I live in Oklahoma City and there is also the Kirkpatrick Planetarium within the Science Museum, Firefighters Museum, Remington Racetrack, Oklahoma City Zoo, Sam Noble Museum in Norman as well as the University of Oklahoma and the Sooners, The Womb, a psychedelic arts center, American Banjo Museum, 99s Museum of Women Pilots, Riversport Adventures and Rapids in the Boathouse district downtown OKC, as well as Toby Keith's I Love This Bar and Grill in Bricktown. OKC has LOTS of stuff to see and do, this is just a sampling and doesn't include the myriad of attractions from surrounding towns.

This was a great video! Many people see Oklahoma as a fly over state but we actually have a lot to offer. We have some hidden gems! I am proud to be an Okie! Thanks for such a great video showcasing some of our iconic spots!
I was ready to criticize your picks. But this was a great list. Some other great place to visit would be 45th Infantry Division Museum and train museum, the science museum is more kids oriented but actually very impressive. Cafe Cacao is a Latin cuisine brunch place in central okc that is amazing and was featured on the travel channel. Guthrie has cool shops and historical homes.
The 45th Infantry Museum is a great place and there really is a lot to look at and learn. The train museum is one of our unknowns but is really great too. I always try to tell people about it. Guthrie is one of my favorite places in the state. Tons of historic buildings and history.
I grew up in Oklahoma and remember every weekend we'd drive to lake hefner to ridw our bikes and watch the sunset. My whole childhood was based around that lake and it makes me emotional thinking about it now. Definitely recommend

Yet another top-notch vlog from an expert videographer and narrator. Thanks very much for sharing your visit to Oklahoma City and nearby areas!
Dee Powerz it’s currently remodeling an exhibit at a time, all the new ones are better then NY zoo. Still only 2 are redone. It might become the best after it’s completed.
You missed out on highlighting some of the best local districts for food and entertainment like The Plaza, Paseo/23rd Street, Automobile Alley, Film Row and Midtown. Most of the best food and drink options are tucked away in those districts that surround downtown. Other than that, I think most OKC residents would agree with a lot of this list. The attractions may not seem that amazing compared to Disneyland, but what you get here is REAL history, particularly of the American West. There are other amazing things to see, but even if you only hit the high points outlined in this video, you'll have a great time.
I am a fellow Oklahoman and if you want to do some fun things with your family you could take your family to Frontier City, White Water Bay, HeyDay, Andy's Alligators and so much more. I live down the street from cattleman's and never been 😭 heard the lamb fries was bomb lol thank you for exploring okc hope you come back because now we have a Ferris wheel right off side of the highway and a ginormous trampoline along with ziplining! 😘
I'm from Moore and work downtown pretty nice representation. Those Lake Hefner trails are eventually going to connect through all of okc to each of the municipal lakes. by bicycle you can travel from Hefner to Overholser and to the downtown area along the river.
As a person that lives close to OKC. I highly recommend you to try Cattlemen’s Cafe. It’s like the best steakhouse that you’ve ever been to. My favorite steak to get is T-bone steak. To be fair, the lamb fries are the best appetizer to ever get there.
Los Taco's, Sherry's diner, Jimmy's Round up, is some good restaurants that were not mentioned in the video so if you haven't tried these places then I highly recommend them.
The "milk bottle building" as you called it is NOT on Route 66. It's on N Classen Blvd 400ft North northwest of NW 23rd St. and it's actually called Milk Bottle Grocery. And then there's the historic Gold Dome which is on the southeastern corner of the NW 23rd & N Classen Blvd intersection. Also right in that same area is an Amazing sandwich shop called Some Place Else
I can't believe you didn't mention the Oklahoma history center. It's way cheaper than some of the places on your list, it overlooks the capital building and it's really well done.
The Omni Plex is very cool and right next to the Zoo, which is also very cool. As previously stated the 45th infantry Museum is very interesting if you are interested in WW2 artifacts and houses the most Nazi artifacts outside of Germany. I can remember when the downtown area around the river walk was nothing but skid row bums and derelict buildings back in the 80's MAN how things have changed!! Toby Keiths is a must-visit restaurant in OKC. Cattlemans is overpriced and not the best steak house, just sayin. I have yet to go to the new Memorial in the downtown area, I was there in the late 90's after the bombing but there was not a museum at that time. The Cowboy Hall of Fame or whatever it's called these days is very cool!! Thanks for the upload!!
@@AudryConsol Do you really think so? I mean if someone googles Omni Plex in OKC I would think it would steer them in the right direction. unless the name has been changed recently. Not being argumentive just saying.
@@AudryConsol The name change from Omniplex to Science Museum Oklahoma took place in the fall of 2007. I was working there part time on weekends during the change.

There is a new park at the Scissortail Bridge area in OKC. Lots of other things as MattieB says below. I love the Cattlemen's and have eaten there for over 50 years. My wife and I had Prime Rib there on our 50th anniversary. El Reno is the home of the onion burger, BTW. Nice video and I am watching all your route 66 vids too
Haven't found one comment about it but the Oklahoma City Thunder is one hell of a team that just bursts out good vibes from the people who live there and will also continue to be my favorite NBA team.
I lived In Oklahoma my whole life and for any new terrorists who go to Oklahoma, i recommend a small diner called White Dog Hill on route 66. It's out of the city and more of a drive located in Clinton but it is the best steak I ever had in my life and the view you get from the diner is absolutely amazing.
Okay so I live in Oklahoma and you MUST go to the zoo!!!!! It’s got so many amazing exhibits. They recently added a new restaurant near the elephants and its sooooo goooood! Also the science museum is absolutely amazing!!!!! It’s got all kinds of cool thing like a mirror maze and a Segway course and a bunch of other cool things! 💕💕

You posted this the day before I left Oklahoma City and went back home on the coast.
the OKC zoo and Trapper's fish camp would make excellent additions to this list! I really like OKC
Los Taco's, Sherry's diner, Jimmy's Round up, is some good restaurants that were not mentioned in the video so if you haven't tried these places then I highly recommend them.
Cattlemen's steak house is totally delicious!! He did some decent stops.
I loved all the picks. Tuckers was my go to while I was pregnant haha i was excited to see it made the cut but I think irmas is a close one
@@sierra5025 yes i agree. And your baby had good taste to make you crave tuckers lol.
I live in Oklahoma and I love it it's so fun I've been everywhere he has
I love my home!!!!!! Sadly the basketball is now trash but seeing it on such a great channel makes me happy!
I know, I am still sad about pg13 and Russell. True, we could be the jazz
I can't believe you didn't mention the Oklahoma history center. It's way cheaper than some of the places on your list, it overlooks the capital building and it's really well done.
the water taxi doesn't really take you anywhere; it's not transportation. it's more of a tourist thing for sightseeing.
Shawn it’s a waste of money*
It's a tourist trap
Thanks for visiting our great city!
Using the "Omni Plex" name will just confuse non Oklahoma City area natives
@@AudryConsol Do you really think so? I mean if someone googles Omni Plex in OKC I would think it would steer them in the right direction. unless the name has been changed recently. Not being argumentive just saying.
@@jackallen6261 I was changed to Science Museum of Oklahoma a few years ago however some of the old highway signs are still up as Omni Plex
@@AudryConsol oh okay. I didn't know that.
@@AudryConsol The name change from Omniplex to Science Museum Oklahoma took place in the fall of 2007. I was working there part time on weekends during the change.
I live in OKC and i think its great you showcased our city. I have lived here awhile and had never heard of Ednas or the pigeon museum. Guess you learn something new every day!!!
Not listed, the amazing Olympic white water training facility at the boathouse district
I live in OKC and we went to the Cowboy Museum for a school trip and it was awesome!
The Oklahoma City zoo is a good place to visit.
Oklahoma science museum and the OKC zoo are awesome destination in OKC.
Ahh you should’ve stop at the Science Museum of Oklahoma
There is a new park at the Scissortail Bridge area in OKC. Lots of other things as MattieB says below. I love the Cattlemen's and have eaten there for over 50 years. My wife and I had Prime Rib there on our 50th anniversary. El Reno is the home of the onion burger, BTW. Nice video and I am watching all your route 66 vids too
Mad beer chugging skills !!
Home sweet home, cant wait to get back
Haven't found one comment about it but the Oklahoma City Thunder is one hell of a team that just bursts out good vibes from the people who live there and will also continue to be my favorite NBA team.
How the hell was this oversight made
Wow you made my home oklahoma city look so cool!!!!! If ever come back ill show you 20 more cool places!!!!
I live in Edmond Oklahoma and didn't know half these, definitely need to do some of these, but why is the Banjo museum not on here?
I lived In Oklahoma my whole life and for any new terrorists who go to Oklahoma, i recommend a small diner called White Dog Hill on route 66. It's out of the city and more of a drive located in Clinton but it is the best steak I ever had in my life and the view you get from the diner is absolutely amazing.
Dont forget the 1200 mmj shops &counting
Okay so I live in Oklahoma and you MUST go to the zoo!!!!! It’s got so many amazing exhibits. They recently added a new restaurant near the elephants and its sooooo goooood! Also the science museum is absolutely amazing!!!!! It’s got all kinds of cool thing like a mirror maze and a Segway course and a bunch of other cool things! 💕💕
