**CORRECTION** The Fold 4 has an IPX8 rating for water resistance ONLY, not an IP68 rating (which would include dust resistance). MrMobile regrets the error.

This is my first foldable and it's been an amazing experience. The few apps and games that don't work correctly haven't changed my mind one bit, when I say this is an otherworldly experience I mean it. Seriously, I had never been this excited to unbox a new phone.
i switched from a 13 pro to this and im still getting used to it, but i am bloody loving it. Been such a great change. If there is a massive update in the next fold, ill be staying with Samsung. Even their pre order bonus here in Australia is amazing, got the galaxy watch 5. Apple never does anything like this! The only thing i would want better, is better selfie cameras on the front and big screen. Still have a lot to get used to, so i can get the most out of it, but been the best change.
The Fold 4 is fantastic. I like the double thickness when folded as I have something to grip. A thicker case for my Note 9 I used previously was a must, as that thing slipped easily from my hand. But when opened, the thinness of what has become a tablet is premium. I got the Fold 4 starter pack for free on a discount, thinking how I loved the S Pen on my Note 9. But, I tend to leave the kickstand on nowadays. The Fold 4 replaced my tablet and laptop for watching TH-cam and Netflix, and I can't get enough of the convenience of watching content on such a large screen, hands-free, then simply folding the kickstand, fold the screen and popping it into my pocket. Doesn't matter if I'm at home, on break at work, or travelling, I have the same experience wherever I go and I love it. What I also came to love is mobile games. I was a casual gamer with no dedicated console or PC for this purpose so I played on my phone every so often, but playing games unfolded is simply spectacular. I never realised how much I was missing with a standard smartphone screen. The Fold also has enough power to enjoy games on highest settings without breaking a sweat. In terms of productivity, being able to work on a few things at once anywhere, while watching TH-cam, is great already, but then being able to just fold it into your pocket is where it's at.
Brand new fold user here. Got mine this morning. Here are some of my first thoughts. It's pricey but Samsung gives you a lot of freebies, makes the purchase experience more exciting. I got the earbuds pro, pen, fast charger and case. 2. Its heavy but it's not as bad as it sounds half the time. Usable. 3. The slim form factor makes it easy to hold the phone. But then the front screen is a little narrow. I wish we could have both. 4. This foldable idea is not a gimmick. It is super useful to have easy access to a big screen. It's super useful for a phone to be It's own stand. 5. The inside screen is not as fragile as I imagined. 6. Battery's shit. I think we are in the early stages of a really big thing here.
@@olusijidavid the battery will be shit for about 2 weeks. new samsung phones take 2 weeks to learn your usage patterns before its baattery is fully optimized
I have noticed a big difference between the new Fold 4 and my last year's Fold 3. The Fold 4 seems to be smoother and has a little faster reaction time. I had trouble with the SPen not wanting to work on certain spots on the large screen to bring up the on screen keyboard when typing a message or document. Samsung also fixed the problem on the front screen where the navigation buttons and a website's buttons were on top of each our in some apps. That was my real frustration with using the smaller screen. I hope that in the future Folds, the SPen will also work with the smaller outer screen since I came from having many Note phones. Once a stylus user, I always want to pick up a stylus.
I just picked up a Z Fold 4, I've had iPhones for the last 6 or so years. So far, I really like this phone and I do think that this will be the one to make me jump back to Android. There is still a lot I need to learn about it, but so far, it's an amazing phone.
Michael Fisher I truly love your content the only Tech reviewer I never get the urge to fast forward If I had to pick only one Tech channel to watch it would be Mr. Mobile hands down
Honest opinion! Iv bought mine 3-4 weeks back, love it. Case/screen protector, skins, all that jazz but give me a few months and it'll just be that friend that's over stayed their welcome.
Still rocking my ZFlip 3. After 13 months it's been honestly a pleasure. I love having a stand no matter where I am, I usually fold it just a bit then put it in landscape and like a card, it holds itself up so I can watch content. The cameras are ok but not for those who love photography. As for the durability, I haven't had any issues and I haven't babied it so I guess it's a little luck on my part.
At last! Thanks to your long term reviews I was eagerly wanting a Fold. Last year I tried the Flip but returned immediately because the horrendous battery life. This year and thanks to Samsung's amazing trade in deals, finally got my first Fold an there's no turning back. I concur with all the positives you mentioned and definitely it changed the way I use my devices. I even have Galaxy Tab S7 plus that gets less and less use everyday. I'm into the Fold and there's no turning back, now I found every other phone boring, thnaks for your top notch work!
Have a fold 4 myself. And anyone who says the outer display being too narrow has never used it. It is soo convenient for one handed use. Perfect for quick tasks. If you wanna stretch out, you always have the inner screen. Great review as always! Bought this phone because of your into the fold series.
I love my fold 4 but the amount of errors I have typing on the outer screen is insane. Maybe it's user error but even maxed out the keyboard feels too small
Happy to hear you're enjoying it! I feel the same way about the cover screen; if I only have one hand available it's the perfect size - and if I have two hands available, I open the phone.
It's narrow. Either for precise tasks, like typing (though this depends on the size of your fingers) and for certain apps that can't handle narrower aspect ratios than 21:9. It has it's advantage of course as it makes the Fold into a tiny one handed phone, but it still could be wider. Even with a better hinge design where the hinge mechanism is more tucked behind the screen.
As a college student, I haven't had the chance to buy a foldable phone, as much as i want to. But watching MrMobile's videos, I feel my own enthusiasm showcased through his. Great video as always, keep it up!
I got the Z Fold 3 the month it came out so right around 1½ years of daily use. And I've loved it. The well-known advantages are absolutely true. I love having a Kindle-sized reader in my pocket. Editing photos on a bigger screen makes it easier, and handing it to a friend to show the photo is a treat. Webpages, spreadsheets, games: all benefit from the increased real estate. The problem is, it isn't aging well. The screen protector started bubbling up a year in; minor at first, getting worse with time. And in this corner of Appalachia, the nearest repair facility is a couple hours'drive away. The hinge is showing its age also. It doesn't open/shut as crisply, not lie as flat as it used to. No grit, just age. Also, as a Note guy from way back, I miss having a Bluetooth stylus in a silo on the phone. I do use those little stylus tricks, my favorite being the ability to trip the shutter without touching the phone -.great for tricky zoom shots where any vibration would ruin the pic. Trading in on a S23 Ultra,. somewhat regretfully. But there's a lot of screen there, too. Maybe the Fold 4 solves some of these problems. Time will tell. No stylus-in-silo; I could maybe accept that, if all my other concerns are resolved.
Good video. One thing I want to comment on is the lack of Good Lock mention in any review from anyone (not just you). One Hand Operation has provided a swipe gesture now for some time to do split screen and it works MUCH better than Samsung's awkward two finger gesture in 12L. Just food for thought that One Hand Operation is an amazing tool that I think a lot of "enthusiasts' should get into.
Got my first Fold after following the Fold series since the beginning!! Definitely never going back to a regular phone!! Biggest gripes are Instagram stories (they're dramatically cropped and recently they freeze if I try to skip to the next story, only on the inner display) and TH-cam's glitchy picture-in-picture mode!! Still easily the best phone money can buy!!! Stats and specs can't replicate true innovation, and that's why the Fold continues it's reign as the king of smartphones and the pinnacle of cutting-edge technology in 2022!!
First all lets get this out of the way first MrMobile is the GOAT when it comes to phone reviews. having been a fold 3 owner I couldn't wait to get it, fantastic phone no question, but it made me realise what I wanted from a phone and what was important to me, I also found that I spent most of my time using the outer screen, but the turning point for me when I realised its not for me was on a trip to London and I needed a fire and forget camera which I found the fold 3 lacking, so swapped to the s22 ultra and now to the 6 pro (for some reason it just works for me) . for anybody who thinks about a foldable think about your use case, Z folds are exceptional phones but only if you use the large screen which is a strange thing to say but I didn't use these large screen and wide screen video content aint the best on them.
Love how you seem to get it with foldables while other reviewers are still himming and hawing, My next fone will definitely be a foldable, thanks as always.
Literally just got my fold 4 today due to black Friday sales and oh my DAYS I love it, this added space really does make a difference, I had to go back and forth between my pixel 6 pro and this to set it up and I honestly don't think I can go back
Makes me regret sending my Fold 4 back and getting caught up in all the iPhone 14 Pro Max hype! However, I do love my Apple Ultra Watch though. I am not impressed with the iPhone 14 PM. One of the best reviewers on TH-cam by far! Thanks, MrMobile!
I love your reviews youre one of the best tech youtubers in the world it feels like a fashion show and espicially on phone reviews keep up the good work
Nice review! Coming from S22U and got my Fold 4 for 3 weeks, so far I'm happy with the battery life but perhaps it's because I'm not using the phone much during work time. Last week I watched TH-cam to learn how to cook chicken breast, with Google Keep opened to jot down the key points, and Chrome on the same screen to search for local chicken breast and ingredients seller, and it was just so powerfully convenient!
Your reviews are honest, to the point, yet Exciting to watch. You make the negatives look good, the positives look great! Thank you! I've been a Samsung user since, Note to Fold 3, and upgrading to Fold 4 1TB!
Had a fold 4 for around a year second hand, and only recently traded in and used the reorder deals to get a fold 6, mostly for the longer software and security updates and not worrying about warranty as I have a receipt now. I want to use my phones properly for at least half a decade, which I couldn't do safely with my wonderful note 9
This is my first Foldable. Love it. Idk if I'm just used to carrying a lot in my pockets but I don't notice the phone in my pocket, even with an OtterBox on. I'm on my phone all day (99% inner screen) and my battery easily makes it all day. Good bit of gaming, especially emulation. Lots of reading. Tons of video. I can always make it all day
I thought the crease and the black bars in videos would bother me but now that I have the fold i can careless about those issues, this is by far the best phone I've ever had and I'll never go back to a non foldable phone.
I will always wait until a Mr Mobile video to come to a conclusion on a phone, mostly because of the stellar reviews but also because you bring to bear an astounding amount of alliteration. Great review as always, Michael
I've been a fan of Samsung's foldables since the release of Fold 1. I'm still going for Flip series even if obviously has smaller battery yes, but being so portable means i don't have to put a case in the first place.
Happy to see your review is finally out. I was waiting for it patiently ^^ I've been using the Fold 4 for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it, and very much agree with your review. I don't use the split screen feature as much as I'd like yet (I'm still not completely used to it), but for many other tasks the main screen has been absolutely fantastic and a considerable upgrade from ordinary phones. It's especially obvious when reading articles or browsing the apps for websites that are less optimized for mobile screens (or when the mobile version of the site is inferior). It is, however, as you said, very heavy, and every so often my hands get tired, even when holding it with two hands. When I pick up my old Pixel 5 after that (which is really light even for its size) I'm always quite surprised. Additionally, some apps really don't use the foldable screen very well yet. A lot of that is of course on app developers, and we can only wait for them to improve their apps while Foldables get more and more popular. Occasionally, the software on the Fold 4 also caused inconsistencies themselves confuse and slightly annoy me. E.g., Telegram, which normally has a split screen on the inner screen, sometimes shows the single panel phone UI. (I actually prefer that for Telegram at least, since typing messages feels a bit easier that way - for other apps, I like the split mode, that's why I don't want to disable the system setting.) It's also a bit frustrating that the multitasking app bar doesn't work if you use a 3rd-party launcher like Niagara Launcher. To my knowledge, there's no reason for that, since stock Android 12L supports it just fine. Thus, this must've been a deliberate decision by Samsung. Btw, I haven't figured out yet how to use the cover screen if the phone is slightly folded open, like you do at 2:05. Is there maybe a setting that I'm missing? Lastly, my Fold 4 also sometimes makes that weird sound when I open it. It sounds like the screen protector is coming off any moment, but visually everything looks and feels fine. Generally, compared to my friend's Fold 3, the hinge mechanism feels like a slight downgrade honestly. The missing gears (from what I've heard) mean the opening and folding is way less smooth and inconsistent. Otherwise, the better specs, better camera, and slightly bigger cover screen are of course much preferable. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and giving such an informative and interesting review!
My favorite tech reviewer went to my old hometown of Binghamton NY… that would have made my day if I was in town and ran into Michael Fisher and Jaime Rivera. Phones not for me, but I applaud the video and your work. Also wish you would continue the search for the next Pebble watch type. Still haven’t been as happy as I have with that watch for it’s time.
I really appreciate this video and how thorough you discuss the pros and cons. I'm still waiting on Samsung to make a folding phone that fully folds with no gap like other companies have clearly demonstrated they can do.
yes, I hear that little ‘crackling’ sound sometimes, but if I ooen it in stages, the craclking sound goes away, but I guess you should be able to just open and close the screen quite quickly, id rather open it slowly in stages, closing it doesnt seem to make the sound as much. The screen is indeed super fine and is the best phone I’ve used in a loooong time.
I've been waiting for this one! As someone who got this as my very first foldable, I like it a lot, but there are definitely compromises. Some apps don't take well to split-screen, with Discord in particular not working right unless you restart the app. Typing is also harder, at least for me. But, the cameras are very good, it charges fast enough that the battery drain is livable, and when the split screen works, it REALLY works. It's definitely frustrating sometimes when things don't just work, but it works well enough that I think I would have a hard time going back to a traditional phone. That said, we are still firmly in early adopter territory, in my opinion. It's not worth it for most people until the kinks are worked out.
I've been eagerly awaiting this review. To say I love my Fold 4 would be an understatement. I have never used a phone so much and I can't even begin to explain all the different things I use now that I never did before (like downloading full seasons of shows with abandon and even light gaming which I never bothered with at any point). I no longer stop what I'm doing when I need to do something else...I just split that screen and carry on. This thing is a game changer and I don't think I can ever go back.
Yup, it's shocking how much I use my Fold 4 compared to my older Note 10. Before I got my Fold 4 I would consistently grab my laptop whenever I needed to do anything more than checking notifications, reply on Telegram, read the news etc. With the Fold 4 I rarely touch my laptop anymore since it's just so easy to actually be productive. I also started on Breaking Bad again on Netflix on my Fold since the screen is so awesome. It's a productivity and entertainment monster, and I love it.
This. My impression of one week with the fold4 is "this is what smartphones should be". From gaming, to using flex mode to take videos for work, to great for phones stereo speakers, everything is just that next level. Coming from the note 9 was like jumping a decade ahead in everything but battery. It's a worthy negative that a device is used too much.
As someone that only gave the Surface Duo a try because of your review, got bitten by the "I can carry a tablet that can fit in my pocket" bug big time and now type this from a Fold4, I'm always glad to hear your thoughts on the category! Let's hope the Oppo N 2 rumored EU/US release as well as the long prophecised Pixel Fold come to pass to give Samsung some incentive to go beyond incremental updates. (Tho coming from a SD, the software polish blew me away).
Micheal, time and again your video intros simply get better. The presence of the BGM makes it more delightful than always. Please keep bringing up such amazing videos as always.
I know Samsung has a head start and can get away with downsides, but I wish reviewers were as accepting to LG phones. LG V60 beats this folding phone in many many ways. It's not directly apples to apples comparison, but I really wish LG got same recognition and acceptance besides its downsides like Samsung gets. V60 is probably my favorite phone so far and is so much more versatile in its own way with very limited compromises compared to fold. How I wish they were still around and we would have been seeing LG rollables by now. Love and respect to LG.
My 1 month old ZFold 4 did the same crunching sound when unfolding as yours does. Samsung said they were unaware of he issue (which I find hard to believe) but were nice enough to replace it under the manufacturer's warranty.
@@x.everything7575 I brought it in to an authorized Samsung repair center. At first Samsung told them hey needed to attempt a repair, which would have taken the motherboard, front screen, and back glass and move them to a new Fold 4 shell, but they couldn't get all the parts in, so they did a complete swap to a new phone. So far the new phone has been fine, although with I'm concerned the newly designed hinge could be to blame for the problem I had, and others are reporting.
My personal opinion as a fold 4 user . It's not that heavy , it's thick AF when folded , that gap Between the two half when folded is way to big , the more i use the phone the more i can see and feel that line in the middle of the inside display it's actually bothering me sometimes, the outside display is way to Narrow , the under display camera is actually not that bad and i don't even see it sometimes. I think its time to update the Design and also it has some bugs but not big Enough that will bother you. Honest was thinking of getting a 14 pro max only thing keeping me around is that big inside display What i want for the fold 5 : A Design almost similar to the mi mix fold 2 with the Stay in place hinge , Water and dust resistant , Better battery life , flagship level camera im paying 2000 dollars for a phone samsung give me the best of all best, and make the unboxing experience worth it , my fold 4 box literally Unglued it self
you can enable the fullscreen mode for all apps in the system settings. for example for tik tok, it looks soooo good ! way much better than standart mode. i had no apps that make problems.
Switch from my 2 year old mint condition Fold 2 to the Fold 4 and nicked the metal along the side the same day. Turns out it is painted and the paint chips right off. That would be my single complaint with this phone. Other than that, I don't regret the upgrade.
That’s why Apple should do a real split-screen multitasking on bigger 6.7” iPhones with support for Apple Pencil on the Pro Max version to give a good reason to buy a bigger heavier phone.
Great review as always. I've now had the last 3 generations of galaxy fold. The 4 is finally what I'd consider perfect. The front screen is now wide enough to type comfortably. The cameras are excellent and my biggest flaw of the 3 (battery life) has been addressed with the new more efficient chip. Exact same use case I have an extra 20% battery remaining at the end of the day. I also used to get little stutters every once in a while that the 8+ gen 1 has eliminated. After 3 successive generations I may finally skip the next one as the 4 does it all.
I went from fold 2 to 3 and now to the 4. Not sure what is is but this one 'feels' amazing to hold compared to the last 2. Where i hesitated to completely daily drive the fold 3 (i also had a pixel 6 pro at the time), i feel much more confident to daily drive this one. P. S: apparently, the crease is still pretty deep because, according to Samsung, it helps with the water resistancy. Which i will happly take over no water water protection with minimal crease.
You forgot to mention that the front display is slightly wider, due to the new hinge design. This is the main reason (with the secondary being the more energy-efficient processor) why I went for Fold 4, instead of Fold 3. I must say that I never use Flex mode, since I've bought the official Samsung case, which has a kickstand, allowing for the unfolded phone to be prompted up like a tablet - works like a charm.
Samsung can't have a tear drop hinge anymore than other companies can have a rotating watch bezel. Samsung owns the bezel patent, Chinese markets other than the Samsung have patented the tear drop hinge. The only thing stopping me from buying a far more advanced and refined Chinese unit is the software, so I'm stuck on my fold 2 unwilling to buy a new fold until these fundamental issues with the crease and folding flat are addressed. I'm starting to see the crease as a design flaw/factory damage.
@@mrkring1526 The permeant crease, the gap between the folded screen, a cheese-wedge shaped device when closed, and an outer display with too tall and thin, and ultimately ending up with a device that's a tablet that can fold in half, rather than a phone that can unfold into a tablet. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 is where Samsung's form factor should be at this point, but instead it's barely changed since the first fold, just minor spec bumps. They're sticking with the cheese wedge hinge instead of delivering a no compromises full featured flagship S22 Ultra-style phone that then opens to reveal a tablet.
When it comes to the Fold and Flip phones. I'm torn between the Motorola Razr and the Samsung Fold. Right now I am rocking the Motorola g Power 2022 I had to go with it due to budgetary constraints but I like it it works for me. Plus I am stuck with Cricket due to the aforementioned budget constraints. When looking for a new phone I look at the onboard storage, processor and RAM. The camera really is not a deal breaker for so long as it works. I love your show and I really love your When phones were fun video. Because it shows how old I'm getting when it comes to tech of yesteryear and how far we have come today.
Myself, I'm just gonna have to wait longer to see how newer foldable advancements hold up over a longer time. It took years for me to warm up to the idea of OLED as a viable display tech for non-phone applications because it's taken that long for alleged improvements in the technology to finally prove that OLED is up to the challenge and that burn-in (while still a problem with the technology) is more easily avoided.
Was wating for your review on fold 4 before going for it. You are the only one youtuber who's been long time user of samsung fold. So believe your every word 💞
Good review! I have my Fold 4 for two weeks now and am loving it, too. I do not mind the 25 Watts charging. That is actually better for the battery. Since this is a phone I am planning to keep for more than two years, this is important. Using Outlook on the Fold is so great! Finally, you can see the mail you are answering on the left screen and do not have to scroll down all the time. Have been using it a lot for lesser complex email processing. But even those that require research are a delight to work on with this phone. You can have a website open, a PDF or anything and still write your mail on the right side.
Been waiting on your review for this. Glad to finally see it. I picked up a Fold4 and love it. It's my first foldable phone and I never thought I'd use a lot of the multitasking features. But since I've had it in hand, the larger inner display has come in handy so many times already. Seeing the photos I took on the left with my viewfinder on the right is awesome. The camera itself is great. I'm coming from an S21 Ultra and all I really miss from the rear cameras is the 10x optical zoom. I even took it to a few concerts already and it did better than I expected in low light (though not amazing). I rarely use the side by side apps, but when I do, I love it. Not having to switch between apps constantly for reference while working on an email or something is awesome. Honestly, as someone who didn't own any previous Fold phones I don't mind the iterative nature of the changes here. Battery, cameras, and durability are all finally to a point where I felt like it was worth dropping the $1800 on one (minus some deals and great trade in from Samsung) and I don't regret it one bit.
I'm finding my fold 4 more than adequate to take care of my daily needs. Whether it is reading from the Kobo app on my morning commute, or opening up spreadsheets or pdfs on the go, the experience is a joy on a large screen. Also enjoy the slim profile of the phone for quick one hand use on the front screen. Actually like the slimness of the device - fits nicely in my pockets and the bulk is hardly noticeable. My needs are not so demanding and I am usually ending my day with at least 50% battery. Definitely will be sticking with foldables - the tech can only get better.
I actually like the aspect ratio of the 3 more Not being able to shoot 4k@60fps with the ultrawide camera after 4 generations is just embarrassing There was no reason not to include S22U's selfie cam
**CORRECTION** The Fold 4 has an IPX8 rating for water resistance ONLY, not an IP68 rating (which would include dust resistance). MrMobile regrets the error.

Did you get the 3 or 4?
@@Riverpeth I got the Fold 4
@@olusijidavid the battery will be shit for about 2 weeks. new samsung phones take 2 weeks to learn your usage patterns before its baattery is fully optimized
Meh. They don't take 2 weeks at all. A few days top.
And your 6th point just kills any credit the phone could have. Samsung sucks
Noticed something similar with my fold4. is just a more refined experience.
Mobile hands down
You sir, are in a class of your own. Keep up the great reviews.
I had to trade out bc of the battery. Loving my note until I can upgrade to a fold.
Flip is an expensive Flop
I do the same "folded card" trick with my fold 2 lol I love it
@@FederalBureau_OfInvestigations It's awesome right!
I've had the Fold 4 for a couple weeks now. It's awesome. Love it. And I had no idea about the split screen, thanks for that
It's true that you feel like you can't go back! Every time I use a friend's phone I try to make it bigger lol
Flip is an overpriced Flop
@@DENVEROUTDOORMAN for Poor Bomer
@@devinderevage6304 i have errors too but single handed use is awesome especially since you dont want to drop this beast.
@@devinderevage6304 try GBoard, switched and luv it
It's narrow.
Best review on TH-cam! Not just a commercial but a true review...and done well. Thanks.
Coming from the Note 20 Ultra, I couldn't be happier with my Z Fold4. It's been awesome!
😎👍🏼
I think it's safe to say you might be one of the best tech reviewers on TH-cam
This is the review to look at if you are seriously considering this phone, Mr Mobile embraces the fold phones!
Only the Mr Mobile videos can I go through, watch, and then watch over and over again. It always feels like I am learning something new
Writing this from my Fold4, I wholeheartedly agree with your review, especially the battery life. I wish it had the endurance of some small tablets.
I love your reviews youre one of the best tech youtubers in the world it feels like a fashion show and espicially on phone reviews keep up the good work
You're one of my favorite tech reviewers. Your reviews are so high quality.
Grabbed a fold 4 today from Google Fi after 1000 off discount ❤ looking forward to it
I just love the fact that you can Slightly close it and still do what you have to
Your reviews are honest, to the point, yet Exciting to watch.
Shout out to mr. Mobile for keeping it real all these years!
I will always wait until a Mr Mobile video to come to a conclusion on a phone, mostly because of the stellar reviews but also because you bring to bear an astounding amount of alliteration. Great review as always, Michael
My OG fav reviewer. Cheers Michael!
please be my google assistant voice michael. Awesome story telling and production quality as always. Thanks!!
I have volunteered at LUMA for many years. It is a great festival for the area and I am happy you could come.
Great video. This feels like a genuine review rather than just a 20 minute advert. Subbed!
Feels good to watch this on the Fold3 I got after waiting desperately for your review to drop last year!
I've been a fan of Samsung's foldables since the release of Fold 1. I'm still going for Flip series even if obviously has smaller battery yes, but being so portable means i don't have to put a case in the first place.
Happy to see your review is finally out. I was waiting for it patiently ^^
I've been using the Fold 4 for a few weeks now, and I absolutely love it, and very much agree with your review.
The fold 4 does support faster charging, but you obviously have to buy a separate power brick. I got one with the insane preorder bonuses
Cool town! Good late-night calzones.
I really appreciate this video and how thorough you discuss the pros and cons. I'm still waiting on Samsung to make a folding phone that fully folds with no gap like other companies have clearly demonstrated they can do.
Keep waiting bum
@@loganry1376 🤣
yes, I hear that little ‘crackling’ sound sometimes, but if I ooen it in stages, the craclking sound goes away, but I guess you should be able to just open and close the screen quite quickly, id rather open it slowly in stages, closing it doesnt seem to make the sound as much. The screen is indeed super fine and is the best phone I’ve used in a loooong time.
I think all of us has the same noise , so will ignore it lol
Personally I cant stand folding phones. But its always interesting to listen to Mr Mobile do a review.
Does S Pen work with outside screen on this one?
@@KOTYAR1 Nope, just the main screen.
Weird- never had an issue with Discord on my Fold.
@@imgmatt same. Works great!!! Especially in landscape mode

Took the words right outta my mouth.
Watching this on my Fold 3 - Apart from the camera upgrade I am happy with what I have - maybe the 5/6 will tempt me
Best fold 4 day in the life (40 days) review! Mr Fisher you are a review God.
You can literaly get s23 ultra and 11 inch way powerful bigger tablet for litteraly same price
Oh Mr. Mobile, your reviews are delightful!! Thank you!!
Lol You're fake. Mr. Mobile has warned us about you.😂😂
My 1 month old ZFold 4 did the same crunching sound when unfolding as yours does. Samsung said they were unaware of he issue (which I find hard to believe) but were nice enough to replace it under the manufacturer's warranty.
Did you replace the inner screen ? Did the noisey sound dissappear ? Even my fold 4 has the same sound but im ignoring it 🤣
@@x.everything7575 I brought it in to an authorized Samsung repair center.
The wider screen of the Fold 4 makes it my favorite one handed phone!
Honest was thinking of getting a 14 pro max only thing keeping me around is that big inside display
What i want for the fold 5 :
A Design almost similar to the mi mix fold 2 with the Stay in place hinge , Water and dust resistant , Better battery life , flagship level camera im paying 2000 dollars for a phone samsung give me the best of all best, and make the unboxing experience worth it , my fold 4 box literally Unglued it self

The only review of this phone I care about every year! 👏🤝
You the man, been following you for a minute( your entire TH-cam career😁)
That fall though, got me on the edge of my seat 😱😱😱
Yes!! I'm glad it's not just my fold 4 that's so noisy when it opens, I was concerned as my fold 3 and even 2 were no where near that noisy.
Dont worry , you are not alone lol , me too lol
you can enable the fullscreen mode for all apps in the system settings. for example for tik tok, it looks soooo good ! way much better than standart mode. i had no apps that make problems.
Went from the note 9 to the Fold 4. Love it so far. Plus, got a 1000$ trade in deal to lessen that cost.
Switch from my 2 year old mint condition Fold 2 to the Fold 4 and nicked the metal along the side the same day.
Turns out it is painted and the paint chips right off.
That would be my single complaint with this phone. Other than that, I don't regret the upgrade.
What a spectacular review. You're amazing Mr mobile!
I've been waiting for this review for the past month but I have to say kudos man worth the wait
Owning the fold 2 flip 3 ,and now fold 4 love these
I'm really impressed by the audio quality of these videos
That’s why Apple should do a real split-screen multitasking on bigger 6.7” iPhones with support for Apple Pencil on the Pro Max version to give a good reason to buy a bigger heavier phone.
You know its going to be a good weekend when there’s a new Mr.Mobile video
Great review as always. I've now had the last 3 generations of galaxy fold. The 4 is finally what I'd consider perfect. The front screen is now wide enough to type comfortably. The cameras are excellent and my biggest flaw of the 3 (battery life) has been addressed with the new more efficient chip. Exact same use case I have an extra 20% battery remaining at the end of the day. I also used to get little stutters every once in a while that the 8+ gen 1 has eliminated. After 3 successive generations I may finally skip the next one as the 4 does it all.
imagine though if the fold 4 comes with an integrated stylus that also works on the outer display :-)
This just popped up in my notifications, been looking forward to this one! Going to watch it later when I can properly enjoy it.
What issues you talking about?
How does he use the cover screen @ 0:35?
NGL I almost cried when he said "stay tuned" to the mix fold 2. That is probably the best foldable hardware out
2:14 The goodlock module multistar can allow you to force apps to open in fullscreen when opening.
That's good to know.
@@TheMrMobile Forgot to mention, but fantastic review as always!
You review new things with an 80s tv show style format. I like. Keep it up.
Myself, I'm just gonna have to wait longer to see how newer foldable advancements hold up over a longer time. It took years for me to warm up to the idea of OLED as a viable display tech for non-phone applications because it's taken that long for alleged improvements in the technology to finally prove that OLED is up to the challenge and that burn-in (while still a problem with the technology) is more easily avoided.
the review I've been waiting for.
Watching on the Fold 4. Happy to follow along with this series for so long to finally join the club
What about the noise when you unfold it ? Is it normal ?
The Moto X’s on your book case 🥹 the nostalgia!
My first foldable, i love it's big screen.
I actually like the aspect ratio of the 3 more
Not being able to shoot 4k@60fps with the ultrawide camera after 4 generations is just embarrassing
There was no reason not to include S22U's selfie cam
