This is probably my deepest dive into a device I’ve done to date. And it’s still in need of improvement in my opinion. The SCUF Envision is the first time a controller from SCUF has had more than just an interesting feature or 2. I think it’s very good for the purpose it’s designed, but am aware the market for such a PC centric device is quite small. I plan to cover this device more in the future alongside others to see how it truly stacks up at less than $200, which is insane for SCUF. If you guys went on to enjoy this video, please be sure to drop it a like and sub if you’re new. I had a ton of fun putting this together, and have a lot more projects on the way. I hope to see you in the next one!

Been following your content for years, and this one does not disappoint! I'm really stoked you had a tear down of this controller cuz I was going to be taking it apart to see what switches they use for the face buttons, this saved me that time. Thank you... Can't believe they actually used these omron switches.... thought they felt damn good.
Once again love the Chanel. Just wanted to say I got my hands on one in a store loved the feel but just couldn’t get myself to buy it till you came out with a video. Thank you for keeping us updated with honest reviews will be getting one.
Thanks man love your reviews seems you’re the only one I feel is honest
Great review, thank you for keeping your reviews honest.
Finally a vcuda upload, been waiting bro
Just got mine yesterday, I love it.
Great review. Been waiting for this one although I already decided to buy it. I also had the trigger jitter thing, but increasing deadzones solved that (I only use the clicky trigger setting). I like the sax and extra back buttons
How long did it take to mail to u
@@1037g8ming I live in Europe. The website told me within 5-7 business days and it arrived in 6 days. I didn’t have any option other than standard shipping
Been waiting for your review on this
love how straight up this dude is def gonna sub.
The undisputed best controller reviewer, sick video man. I think an interesting future video idea for this controller could be a comparison with the wolverine ultimate since you can still buy it, and it launched at a similar price and both having 6 extra buttons.
I'm 3 minutes into this video and you've already earned a sub. You've got me ROLLING
10/10 review! I always look forward to your content. I would love an fps controller tier list one day. THANK YOU
I have had one for about 2 months and its really good a really love everything about it its the perfect controller out rn imo. Having said that the only downside ive seen is that the iCue software sometimes glitches and the back buttons dont work and i have to restart my whole PC not just the software, and then also the rumbles i would have liked a way to manually remove them or something because i was used to the impact for a while which had no rumbles and it felt so much lighter apart from that amazing controller for the price would really recommend it! Great vid man i had been waiting for this review so much 😂 (you probably have seen all my comments in the community tab 😂😂😂)
Bought this controller a month or so ago and I have to say it’s now my favorite controller ever. Works incredibly well, feels amazing in my hands, and I love the SAX buttons. (Use them for different things like push to talk and sprint etc) iCUE gave me issues in the beginning but I uninstalled and reinstalled and haven’t had an issue since. I think I’ll be using this one for a long time!
How does it feel compared to the duel sense ?
@@xccelerant8695it’s a little bit smaller which I like. I have big hands so I slide them up a little and I can hit all 4 paddles with 4 fingers, which I prefer. Feels really good when holding and using for long periods of time
can you use it without the ICUE
@@freesmoke8847 yes but iCUE lets you do all the nice customization you can still set back paddles without the program but the program lets you use the paddles as individual buttons themselves among other things
@@freesmoke8847 yes you can, but you will need icue to optimize it
Great video dude ✌️
Your reviews are always great and I stick around for the humor
Been waiting for this one!
Best review I’ve ever seen. Subbed
I went with an Elite Series after hearing you, and others, say Scuf wasn't durable nor reliable. I'm enjoying my Elite a lot, but I'm glad to see that this Scuf is working well. I look forward to your 3 and 6 month updates.
I had to scuff and the both broke and I have two elite 2 and they still work 🤷🏽♂️
But I prefer scuff I feel like aim is smoother and and I prefer they paddles even tho they both broke one me lol
This rear button design is for you only using your middle fingers like you push down for the bottom ones and you push up for the top ones. That's how I use it and it's really easy to use that way.
And sax buttons I have used to replace my L3 and my R3 So I never click in my sticks anymore. I've never accidentally hit them. I hold my controller a little bit further down than you do so my knuckle is not over them like I saw in your clip. I hit them with the bottom meaty part of my pointer finger
insane amount of depth you went into. i cant imagine how good you would be if you reviewed other tech as well. Im subbing even though i dont care that much for controllers, your videos are great
Great Review on this Scuf Controller
Had to subscribe amazing 🎉🎉🎉 video review
Been playing Warzone for the past 2 years and never used any controller with pads but after purchasing this 4 weeks ago I can definitely say definitely a game changer
I have owned one of these since it came out, and it's my favorite controller. I replaced my custom Elite Series 2 with it. The only thing I miss is the tunable joysticks and the battery life. Everything else is better, IMO. Edit: I forgot about the bigger battery.
I get WAY better battery life running it in hardware mode (iCue not running) and always set ECO mode (RGB and vibration OFF).
great review man
I want you to review everything ever please. What a perfect and entertaining way to deliver information. Thanks for this!
I enjoyed this review, lol... Thanks for the great work!
FINALLYYYY! The review we were all waiting for and thank you mate for uploading this! As always you’re the best when reviewing controllers, I do have a question that is unrelated to the controller though I noticed you went back to nvidia from amd and I’d like to ask you why out of curiosity haha, fantastic video as always!
Let's gooooooo!!!! Been waiting WCuda
PeeCuda
Sometimes i come for the review, sometimes i come for the comedy. I never laugh so hard watching ur reviews!
Just came across your channel fire review and funny af.
I use my left sax button for sprint and it’s like butter, I don’t fully reach down to tap it, more so pushing it down with the middle of my finger how it lies on the controller. W video
I've been waiting for mine to come in for forever. Hopefully it finally gets here next week.
You are the only good reviewer when it comes to stuff like this. Your the only person who's given valid and helpful information about my controller. Before I watched this video all I knew about the controller was that it had a good Bluetooth connection. Great video man 👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
I like this guys style, great review.
Bro your reviews are the best.
Great Video - I have spent hors wondering what those plastics are.
I have had this controller for about a month, and it's been performing pretty well. I tried to overclock it and that basically bricked it for a couple hours until I found a solution online, so I wouldn't recommend trying that just to avoid the headaches. About once a week my sprint (L3) and jump (A and left paddle) stop working mid game, but it seems to be a software bug because all I have to do is unplug it and plug it back in to fix it, but it is annoying. I do wish they would've added hall effect joysticks since I'm sure stick drift will be a problem in the future, but for now they're good. Overall, the buttons, triggers, and joysticks feel great compared to a normal ps4 or ps5 controller. Great upgrade for those looking to do so.
im buying it now my plan was to overclock it so what do u think lol
@@11BCampbell11 Give it a shot if you really want to try it. If it bricks there are ways to fix it, but I couldn't get the overclock to stick with the controller working.
Okay, something actually worth spending some of my life watching, unlike the other 98.2% of YT that is dreck. Thanks for a very entertaining and very informative video. Someone that has snark and substance. Much appreciated. Subbed.
First of all love your video. This is the first one I watched and hit that subscribe button probably 3 mins in. Other than that I have the Envision Pro and coming from the Astro C40 I think it’s growing on me. Only problems I’ve seen is you do hit the damn sax buttons all the time and I wish I could swap to high tension thumb sticks. That was what I loved about the C-40.
As some who got theres last week i love the side button but i think i find it useful because i have big hands but over all i love it.
You make the bestest reviews on the internet, amazing once again.
Also after gaming with pro controllers for a while I recently concluded that gyro quality on PC is the most important for me, would be nice if those brands could stop ignoring that part, lol
why do you need gyros ?
Glad to see more videos
Im getting this for christmas! cant wait
Was waiting for this one
First off, vCuda, You hands down have the best controller reviews I've ever seen and I actually bought the scuff envision pro after my PS5 controller started experiencing stick drift. I just want to add that I never touch the sax buttons by accident and I think that they're in the perfect location. I don't have big hands by any means but I can definitely see the issue being a problem if you have small hands and you have to wrap around the controller to reach the triggers
Also, I'm loving the controller so far and I'm thinking about trying out some control freaks
Yo, is that the jacket from Back to the Future? That's dope.
@vCuda Great video! What dock do you have the controller sitting on in the video?
Honestly enjoyed the shit out of this review. I have one of them on order currently, looking forward to seeing how it holds up.
what is the response time on the instinct Pro thinking of switch over to the envision pro. what do you think ?
Have you checked out the flydigi vader 3 pro ? Ive heard good things about it being hall effect but also heard it still gets drift after a couple months of usage. Love the channel, thanks.
Using the same spectra infinity for 2.5 years now. No issues. 30 quid.
Whenever i had the Scuf Vantage or whatever with the sax buttons, i ended up using those primarily to go left and right in the inventory for Blackout on Black Ops 4.
Great review. Commenting for the algorithm
bruh .. youre soo good .. Thanks .
Great review.
Let me ask you something since you are a Controller Genius. I own the Turtle Beach Recon Cloud. The have Bluetooth to use it on tablets or phones. However, I want to use it via Bluetooth on PC, but, my PC doesn't recognize it. Any suggestions?
this controller is phenomenal, changed my game massively...
can you use it without that icue mate ?
I love mine, the only issue again is the software. Sometimes it crashes mid game and you’re stuck with an un functioning controller while in a gun fight. BUT it’s only happened 2 times in the last 4 weeks.
A simple restart of the software fixes everything.
Still though, that’s pretty annoying.
Thanks for the review! Always enjoy your raw humor 💪👊
Same problem, even in hardware mode. Have to alt tab out and back in to get paddles to work again.
@@ShadLambertYES! Is there any fix to this?
The alt tab out and then back in is the only band aid that works for me so far 😢
I've just watched a couple reviews by you before this one and you do some great work here! I appreciate how well you section your videos and the way you discuss every small component with your thoughts on each tiny part is refreshing. I've subscribed and look forward to more reviews.
I don't comment often, but I wanted to share this out of good will, hoping to see you and your channel grow! The comment at 8:25 "still pretty gay" just felt like an out of place comment from 2009 tbh lol. It isn't something I want you to feel bad about in any way, just wanted to share that a comment like that can be a red-flag for many people in gaming communities. Much love :)
Ive purchased one recently and had absolutely zero issues. I only played wireless and usually play 5-6 hours a day. A full battery will easily last me 3 days maybe more, i use back buttons but have the blanks in for Sax buttons. Been grinding cod for about 3 weeks now and love this controller to death.
You're using it on COD?! You're on PC right? Why the F would you use an inferior controller? I'm asking seriously. Why not use Mouse and keyboard?
@@epicmike3915 controller is where it’s at for cod. The aim assist is INSANE, so why not. Also using the back paddles puts my drop shot and slide cancel to levels I’ve never achieved on a keyboard. Don’t get me wrong every other shooter I love m+k. I was grinding ranked last year on mw2 and placed waaaay higher once I switched to a controller. Excited to play ranked this year since I have now upgraded from a stock Xbox controller to the scuf. Also just a thought, if keyboard and mouse was really the GOAT why is every cod pro player using controller.
@@epicmike3915mouse and keyboard for cod is boring
I can’t get my triggers to work and when they do work they are bugged out scoping in and out and shooting uncontrollably
Why no Sax buttons? I've ordered one of these for WZ3 with the intention of using the Sax button for ping and then not sure on the other one.
I have to restart my PC so many times for the Envision Pro to work.
Icue keeps saying there is a profile conflict + my mappings do not work.
My triggers will also stop working mid game sometimes.
Really sucks cuz l do like the feel of the controller, but I can rarely use it :(
Scroll wheel reset on fortnite is chefs kiss , especially when you bind it to a rear button
I love you dude. You're not the "Bad Boy" of tech reviews. You're just being your wild self and it shows. Your reviews are works of literal art and I see you. Keep going.
Thank you man!
Got my blacked out impact and it’s survived since 2017 somehow💀. But was thinking about picking this controller up
Just bought one. I found it at Best Buy on Accident. Its my first scuf controller, and i only play pc anyway. Joysticks feel way more accurate and smooth and i will eventually make the g buttons do something useful just haven't played with them yet...
I ordered my scuf envision pro the day it was released! I use the Right Side button to slide in COD, the only con for me is the fact that it's clocked at 500mhz whilst PS5 controllers (Dualsense edge, Scuf reflex FPS) which I've owned both have the capability to be OC'd to 8000Mhz, night and day difference in response time. Great review however.
do you suggest this or the hypr? i know can be different but similar
ordered one 2 days ago and can't wait. Best fking funny review every keep at it cuda
Can you give an update on your experience after 3 months? Do you recommend it? Thanks
@@tamerthebian7286 i loved everything, except the paddles and the software. The paddles are really bad for my grip, I prefer the ones like xbox elite etc. Software is dogshit. Amazing controller and if you like the paddles I would see why its the best, but for me the paddles were too awkward so I returned them
A fighting game player here and from what I've seen this controller would be really good for them (don't know anybody that has a clicky dpad controller so not sure how easy motion inputs are on them) but I will say not having any way for any adapter to get this thing on a PS5 is a major shot in the foot. Almost all local tournaments are played on those so you're limiting yourself to online events. Hopefully Brook adds compatibility for their Wingman FGC
At what point is the jump in input delay not worth it? I’ve been using an elite 2 for a long time and had no idea how bad the input delay was. But, I’ve never used anything better. I was considering the turtle beach since it’s twice as fast. But is 500hz a big upgrade from 250?
Youre a lifesaver with all the controller reviews casuse Ive had enough of the xbox elite series 2 need a new controller badly
What's better than the Scuf Envision Pro with the PS layout? That's really good and budget friendly? (Since the problems with this controllers seems to be pretty bad).
Touchpad and replaceable joystick modules would’ve sold me on this. So close to my perfect controller.
Earned a sub, you the GOAT. My biggest question about this pad was the clicky buttons on A,B,X,Y + DPad and you're the only channel that went into some depth. On most pads, mouse switches feel heavy and slow, so it makes the mouse switch concept completely redundant IMO. Glad these don't feel that way as per your review. The Wolverine V2/Chroma for example takes fucking 5 pounds of force to press a damn button. Literally only getting this Scuf pad for SF6, so I'm not too worried about the clunky software and all that. Thanks for this video!
Should I get this or the hyper ps5 controller with the anti stick drift sticks. I like the idea of mapping out keyboard keys can I do that with another softwere
Bought 2 of these controllers and one came with severe stick drift and the second one came with one of the back paddles cracking when I pressed it and had inconsistent presses out of the box. I love to feel look design everything else but the controller just feels too inconsistent rn. I'm guessing they're going to make a second one or get better with time but for now I'm going to return it and just wait. Hopefully the next one comes with hall effect thumbsticks!
I’m looking forward for a review on the new turtle beach controller looks like it’s gonna be a major competitor
Just ordered one after my reflex fps R2 button stopped working today after only 15 months. Hope this one last longer.
Great video. I am having an issue if i play wired my triggers are operating as bumpers & vica versa. I have looked in the software but it says triggers are where they meant to be so im forced to play wirelessly- still an amazing controller.
I wonder if mine is the same. I had some buttons and the sticks stop mid game I restarted and then the triggers don’t work. Not sure if I hit the bumpers or not.
Hey Cuda, which Kontrol Freeks fit this controller better?
I like that design the SCUF Envision Pro has. It looks similar to the PS4 controller, mainly because they have the same button and stick layout, which makes it super cool. :3
Btw, does it work on Android or IOS devices?
Lmao idk if it’s cuz I’m smacked but I think I laughed for entire first 1:03 seconds. Subbed 😂
Right mouse click trigger on mine broke in less than one month, put in a support request but it seems like they are mad busy as of lately.
That jacket is F'n Dope 🔥🔥🔥😱😱😱
Hello , im in doubt this controller and the edge, what do you recommend? Thank you
I’m loving the fro and the stasshh looks handsome
The symmetrical thumbsticks is definitely a nice touch, too, as all other Pro PC controllers are all Xbox style. After buying a PS5 and a Steam Deck, switching to an Xbox style controller hurts my brain. I'm too used to having that D-PAD to the Upper Left of my thumbstick. The only thing that I don't care for, for the price, is the lack of hall effect/replaceable thumbsticks. Anyways, I enjoyed the review. You earned a subscribe from me! 🙂
My man question.which kontrol freeks can fit.because my only fit with the normal thumps sticks.but when I change to the other thumps stick won’t fit..so which one will fit for the other thumps stick..
Do scuf controllers have the same size deadzones/input lag as elite series controllers?
This shit was so funny and informative. Keep it up homie.
great video
From the perspective of a PC game pad nerd: Does this controller have good gyro? And does it really have a PS layout, but no touch pad?? Because the touchpad has at least 4 distinct inputs, that you can always map the way you want.
I'm pretty sure the FlyDigi Vader 3 Pro is a cheaper (costs below 100 bucks, bigger issue currently is the ability to order one, cause it's non stop sold out everywhere), yet better pro controller for PC nerds, with the extremely good feeling hall effect joysticks, also switchable triggers to micro switch and also 6 extra buttons (4 back buttons, but instead of the weird sax buttons it just got 2 extra face buttons right below the standard 4 ones). And the FlyDigi controllers have extremely well support by the remapp program reWASD, that allows you to set every button of this controller to any input you want.
So vCuda, I highly recommend you try out and review the FlyDigi Vader 3 Pro (not the APEX 3, that one's shit, tbh). Maybe you'll like that controller, too. :)
He literally showed it in the video and said the buttons don't compare to the scuf Envision lol.
Should have tried a heat gun for the battery glue. Great review👍🏻
I was wanting to open my envision pro and change the a b x y button color and was wondering are they standard Xbox a b x y buttons that I can just throw in there?
Ive had one for about 3 weeks. I mostly play fortnite and love having the paddles bound to keyboard to free up controller buttons. I have sprint on cntl which is bout to the left side button which lts freed up to use as my edit bind
Whats about Response time on wired use? And overclocking aswell on wired
just customized one its coming in February;)))
Im in love with the controller but after maybe 2ish months my right trigger just went out on me clicky works still but if that's not active there isn't any push back and it can be activated just by moving the controller up and down any advice. just contacted support but dang ....
Favorite controller ever (and have tried a lot) already have to put dead zone at 13 though on COD after 2 months of use…
Might be a dumb question but how do you property turn it off and on? Only two ways I do this is changing the auto shutdown to 1 min but yet that still seems like it’s on or puts it in sleep mode. And the second way is by switching it from wireless to wired while using it wireless. Curious to know if you know how to turn it on and off the proper way since yah know we are gentlemen
Just press the on/off button on the controller lmao the circle button right above the profile button.
