Christina, I have made two chunky blankets in the past two years, by watching your tutorials and they have turned out beautiful. I made them both by actually following along with the videos (pause and play, on and on). Even though they turned out great, I was always still a little confused about that last stitch (I don't knit or crochet). This video made it all click, and I now feel confident that I can do it all by myself. 😂 You're a wonderful teacher and I look forward to your videos every week. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world. Yours is, by far, hands down, my favorite channel. 💖

The "2-front, 2-back" way you showed gives prettier results than most other tutorials I've watched. I will attempt this one, even though I've never knitted anything in my life. If I'm going to buy yarn and invest a few hours of my weekend doing this, I want the final product to be as good looking as I can make it. Thank you for the inspiration and the clear instructions. Wish me luck!

I'm going to a friend's "surprise" birthday party this weekend and her husband said, "No gifts!" so, of COURSE, I'm making her a BEAUTIFUL blanket. I did it! I bought 14 skein of bernat blanket big yarn. I’ve had it in the back seal of my car for a month. I’m going to have to search your blanket tutorials to find the design I fell in love with. I’m thrilled that this video reinforced my choice of jumbo chenille.
BTW. I love the boys new haircuts. I have a friend who gave his big black standard boy a flat top ala grace jones. It was the coolest grooming I’ve ever seen on a poodle (the standard pulled it off best).

I’ve just started doing chunky knit blankets and after multiple multiple videos I found yours! Can I just say that I’m not only now liking the process but am also trying to figure out how to keep this blanket for myself!! In the first few minutes of your tutorial I tore my whole blanket apart and started over…not even knowing at the time that the pattern would also be different! Which btw thru seeing pictures while purchasing yarn I’ve wondered how to do different stitches. This also happens to be the pattern I had my eye on! So much to my surprise when starting the 3rd row I discovered this would turn into my favorite blanket! Now I’m just trying to figure out how to get your voice on tape to put me to sleep!?😂 Sorry if that sounds a tad creepy!! But has anyone ever told you that your voice is soothing? Anyway I just wanted to say TY for making this process 10 times easier that anyone else has thus far! Hoping there are more videos on your channel similar to this one. 🤞👌

Evening to you Christina, so nice to have you back on screen. The instruction and the advice or suggestions on the various yarns is so important. I agree for every day use as well as for heavy traffic, fourr legged traffic, I think Chenille is the better option. I have to smile, the dogs looking beautiful as always, yet with the hair cuts they just need that extra comfy around the waist. The instructions are very good, and when a beginner why rush, it is a new venture and to enjoy your work, take your time, it will cut out the frustration. The finger knits are so lovely to use in the house, and it is great to be able to wash and dry at home. I prefer my own cleaning stuff, then I also am at ease there will be no allergies coming back from the laundry services. Thank you for showing the animals, it is great to see them and I really enjoy their naughty fooling around. It is only the cat that knows how to behave as she is so sophisticated. Thank you for sharing take care ❤

Lovely work. I crochet seasonally. I have done many designs in spiral. I would love to dive into chunky channeille and by hand. Just awesome! I know what you mean by sheddy types of wool. I don't care for them. And my funky chunky channeille hats are scrumptious! No freying. Stays supple. Sure to last generations like the good ol' days A? I could live and weave that wool into so many lovely items!
Thanks for sharing. It's been a real inspiration!

Christina, this was really helpful, the explanation of the types of yarn and the care and cost. Since I happened onto your channel I have made a number of throws/blankets and my favorite is also the Bernat chunky chenille yarn. It works up so easily and quickly into a fabulous project. I appreciate your thoughts on yarns and I love ideas I get when you decoupage things I had never considered. Currently, we are preparing to build and living in a SMALL apartment, so the furniture refinishing and larger decoration projects aren't something I can do.
We have no pets, but your crew is adorable!
I hope you have a splendid week!

Thank you, I'm very happy with how my blanket came out. I miscalculated how much yarn that last row would take and was left with 5"and 4 more loops to back track through, but made it work

Thank you for this! I am trying to learn how to crochet (my mom is teaching me), but I'm having such trouble catching on, so I looked up something that would be easier to learn first and finger knitting came up. I think starting off with bigger loops will help me. I also like the chenille yarn more anyway for blankets and pillows! Will definitely be referring to this video when I start!

Hello and thank you for this very helpful tutorial! It’s the best video on this project that I’ve seen yet! And I’ve seen quite a few different people making these, but sometimes the video is kind of rushed, but you made it so easy to follow, plus you gave so much helpful info on the different types of yarn out there for this particular project! I really appreciate you taking time to make project this and share it with all of us! 🙏🏼💖
