    This really is a great video showing a clean and neat way to do the chain at the beginning and to add the rows as you hand crochet each row! I also really love the way you have joined the ends with thread. Just tying a knot in a yarn this thick makes it very easy for the knot to slip. I just repaired one for my daughter that someone else had made and it was in olaces where it had only been single knotted! Thanks a bunch for sharing! I already knew how to hand crochet the afghan but your tips were very helpful!

    I really, really enjoyed this video, have wanted to try this type of knitting, I think this is easier from older knitters who’s fingers and hand make it hard to use needles, I would think when combining two ends, it would b3 easier for older knitters to tie together instead of trying to work with the thread, either way, this is great, thank you.

    • @CraftwithBethany
      @CraftwithBethany  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Mine doesn’t so make sure you aren’t pulling the loops along the edges and corners tighter than the loops on the rows. That will definitely cause in to curl in. I’m glad you enjoyed the tutorial. Thank you!

    I’m going to order some yarn and try this. Your video is so easy to understand. I’m doing the sage and ivory first for my living room. If I can successfully make it I’m going to try one for a topper for my bed. By the way about how many loops is 60”? I don’t have a sewing table like yours.

      I would look up the standard size of a queen comforter to when you start your blanket keep measuring your first chain until it’s the width of a queen comforter then start adding rows measuring as you go until it’s the length of a queen comforter.

    • @CraftwithBethany
      @CraftwithBethany  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Size will vary greatly by how big for small you make your loops. And over time it will stretch out some. I recommend getting the width you want with your first chain and then keep adding length until you are happy with the size. This large blanket covers my queen been.

      It varies so much on how big you want the blanket and how big or small you make your loops. Keep measuring as you set your initial chain to set the width of the blanket and then go for as long as you desire.
