- The DOE triple D was an outstanding engineering achievement in the 1950s. It solved many problems for farmers looking for high horse power tractors with great traction. We take a look at its short history, development, and the company behind it. Ernest Doe.
Great video Alan, I've seen a Doe Triple D ploughing at the Festival of the Plough at Low Burnham (Epworth) back in the late 90's here in North Lincolnshire. A sight to see Cheers Dave 🙂
Thanks Dave. I've seen a few at shows myself. 👍
Great video Alan very interesting. Never seen one of these in the flesh. 😊
Thanks, Cathal. I've seen a couple throughout the years in shows in the UK, and I didn't realise they were so rare. Thanks for watching 👍
great stuff
Thanks 👍
A great video thanks. Ernest Doe have 3-5 TRIPLE D working in the field at Ernest Doe show in Ulting every february. Ulting is about 30 miles from where you are staying. if you contact them they may be able to let you see one on your visit
Thanks for that. Yes, I will definitely look into it. Regards.. Alan
Thanks for that, they would be no fun pulling out on a narrow road with a pile of bushes blocking the view… I saw one working at Country Crest show a few years ago it was very impressive. I heard that when they couldn’t be sold in dealers yards they were singled out again and front axles replaced to move them on.
Yes, I heard that too , wouldn't happen today 😃
I’ve never seen one in the flesh and I had actually been at the Ernest Doe yard a few times and never even knew about them at the time. Good video, all the best for your uk trip
Thanks Mike 👍
Very nice, as a child in the sixties l would see these for sale in caenby corner machinery sale, they couldn’t give them away, now look at them!
Unreal how things come around. Thanks for watching 👍
