That transformation is wild. Bottom view is cursed, that bird's laying an egg! Not a huge fan of the design personally but there are some cool aspects bandai should take note of. I like the parts that cover attachment points when they're not in use, instead of just leaving exposed holes on the armor.

Thank you! And yeah, definitely a new transformation experience for sure. And this "Star General" shows up in the first chapter of the Chinese manhua, surprisingly it looks pretty accurate with the limbs and everything!

The Legend of Star General series looks to be it's own IP that was picked up by Motor Nuclear (kinda like how Sunrise [now Bandai Namco Filmworks] was a separate studio that made the Gundam franchise). So here's to hoping MN branches out to another series for model kits! The quality is there, diversifying the designs would be good

Man, these are looking better and better. Pre-ordered mine already and can't wait to have a look. Those clear parts are really awesome. Whilst you can paint and customize almost all the plastic parts, the clear ones are always a bit tricky, especially if they are colored. So, nice to see them improving these parts and making them look more interesting.
It's been a year, but did you try swapping the back of the head with aobing? The one on ao bing looks like it shoud've been on the cao ren and vice versa.
*Tries really hard to not make a Cock (rooster) joke after seeing the bird head being attached to the crotch and fails. * 🤣

Honestly both kits feel the same to me when I move them around, joints are stiff to move. Idk maybe it's on my copies

I think this is more like Transformers-inspired rather than Gundam-inspired kind of kits.
It is more like a normal size Ryuoumaru inspired mech. Check out Mashin Hero Wataru

I got mine a few weeks ago and its perfect for me since i really like robot with wings. If you get baiqi(another of the same Gundam) u need to watch out for the spikes all over it
Are the armors interchangable with the ao bing ? I watched other videos, saying that chao ren’s metal frame is better than the ao bing. But overall nice kit, and nice video as always
