I think I cried 4 times watching this interview! I love seeing the openness, vulnerability and the analogy of living in color..?! Incredible. 😍 this is so so special and so well done 💓💫🌟

Excellent interview! Very eye opening. I have to say that the blue camouflage shirt was the real star though. Now we know where you get your sense of fashion...

The significance of this video and all that it encompasses reaches far beyond the specific dynamic of a neuro-divergent parent and his child. It touches on some much more universal undercurrent of what it is to be human....
Can't quite gather and order all of my thoughts, but please know that I appreciate you both very much for sharing this.

I can totally relate to your dad - didn't recognize my life-long high-functioning autism till my traumatic-head-injury 'brain-plasticity' event at 53yo ! The real tragedy is that my spouse tells me that I don't care for her or my kids which is the opposite of the truth and really hurts to hear.

It sounds like 53 was a year that brought a lot of changes! I’m sorry that your family doesn’t understand, that must be hard.

I figured out with the tests that I am autistic as a mother, wife, daughter. So much makes more sense to me. I too have so many awarenesses from Kindergarten on. I was smart, but socially I didn't have the ability to join in.

Oh interesting!! How old were you when you learned this about yourself?

@SamaraBuildsABetterLife my granddaughter is very intelligent but has so many traits of autism. She was 16 or 17 at the time. Then everyone pointed out I was just like her
      LOL.
