episode. All the stuff with Ventress/Savage is amazing, Mortis is great, The Citadel is awesome, Wookie Hunt has some great Ahsoka Development, and we get to continue with the Mandalore story from season 2. No real complaints I just like the other seasons better. 2.Season 4: I think the season starts off kinda slow with the Water War and Droid stuff but after that it's amazing. Umbarra is phenomenal, The Obi-Wan Undercover arc is tons of fun, and The Ahsoka vs Death Watch is really cool and actually sets up the final arc in Season 7 and Maul's return is just flawless. 1.Season 5: The Ahsoka arc and the Maul Mandalore arc are both sooo good that it makes this season #1. Even though those arcs are the main talking point I still think the Younglings, and Onderaan arcs are pretty good too.

My list, this is based off how many episodes I loved/liked compared to the total episodes #7. Season 1: I really liked the introduction of Cad Bane, The Malevolence Arc, The Ryloth arc and Lair of Grievous is a good episode, but that’s pretty much it #6. Season 3: the Kamino/Domino squad arc, the Mortis Arc, and the Citadel arcs were all great, and The Mandalore arc was good, however the Dathomir arcs and the Padawan arcs were just ok in my opinion #5. Season 2: I love the Holocron heist arc, Boba Fett Arc, Zillo Beast episodes, and the Second Battle of Geonosis arc is one of my favorite arcs in the entire series. The Death Watch Arc was also very good, and the solo episodes were surprisingly decent #4. Season 7: Yes, the Siege of Mandalore Arc/Order 66 Arc is the best arc in the entire series, I know. But it’s still not my favorite (fight me). However, the Sisters arc was really terrible, and while the Bad Batch arc was fun, exciting and had great twists with Echo, I would have rather had a more emotional arc or one that is a good sendoff for a popular character. Personally, if they switched the Bad Batch Arc with the unreleased Boba Fett vs Cad Bane episodes, I would have ranked this higher. #3. Season 6: the Fives arc is genuinely amazing and I love it, The Clovis arc is a great redemption of a not so beloved character, and the Yoda arc is really great as well. The Lost Ones is my favorite solo episode in all of Clone Wars, and my only complaint is the stupid 2 episodes with Jar Jar. #2. Season 5: The Onderon arc is honestly great and it’s one of my favorite arcs, but the stars of the show. THE DEATH WATCH ARC AND TEMPLE BOMBING ARC. These two are the best arcs in my opinion, along with an arc from the #1 season on this list. The bombing arc is emotional and heart wrenching, and the twist with Barriss was honestly amazing. And the Mandalore arc was perfect and is my second favorite arc in all of Clone Wars. It’s just amazing and it was a great sendoff for Pre Vizsla, Duchess Satine, and Savage Oppress. The padawan and the first 3 episodes of the droids arc is what holds it back. The last episode of the droid arc with Gregor was great though! #1. Season 4: do I need to explain? The Umbara arc is my favorite arc of all of clone wars, the Box arc was a great and fun undercover adventure, the return of Maul was great, Massacre is a great episode that makes you feel for Ventress, A Friend in Need is a really good episode with Ahsoka and Lux, The Slavers arc is great, and there’s only really one episode that is not that good, and even then it’s still decent. It’s just the best season
I've watched the show a few times completely through and here is my ranking (Rankings 1-4 are very close, but these are my opinions) 7. Season 1 This season was the beginning of clone wars and you can tell. There are a few stand out episodes like the Bane one and rookies. 6. Season 2 This is where clone wars starts to gain its footing. I like most of the arcs, but none really stand out to me as the best, although Mandalore might come to mind. 5. Season 6 I love the fives arc, and it sets up season 7, but the other arcs didn't do anything for me, and I found the Yoda one pretty boring, and the clovis one being the same. 4. Season 7 The bad batch arc for me is pretty good, the tracer arc is bad, but the seige of Mandalore arc is perfection for me, and the best arc in the series. 3. Season 3 I never really cared for the mortis arc, but it is good. This season is really carried by the arc troopers arc and the Citadel for me. 2. Season 5 The Mandalore and the ahsoka arc are incredible, but it's not number one for me because of the Gregor arc 1. Season 4 Season four for me is the most consistent and best, with it being led by the umbara and maul arcs, with the rest of the episodes( other than water war) are very good as well
My personal favorite season is Season 4! Obviously because of the Umbara arc and I really love how the Slaves of the Republic arc follows, and the Obi-Wan Undercover arc and the Ventress Bounty Hunter and Darth Maul Returns arcs but unlike you I really loved the Water War arc but only for a very specific reason! Two words.... KIT FISTO!! He’s just my personal favorite Star Wars character of all time, always has been!
7. S1: Mostly meh but it had its moments. 6. S2: Pretty enjoyable for the most part. 5. S6: Clovis arc was quite boring but it had some great moments, Jar Jar arc was horrible, the rest was fantastic though. 4. S7: Bad Batch arc was fun, Martez sisters arc was weak, final arc was perfection. 3. S3: Domino Squad, Nightsisters, Mortis, Citadel... this season was the turning point of the series. 2. My Ranking: 7) Season 1: Most of it is pretty meh, but it also has the Ryloth arc, Rookies, and Trespass (which is the most underrated episode in the series) 6) Season 3: The first half had some of the worst episodes in the show (like the one where R2 and C-3PO have to buy fruit for a birthday cake), but the second half was so good that it saved this season. 5) Season 2: It is a lot more solid than Season 1, with the Geonosis and Mandalore arcs being notable standouts. 4) It had a little too many episodes about younglings and droids, but the Maul and Ahsoka arcs are incredible and iconic 3) Season 7: I really liked Bad Batch, and I didn't like the Trace and Rafa arc, but what truly matters in this season is the Siege of Mandalore. Those are some of the best episodes on television, and are probably better than any Star Wars film. 2) Season 6: It had the two Jar Jar episodes, but every other one was great. 1) Season 4: Once you get the first few episodes out of the way, it is literal perfection. Every arc from Umbara onward is an absolute banger.

My ranking is definitely controversial 1. Season 4 2. Season 2 3. Season 7 4. Season 6 5. Season 1 6. Season 5 7. Season 3 Season 5 in my option is only loved because of the Ashoka and maul ark. I love those arms but the rest of the episodes are just fine Season 3 has a lot of filler bad episodes like the assassin episode. The only highlights were the mortis, citadel, and nightsisters ark. Season one has something that season 5 lacks and that is clones. Season 5 completely ignores the clones besides maybe the Ashoka ark. Season one sets up the clones and other characters so that they can be good and later seasons. But season 5 doesn’t build on that.
The only bad thing about 5 to me is the droid arc. Onderon is fine, and I love the Padawan arc. Younglings finding their crystals is a great concept for an episode, and I love Hondo! Ahsoka arc is perfect, and The Lawless is still my favorite episode of the show.
As a longtime Star Wars fan who watched every single episode from every season I think it all depends on one’s own preferences to see which season is better than which. For me personally I would say season 4 is the best one of all and I know it might be surprising to many. But at least for me if I were to rank each seasons episodes based on a star rating, season 4 would have the most star ratings, and that’s because in my opinion it’s the season that has the less boring and non sense making episodes considering the show is called the clone wars which is supposed to be mainly of the clones fighting in masses against enemies also in masses. Don’t get me wrong tho because out of each season there is at least 1 episode that would get a Full star rating. The siege of mándalore for example is one episode which would have a perfect star, except season 7’s episodes as a whole in star ratings added up wouldn’t be as high as season 4’s total star ratings.

Well sisters was terrible and bad batch was okay ) 2nd best: season: 4 I had a hard time choosing between this and 5 but this had the episode where r2 and c3po get lost or something so yeah. Best: 5 there are no bad episodes. Scratch that, there were only 2 mediocre episodes. And the arc wasn’t even that bad once it reached episodes 3 and 4. Every episode ranged from a 7/10 to a 9 or 10/10 imo but shadow collective, ahsoka’s last arc, onderon, the maul episode, the crystal arc Etc etc.
7. Season 1 (rookies is a really good episode and i really like the hondo ones. Ryloth is good but most of the season is kind of forgettable.) 6. Season 2 (the mandalore episodes are really good and theres some good stuff with cad bane. I like the boba fett episodes but the rest is just ok.) 5. Season 6 (i love the episodes with fives finding the inhibitor chips and the toda arc is great. Rush clovis is really good but mace windu and jar jar binks isn't that good.) 4. Season 3 (i love the mortis arc it's one of my favorites in the show and really got me to love the clone wars. The citedale is great and so is everything with the nightsisters but the beginning of the season is a little disappointing.) 3. Season 7 (the last 4 episodes of this season are some of the best in the show and i really like the ahsoka arc in the middle of the season but the first 4 episodes were a little disappointing.) 2. Season 4 (this season doesn't have a great start with water wars but i love the slave arc and when obi wan goes undercover it feels like anakin can no longer trust him and has lost his brother. The darth maul episodes are great. 1. Season 5 (the first episode with darth maul is really good and the onderon arc helps develop ahsokas character. I really like the gathering and mandalore. The last 4 episodes of this season are my favorite episodes in the show. I thought they were gonna make ahsoka a knight but instead she left because of the council and anakin has lost the only jedi he can still trust.)
I personally like season 1 (I’m talking in chronological order as I watched the entire show in chronological order and it was so much better) C’mon, it’s not like season 1 clone Wars is the worst thing to happen to Star Wars I’m pretty sure that reward goes to Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and the Yuzhong Vons story line in legends
Season 3 is the most consistent season. Not a SINGLE bad episode. Even Season 5, you're "number 1 choice," has the D-squad desert arc, which is the worst of the entire show.
I feel like if the Martez sisters get to weigh down season 7 as much as they do then the droid arc in season 5 should weigh that one down but other than that nothing that jumps out at me
Here's my ranking of the seasons: 7. Season 1: Pretty self explanatory. Some decent episodes but no standouts and most were either boring or too childish. 6. Season 3: This is kind of controversial and while clone wars really started to find its footing with the later half of the season I find the first half is a slog to watch. 5. Season 2: While this arc doesn't have many standouts the overall quality is fairly high with only a few stories dragging. Consistency puts this one higher than 3 for me. 4. Season 5: Last 2 arcs were phenomenal but the other 3 were pretty bad and bring it down especially the droid arc which was one of the worst in the show for me. 3. Season 7: While the last arc is the best in the show imo the other two especially the Ashoka one are enough to drag it down 2. Season 6: The Fives and Yoda arc are some of the best in the show and while it can drag I find the Clovis arc quite well done. Only negative is the Mace and Jar Jar arc. 1. Season 4: Besides 2 droid episodes and the average water war arc this season is one of the most consistent and has some of the best arcs in the show giving it the top spot.
7- Season 1 ( Rookies is great but the rest isn't that good or interesting. They were still trying to figure it out) 6- Season 2 ( Better than season 1 and had the awesome Geonosis and Cad Bane arcs but still getting used to making it) 5- Season 6 (The Fives arc is one of the best in the show and the Yoda one is good but the other arcs are pretty bad) 4- Season 7 ( The Siege of Mandalore is the best arc in the entire show but the first arc was fine and the sisters arc is terrible) 3- Season 3 (This season is great they really listened to feedback and made a flawless season and really started to get dark) 2- Season 4 ( This has so many great arcs like Umbara and brought back Darth Maul. They mastered making it good and dark) 1- Season 5 ( The Maul taking over Mandalore and Ahsoka Leaving arcs back to back are just so good they make it #1)

Season 5 the droid void thing was so boring
My favorite is definitely season 4. Umbara, Bounty Hunter arc, and the return of Maul all in one season is just too great. That being said, while season 1 is also my worst ranked season, there are a lot of good episodes in it that are often overlooked like the traitor episode, the introduction arc of Hondo Ohnaka, Lair of Grievous, and the introduction episode of Cad Bane. Rookies is already a widely popular episode of course.

7. Season 1 (Season 1's strength lies in single episodes rather than the story arcs; Rookies, Trespass & Innocents Of Ryloth are the best ones in my eyes. Other than that, this season is for the most part very kid-friendly, and the show had yet to reach its full potential through a darker and more mature tone...)
6. Season 2 (An improvement over S1 for sure; the Mandalore and Boba Fett arcs, as well as Cat & Mouse really takes it home in many ways. But other than that, the season as a whole still doesn't reach full potential, as its still somewhat kid-friendly and doesn't take any real risks later seasons would...)
5. Season 4 (The Umbara and Ventress / Maul's return season finale are some of the best arcs of the show, but other than that it starts of a bit slow, and a good amount of the other episodes are ok to say the least)
4. Season 6 (The season may be short as a result of the 2013 cancellation, but it brings up some awesome themes, and the Fives on the run and Yoda's force journey arcs are some of the most essential Star Wars stories in my eyes, making these 13 episodes a satisfying ending to show... Or so it was)
3. Season 3 (The show finally takes on a darker and more mature tone with this season. Lots of throwbacks to the CW movie / fan service throughout the first half, and the second half contains some really interesting themes, as well as some of the best arcs of the show - Mortis, The Citadel & Ahsoka Kidnapped)
2. Season 7 (While it is a bit short and perhaps feels a little too mechanic, the story of the Bad Batch and Ahsoka's journey are beautifully executed, and The Siege of Mandalore is the Episode 3,5 we never knew we needed, as well as the proper series finale we deserved)
1. Season 5 (Contains some of the best and darkest story arcs in the series, as well as an ending that in my eyes is the saddest moment in all of Star Wars. Plus, with so much screen time, this is Ahsoka's season in many ways)

@Ben Wilson Now that you mention it, the Cad Bane episodes in S2 weren't bad at all. The Geonosis arc was also great, and my favorite thing about them was the relationship between Ahsoka and Barriss... That would play a key role later on 😞.
And sure, the S4 opening was visually beautiful, the Slaves of the Republic episodes are spectacular, and The Box is a great episode too! The season is in no way terrible, but I don't know I guess it just doesn't necessarily have the same rewatch value the other seasons do 👽

Like i said earlier on, the Mandalore episodes are my favourites, and these final 4 were great, with my favourite episode, ever, being episode 11).

Clone wars seasons ranked personally
7: Season 1 7/10 (decent season it was a bit kiddish but it wasn’t a bad start to clone wars, and it wasn’t dark at all which is what I liked from the other seasons.)
6: season 2 7.5/10 ( Felt like season 1 but slightly better, I felt it had more action and emotion)
Also from here on out all these seasons are peak fiction.
5: Season 4 9/10: ( An amazing Season, I liked the slave episodes there are a few things I would do differently but still amazing.)
4: Season 3 9/10: ( This made clone wars what it was today, it brought the darker element to clone wars. It made Clone wars more adult. And I was there for it!!!)
3: Season 5 9.5/10: (could have been the best season. Seriously we got some of the best Darth Maul ever, great action, amazing emotion and a satisfying conclusion, the only problem we’re the droid episodes which were still pretty good. But I would have liked a more serious episodes than the droids.)
2: Season 7 10/10: (Props to Disney for this masterpiece of a season, we got the greatest ending in television history, The trace episodes were the only problem. And I also really enjoyed the bad batch episodes. Overall a good season. But the finale alone makes this one of the best seasons.)
1: Season 6 11/10: ( This was an amazing Season, I loved the five episodes which were in my opinion the best clone wars episodes ever, I didn’t mind the Jar jar Episodes with mace I thought they were pretty good. And the Yoda episodes were also peak. The Clovis and Padme episodes I actually enjoyed! They were the best politics in the clone wars show.)
Overall, I give the clone wars show a 10/10: (had a slow start but just got better and better)

4. Season 6: I really like this season because I enjoy all of the arcs except for Jar Jar. The Fives arc is amazing, the Yoda arc is a little too confusing for me, and I really like the Clovis arc (I have been always one of those who enjoys the political episodes and I really like how it focusses on Anakin and Padmé's relationship)
3. Season 7: unpopular opinion: I don't hate the Martez sisters arc. I think it was ok in general (not the best but not the worst as well) and I see a lot of hate towards it that I just don't really agree with. Other than that, final arc was *the best* and bad batch was pretty good.
2. Season 4: I love this season because really the point where you reach the Umbara arc (Umbara is phenomenal), it gets really good (I must say, I'm not the biggest fan of the bounty hunters kind of stuff but it's pretty good). Also slave arc is traumatizing.
1. Season 5: this is season is **chef's kiss** I love the shadow collective arc with Maul and Mandalore, and then the Ahsoka arc is as amazing as the previous one. Onderon was pretty good, I think the Younglings were ok (it's unnecessary though) and the Droid arc.. I just don't really care about it.

Just finished clone wars, and here is my ranking.
7-season 1, its not bad, but mostly forgettable. I do like the episode rookies though.
6-season 2, again, not bad, but just above average. The best arcs are the mandalore plot and the zillo beast one.
5-season 3, the cadets arc is great, and both the nightsisters and citadel ones are very strong. I personally am not a huge fan of the Mortis arc, but still a very solid season.
4-season 4, it starts with a not to amazing water war arc, but makes up for it with the amazing umbara and undercover obi wan storylines. The reason this season is 4th is that it's a little inconsistent.
3-season 5, Don't get me wrong, the mandalore and ahsoka getting framed arcs are incredible, but the nomad droids and younglings ones were not great in my opinion.
2-season 6, this season has two incredible arcs in the conspiracy and yoda stories. A very strong one in clovis, and one eh jar jar one. Overall, season 6 is amazing.
1-season 7, this season is broken into 3 arcs. The bad batch one is very good, even if its a little predictable. The sisters one is not bad in my opinion, but its just average. The seige of mandalore arc makes up for it. It is the single greatest star wars the clone wars story ever. It might even be the best star wars story in my opinion.
So, to sum up, I think the seasons literally get more and more better as they go along.

Honestly, I loved the mon calamari arc. It’s up there as one of my favourite arcs.
1. Season 4 (A perfect mix of storytelling and action. The Umbara Arc is still my favorite arc.)
2. Season 3 (The first half is pretty slow and very politics heavy while the second half contains some of the best arcs and episodes.)
3. Season 5 (Contained fantastic arcs and some mediocre arcs. At its best, it did what season 4 did very well again. A very Ahsoka heavy season as well.)

I think this might be exactly how I'd rank it. Season 5 is a bit overrated tbh. The last two arcs are some of the very best in the series and the first is alright as well, but the D-Squad arc is completely boring and forgettable and the younglings arc had a few moments but was mostly just meh.

I’d say season 3,4, 5 (and 6 if it were a full season and kept up the quality as the first 14 episodes) are the best seasons, with 4 being my personal favorite. Season 4 was just peak, the animation really started looking stunning, the storylines were exciting and different, the Umbara arc, Asajj’s bounty hunting antics, Maul’s return ,,,,, just pea Clone Wars
Here is my ranking.
7. Season 1: A good enough start to the show, even if it was pretty rough with a really inconsistent tone made with at the time bland characters, hammy dialogue and a confusing watch order. Rookies was a great episode though and helped set the stage for the development of the clones while the arc on Ryloth was a really good war-based arc and gave a bit more development to Ashoka Tano.
6. Season 2: Similar to Season 1, but better in almost every way. The Second Battle of Geonosis was incredible to watch and one of the first really great action scenes in the show, that felt reminiscent of movies like Saving Private Ryan.
5. Season 3: This is where the show really started to get great, but it had some arcs that dragged and were not at all interesting. The second half though with the Nightsisters, Mortis, and the Citidel arcs being fantastic standouts. The Nightsisters Arc was one of the first truly amazing arcs in the show, beginning with Count Dooku betraying Assaj Ventress and going back to her home in Dathomir where she trains and recruits Savage Opress to be Dooku's new apprentice. The Mortis Arc is definitely in my top 10 favourite arcs, being one of the first to explore another aspect of the Star Wars universe and go deeper into the lore of the Chosen One and why Anakin was that person. The Citadel Arc is an underrated one in my opinion, being a great survival arc where a group fo Jedi have to find and hopefully rescue a Jedi Master who is held captive in the Citadel.
4. Season 7
The final arc of the Seige of Mandalore and Order 66 is some of the best Star Wars content ever and is by far the best arc in the whole show, but those first two arcs were either just good or not that good. The Bad Batch arc was enjoyable, even though nothing amazing, while the Martez Sisters arc was a real drag and didn't work.
3. Season 6
I mostly disagree with you on this one. I thought it was great overall, with the Clone Conspiracy arc and Yoda's arc being some of the best in the show, and making this season a lot better even with the Clovis arc being really good, but not great and the Jar Jar Binks arc being really redunant and ridiculous. It might be shorter than the previous seasons, but I think there was a lot more good than there was bad.
The Clone Conspiracy Arc was our first real look into the background of Order 66 and these inhibitor chips that made the clones follow that order. Fives' trying to uncover this mystery only to be met with deaf ears by almost everyone and dying as a result was so tragic. Yoda's Journey to becoming a Force Ghost was another amazing exploration of another aspect of this universe, and how Jedi after dying can become guiding forces for the living and a great end to the season.
2. Season 5
This was my number 1 for sometime until I thought more about the season you are about to see on that spot, and why I think it is slightly better. The one arc that drags it down a bit is the middle arc where the droids go on this adventure, and it just felt like a giant outlier to an otherwise fanastic season. That being said, the rest of the season was fantastic with the first two arcs on Onderon and with the younglings being pretty underrated and a great exploration of Ashoka and some other parts of Star Wars lore and the final two arcs with Darth Maul taking over Mandalore and Ashoka being framed for murder, going on the run and eventually leaving the Jedi Order being some more of the best Star Wars content ever.
1. Season 4
As you probably guessed, this season ended up being at the top for me. Mostly because I feel it is the most consistent season quality wise, with no really bad arcs. The first six episodes were a bit of a slog, even though I did enjoy the Mon Calimari arc. The next episodes after that were probably the only really mediocre parts of the season, before it explodes into greatness with the Umbara Arc, which is also one of my favourites in the show, being in my top 3. It had everything we wanted in a big all out war, with so much brutality, trauma and even betrayal by Pong Krell who was an incredible villain, showing another corrupt side to the Jedi. The action and drama felt inspired by Vietnam War movies like Apocalypse Now, Platoon and Full Metal Jacket, and was probably the darkest the show got to up to that point until the next season and the seasons after that. The arcs after that were also really great with the Slavers and Obi-Wan going undercover being big surprises.
The season ends with Darth Maul's return, which was a great moment of fan service, and the final episode where Obi-Wan teams up with Ventress who becomes one of the show's best characters after we see so much of her family get wiped out by General Grievous and the Seperatists.

7.Season 1: I don't think this season is awful but they were still trying to find out how to make these episodes so some episodes are great like the Ryloth stuff, Rookies, and Lair of Grievous but then we also get some pretty bad stuff.
6.Season 6: I think the biggest problem with this season is that we get 2 really good arcs, one that's alright, and the one really stupid one. This is kinda interchangeable with Season 2 but I just prefer that one right now.
5.Season 2: I think that for the most part this season is great. The Mandalore episodes, Second Battle of Geonosis, Holocron Heist, Lightsaber Lost. But it still suffers from some weird kiddy dialogue like Season 1.
4.Season 7: The Siege of Mandalore is Without a doubt the best arc in the entire show but the Bad Batch arc was just good, and the Sisters arc was so painfully awful.
3.Season 3: This is actually the only season where I don't dislike an episode. All the stuff with Ventress/Savage is amazing, Mortis is great, The Citadel is awesome, Wookie Hunt has some great Ahsoka Development, and we get to continue with the Mandalore story from season 2. No real complaints I just like the other seasons better.
2.Season 4: I think the season starts off kinda slow with the Water War and Droid stuff but after that it's amazing. Umbarra is phenomenal, The Obi-Wan Undercover arc is tons of fun, and The Ahsoka vs Death Watch is really cool and actually sets up the final arc in Season 7 and Maul's return is just flawless.
1.Season 5: The Ahsoka arc and the Maul Mandalore arc are both sooo good that it makes this season #1. Even though those arcs are the main talking point I still think the Younglings, and Onderaan arcs are pretty good too.

My list, this is based off how many episodes I loved/liked compared to the total episodes
#7. Season 1: I really liked the introduction of Cad Bane, The Malevolence Arc, The Ryloth arc and Lair of Grievous is a good episode, but that’s pretty much it
#6. Season 3: the Kamino/Domino squad arc, the Mortis Arc, and the Citadel arcs were all great, and The Mandalore arc was good, however the Dathomir arcs and the Padawan arcs were just ok in my opinion
#5. Season 2: I love the Holocron heist arc, Boba Fett Arc, Zillo Beast episodes, and the Second Battle of Geonosis arc is one of my favorite arcs in the entire series. The Death Watch Arc was also very good, and the solo episodes were surprisingly decent
#4. Season 7: Yes, the Siege of Mandalore Arc/Order 66 Arc is the best arc in the entire series, I know. But it’s still not my favorite (fight me). However, the Sisters arc was really terrible, and while the Bad Batch arc was fun, exciting and had great twists with Echo, I would have rather had a more emotional arc or one that is a good sendoff for a popular character. Personally, if they switched the Bad Batch Arc with the unreleased Boba Fett vs Cad Bane episodes, I would have ranked this higher.
#3. Season 6: the Fives arc is genuinely amazing and I love it, The Clovis arc is a great redemption of a not so beloved character, and the Yoda arc is really great as well. The Lost Ones is my favorite solo episode in all of Clone Wars, and my only complaint is the stupid 2 episodes with Jar Jar.
#2. Season 5: The Onderon arc is honestly great and it’s one of my favorite arcs, but the stars of the show. THE DEATH WATCH ARC AND TEMPLE BOMBING ARC. These two are the best arcs in my opinion, along with an arc from the #1 season on this list. The bombing arc is emotional and heart wrenching, and the twist with Barriss was honestly amazing. And the Mandalore arc was perfect and is my second favorite arc in all of Clone Wars. It’s just amazing and it was a great sendoff for Pre Vizsla, Duchess Satine, and Savage Oppress. The padawan and the first 3 episodes of the droids arc is what holds it back. The last episode of the droid arc with Gregor was great though!
#1. Season 4: do I need to explain? The Umbara arc is my favorite arc of all of clone wars, the Box arc was a great and fun undercover adventure, the return of Maul was great, Massacre is a great episode that makes you feel for Ventress, A Friend in Need is a really good episode with Ahsoka and Lux, The Slavers arc is great, and there’s only really one episode that is not that good, and even then it’s still decent. It’s just the best season

I've watched the show a few times completely through and here is my ranking
(Rankings 1-4 are very close, but these are my opinions)
7. Season 1
This season was the beginning of clone wars and you can tell. There are a few stand out episodes like the Bane one and rookies.
6. Season 2
This is where clone wars starts to gain its footing. I like most of the arcs, but none really stand out to me as the best, although Mandalore might come to mind.
5. Season 6
I love the fives arc, and it sets up season 7, but the other arcs didn't do anything for me, and I found the Yoda one pretty boring, and the clovis one being the same.
4. Season 7
The bad batch arc for me is pretty good, the tracer arc is bad, but the seige of Mandalore arc is perfection for me, and the best arc in the series.
3. Season 3
I never really cared for the mortis arc, but it is good. This season is really carried by the arc troopers arc and the Citadel for me.
2. Season 5
The Mandalore and the ahsoka arc are incredible, but it's not number one for me because of the Gregor arc

My personal favorite season is Season 4! Obviously because of the Umbara arc and I really love how the Slaves of the Republic arc follows, and the Obi-Wan Undercover arc and the Ventress Bounty Hunter and Darth Maul Returns arcs but unlike you I really loved the Water War arc but only for a very specific reason! Two words.... KIT FISTO!! He’s just my personal favorite Star Wars character of all time, always has been!
Another thing I love about season 4 is almost the whole season is consistent with only 2 "bad" droid episodes. Most other seasons can't say the same.

7) Season 1: Most of it is pretty meh, but it also has the Ryloth arc, Rookies, and Trespass (which is the most underrated episode in the series)
6) Season 3: The first half had some of the worst episodes in the show (like the one where R2 and C-3PO have to buy fruit for a birthday cake), but the second half was so good that it saved this season.
5) Season 2: It is a lot more solid than Season 1, with the Geonosis and Mandalore arcs being notable standouts.
4) It had a little too many episodes about younglings and droids, but the Maul and Ahsoka arcs are incredible and iconic
3) Season 7: I really liked Bad Batch, and I didn't like the Trace and Rafa arc, but what truly matters in this season is the Siege of Mandalore. Those are some of the best episodes on television, and are probably better than any Star Wars film.
2) Season 6: It had the two Jar Jar episodes, but every other one was great.
1) Season 4: Once you get the first few episodes out of the way, it is literal perfection. Every arc from Umbara onward is an absolute banger.

Season 5 in my option is only loved because of the Ashoka and maul ark. I love those arms but the rest of the episodes are just fine
Season 3 has a lot of filler bad episodes like the assassin episode. The only highlights were the mortis, citadel, and nightsisters ark. Season one has something that season 5 lacks and that is clones. Season 5 completely ignores the clones besides maybe the Ashoka ark. Season one sets up the clones and other characters so that they can be good and later seasons. But season 5 doesn’t build on that.
Also btw my list changes a lot besides the top two. Like one day season 5 will be 3 on my list.

Crusader Cats season 5 is definitely overrated but I think it is more of an acquired taste I liked Hondo and grievous and didn’t mind the Onderon arc
The only bad thing about 5 to me is the droid arc. Onderon is fine, and I love the Padawan arc. Younglings finding their crystals is a great concept for an episode, and I love Hondo! Ahsoka arc is perfect, and The Lawless is still my favorite episode of the show.

As a longtime Star Wars fan who watched every single episode from every season I think it all depends on one’s own preferences to see which season is better than which. For me personally I would say season 4 is the best one of all and I know it might be surprising to many. But at least for me if I were to rank each seasons episodes based on a star rating, season 4 would have the most star ratings, and that’s because in my opinion it’s the season that has the less boring and non sense making episodes considering the show is called the clone wars which is supposed to be mainly of the clones fighting in masses against enemies also in masses. Don’t get me wrong tho because out of each season there is at least 1 episode that would get a Full star rating. The siege of mándalore for example is one episode which would have a perfect star, except season 7’s episodes as a whole in star ratings added up wouldn’t be as high as season 4’s total star ratings.

The last 4 episodes of this season are my favorite episodes in the show. I thought they were gonna make ahsoka a knight but instead she left because of the council and anakin has lost the only jedi he can still trust.)
