  • Hot dang, it's been a long time since I've been so impressed with a model kit!
    And this is just Motor Nuclear's first actual kit to my knowledge!
    Smaller than their diecast options, but also a significant amount cheaper, but retaining just as much attention to detail.
    Extra bits, lots of poseability, diecast parts throughout, solid construction, well thought out coloring and parts separation... this kit really scratches some major itches for me (quite literally too, as it's sharp enough and pokey enough you could use him as a scratching tool).
    Do yourselves a favor and hunt one down if you like this style of mech. You won't be disappointed!

    Man that is a fantastic figure, I am very tempted with that.

      It really was a top notch build. I'm not quick to recommend everything I've shown on this channel, but yeah, this kit was a joy to build and pose on the table.

      Absolute satisfaction to be had there- cool kit to be built and enjoyment of the envy of your friends!
      Looks like their third model kit should be reaching retail distribution too, so there's another to keep an eye out for!

    Did you ever try the ball joint style fittings for the dragon? I jumped on them first and found them to be much more fragile. Lmk your thoughts!
    Loved this kit and build

    • @ObscuritiesinMiniature
      @ObscuritiesinMiniature  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not yet! I got distracted with Motor Nuclear's Cao Ren, but just looking at the construction of those joints I was hesitant. Sometimes simple is actually better, especially when it comes to joint sturdiness.
      I may still mess with them in the future, but I've got a pile of models arrive from China recently, and the allure of the new is always a greater draw!

    Nice kit and glad you're happy with it. Compare the price of this to what Games Workshop charge for their plastic.

      It's still cheaper than some of the centerpiece figures, which is pretty wild!

    Good review. Wanted to ask, how does the dragon compare against the figure rise ryuki one, in terms of material, articulation, and looks and space used? I am looking mostly for the dragons, and these two kits, seem to be good options for that. Oh, one more question, will you try to get the black armor and dragon premium bandai "ryuki" one, I was going to try to get that one, but I don't think it is an easy one to get.

    • @ObscuritiesinMiniature
      @ObscuritiesinMiniature  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Motor Nuclear one is the winner, hands down. Much better in every regard. Ryuki's needs to be able to double as equipment for the rider, so it's a lot more simple part design.

      I got mine from ShowZ, as they usually have the best prices, and are quite thorough in their packaging for shipping.
      They still have them in stock as far as I can see, along with the Cao Ren that just came out.

      The finish- the parts on the other one have that pearly, shiny finish to them. And I think an extra weapon or something, but I'm not 100% on that. I know the Bai Qi, the yellow one, has new parts included with the shiny finish version.

    Do you know what is different about this "agent" version? I know the "elite" version is metallic, but I've also seen the normal box art, so this agent versión confuses me

    • @ObscuritiesinMiniature
      @ObscuritiesinMiniature  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nope- I just got their newest kit (which I haven't made much progress on yet), and was pondering the exact same thing. I'm guessing it's just the mass market basic retail one?

    • @huynghiepdu
      @huynghiepdu 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ObscuritiesinMiniaturethe non-agent ver is the chinese ver. It also comes with a manhua(chinese comic) issue. While the agent is consider international ver with no comic. The comic only comes with this one as it's their first mnp kit to be released

    Im still deciding whether aobing and caoren what do you think is the best? Aobing have dragon meanwhile caoren can transform

    • @ObscuritiesinMiniature
      @ObscuritiesinMiniature  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If the price isn't an issue, I'd probably end up leaning towards Ao Bing just due to the dragon.
      Although as I'm finishing up the BaiQi, I'm pretty tempted to give the lead to that kit as the internal frame is an upgrade on the previous Motor Nuclear kits. I'm not much of a fan of transformation kits either, so I might be a little biased.
      On top of that, there's the new Wei Yuan kit they previewed if you like more grunt type mecha...

    can the dragons body used to become a backpack and made it like 4 arms?

    • @ObscuritiesinMiniature
      @ObscuritiesinMiniature  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It can definitely attach parts of the dragon as a backpack. I'm not sure if you can make extra arms with it- I'd check but he's posed on my cabinets at work and I'm at home on vacation!

    How tall is it?

    • @ObscuritiesinMiniature
      @ObscuritiesinMiniature  ปีที่แล้ว

      Off the top of my head, I'd say at least typical Bandai MG size, perhaps a bit taller.
      A good size to say the least, plus the diecast content!
