You should do A LOT more controller reviews, also since you are the only one who actually talks about gyro and back buttons etc. and it's compatability with steam-input (and then you can add to talk about rewasd as well.
Good review. Unfortunately the triggers are not hair trigger instant. There is a (small) travel distance before activating even with the instant mode turned on. It's probably fine for most people but I've been spoiled after setting the triggers on the 8BitDo Pro 2 / Vader 4 to the lightest touch/travel time. It's too bad because there are a lot of great things about this controller. Edit: You can quickly and easily map the extra shoulder buttons to the trigger though
I'm still looking for a good gamepad with gyro that has good paddle buttons. I like using flickstick, but only with a mode shift button. This lets me still use the right analog stick for looking around as normal, but when I hold down a mode shift button, it becomes flickstick as needed. Right now I use the left analog trigger as the mode shift button, but it's unideal. A paddle button would be perfect as a mode shift button, and this gamepad has the potential to be the best choice, but the inadequate gyro is a deal breaker for me. If they just fix the gyro and the other issues, and maybe add one more pair of paddle buttons, then it would be perfect.
If you use a DualSense or DualShock4, there is a recent mod discovered that lets you extend the touchpad, basically creating 2 or more buttons, it's great!

you make a good point. but having uniqeu inputs on the back buttons only works when either steam or rewasd can detect the controller as its own device. Because xinput or dinput donw have gyro you are limited to either a switch or ps4 mode. So you would have no back buttons. If microsoft where to support gyro then you couldalso have mappable back buttons. The only controllers that have 4 unique mappable buttons only work on rewasd. These are all flydigi controllers. rewasd seems to use the fly mouse technology of flydigi to use on the remap functions.. But the build quiality is not that great and the gyro is not as good as the dualsense. I have the dualsense edge. and until a while ago i could totally remap all the function buttons and the two back buttons to uniqeu inputs. it even worked on the beta update channel. But now it seesm to be broken again. and i can not remap the back buttons and funtion buttons anymore. For steam i am using the big big won blitz controller. wich also has 4 buttons. 2 on the back and two between the bumpers. To remap the controller i just map one of the buttons to left stick press. then on steam i use the action layer with gyro off on left stick press in steam. Then i can just press one of the extra buttons to pauze the gyro. For the back buttons i program the face button actions (on my razer wolverine v2 i do the same with 4 back buttons. ) then i remove the weapon wheel from the left bumper and use that to modeshift the face buttons to the weaons. (if the game supports mixed input or i use keyboard and mouse on the pad. ). this way i can do all the action that i normally do on the face buttons with the back buttons. and weapon select when i modeshift with the bumper. This is a little convuluted, and aworkaround. but it works. on my razer and the blitz controller i can now use the extra button for ratcheting and i can use flick stick when i need it. I find that now i get used to ratcheting i keep unlearning my flick stick. it is hard for me to be able to use both. i can only get good at one or the other it seems. maybe i need to take more time to get used to both. I still dont know wich method i like best. Ratcheting is easier for fast turns, but walkig around corners more smoothly is harder for me. with the stick i can easaly sweep thhe outer edge and i can round corners smoothly. with flick stick i have trouble in seperating the flick from my gyro aiming. with flick stick i need to devide turning the body of the player charachter and actuallly aiming beween both of my hands and my right thumb. With ratcheting (with a joycon )i can do both the direction facing and the aiming with the same hand (just llike a mouse).

I would love to, but I live in Brazil and this controller was never distributed here. So the only way to get my hands on one is if I import one (which is extremely expensive) or if someone donated one to me, which would still be kinda expensive because I would need to pay taxes when the controller arrives. So... :'(

No, it isn't. Unfortunately, it has the problems mentioned in the video, so I kept using my DualSense. Until now, there is no third party gyro controller that I think is worth more than the first party ones.

Yes, DualSense edge is the best gyro controller with backpaddles. There is a mod that you can do with conductive tape to add backpaddles to the DualSense, it's cheaper, but it's uglier and less tactile.

Yes, you can use this on Fortnite, but only on the switch version. On PC, gyro only works with Playstation controllers. Yes, you can use the native gyro feature on Fortnite (Nintendo Switch only), without using the emulated gyro feature. And no, you can't bind the extra buttons. Like I've said in the video, these buttons only replicate buttons that are already on the controller. So you can bind the extra buttons to the A button, but not the extra button to the jump action.
Hi I just recently found your channel while searching guides for my new controller. Gulikit kk3. I am now enjoying flickstick + gyro. It renewed my love for FPS games. I have a question. When I press button and the right trigger my pointer shakes jusr like you what you show in the video. Is it a lot better on PS5 controller?
Gyro is very sensitive and precise, that's why this happens, so the solution is to train to press the triggers more softly or to change the shooting button to a more stable button, most commonly players swap the triggers with the bumpers. I just posted a video explaining how to hold the controller so you might want to check that out for further information. Hope this helps!

Discovering gyro brought back the youth in me like the first time I played counter strike beta 6 in the 90s. It's awesome to be young again haha.
The vader 3 pro is only good on rewasd. on steam you are limited to the swithc mode of the controller. so you have a lower pollling rate and digtal triggers only. and you can not map the 4 back buttons and the extra c and z buttons. the gyro is also not as good as the dualsense (or alot of other switch controllers). it seems to be a 3 axis gyro instead of 6 axis.The stick caps also seem to degrade faster then alot of other gamepads. and the hall sensor joysticks also seem not to be that great. Up until a a day ago i always used my dualsense edge. on the default config you can remap every extra buton on steam. but yesterday i noticed that the buttons do show up, and i can remapp them. But the remap does not seem to work anymore. either my controller has a new update wich i forgot about. or all of the steam beta updates have broken the gamepad again. I also used normal press and long press activators on the back buttons to get 3 or 4 different input out of the two back buttons. Right now only the normal dualsen buttons and gyro and trackpad seem to work. All the extra's do not anymore. So if that is fixed i would reccomend that controller over most others. And my hope is that in the future the Razer wolverine v2 will also be fully remapable on steam.

Any first party gyro controller would work (for example: DualShock4, DualSense, Switch Pro Controller and etc). But none of them would be suitable for IOS because smartphones already have gyro built-in, so the game would use the built-in gyro, not the controller's gyro.

No problem, man. There are no switch controllers with extra buttons that can be binded to in-game actions. Extra buttons only duplicate buttons that are already on the controller. But if you are playing on a switch, just buy the Switch Pro Controller, it's one of the best controllers ever made. You can't go wrong.

Switch Pro Controller is the best option for Switch. The best gyro controller overall is the DualSense. It has the best gyro sensor and the most amount of features, but you really can't go wrong with any first party controller.
another low effort gamepad from china inability to remap the buttons to anything useful on pc and crap gyro no ds4 support for gyro and analog buttons together (or mapping back buttons to trackpad directions) they didn't even hit the bare minimum requirements for a decent PC controller
Shame about the gyro and the fact that the back buttons don't work with Steam Input. Currently the only controller that fullfils both of these criteira is the Dualsense Edge, which is horrendously expensive here in Brazil 🫠

How is this compared with Flydigi Vader 3 Pro?
