Yes, my voice is a little off, I've been trying to get over a pretty bad cold!
Stay to the end to see finished quilt which includes the pieced backing!
There is also an update on the scrap bucket situation and how that is looking!
I've challenged myself to do a new project each month using only 2 1/2 inch strips from my scrap buckets. I have always saved leftover strips from projects and cut up small leftover fabric from yardage into 2 1/2 inch strips and put them in a bucket for some "future" project . The future is now! It is time to tame the scrap bucket and use up these strips. I'll always have a scrap bucket of strips because I'm constantly adding to it but I want to get it down to just ONE bucket instead of three...make that seven after the "GREAT SORTING"! This series will last until I'm down to one bucket. Let's be honest, it will take at least 2 years to use up enough strips to make a difference! So join me on this project adventure to use up fabric scraps!

Love this. As a very senior citizen, I only have one comment. I get up and down from sewing machine to ironing board frequently and that is deliberate. It's good exercise! Bagging all pieces for one block keeps you organized AND speeds up the process. Having one finished block spurs you on to make the next one, especially since they'll all be unique. Thanks!
This block has got me itching to try it!!! I've watched this video a few times ...thank you for such clear precise instructions... last be that it can be a happy too!! You make it look so easy❤
I do the same for the exercise. It can be tiring sometimes, but I value the leg work so as to keep me from getting stiff.
That is my exercise routine while quilting too. Keeps the blood moving to prevent varicose veins 😊
I am with you there ma'am the encouragement of that way helped me to conquer the hunters star of which I made seven I two nights , keep sewing ma'am as you obviously enjoy it as do I 🎉 ❤
That’s exactly why I don’t put an ironing station beside my machine. It forces me to walk across the room. Too much sitting isn’t good for anyone and I do enough of that working full time. ❤
I have enjoyed all of the videos for scraps. Thanks for your help using up my scrap hamper!
Great quilt 👍 And lots more scraps used up 🎉 Thanks for sharing this lovely block with us 👏👏🇬🇧
I just love this serie,,,,,, Thank you for all your good ideas.
You are so welcome!
Wow! That is a lovely quilt.
Thank you so much for your videos. I love your little iron.❤
I started watching this channel because of this series. Then I found your monthly UFO challenge and BOM Baskets. Love them all. Thanks so much for your creativity and variety. Looking forward to more fun to come.
Yay! Thank you!

Great use of scraps 😊
Love your series. I think this pattern is my favorite so far! Thank you for showing 3 different options! I have to admit that I keep expecting you to show us your empty bins. Some day‼️😉
I was skeptical at first with all the different colored blocks--but the finished quilt was awesome!!
Love the back quilt!
Excellent! Love this settling
Just found you! I am going to look at all this series. Thank you.
I appreciate that you, as an instructor, practice safe cutting methods and don’t cut towards your self or other ways that could cause injury or mess up your cutting. Thanks for all your videos.
Very beautiful. Like all prints used. Sandra B.❤
Another great video. These are so relaxing, I love and look forward to them. Thanks so much for sharing.

Love the idea of using my extra 2.5 inch strips. Thanks!
You do a great job explaining what you are doing. It makes it easier to follow. Love this!

Love this block and oh, the way your back turned out with the large border around it is very striking. Thanks for sharing all these wonderful scrap projects. My goal for 2024 is to use up a lot of my scraps.
Thanks so much!
I love your videos. You always have patterns I will actually make and this is my favorite of all your jellyroll patterns, although they are all beautiful.

I love this quilt! I have a ton of 2 1/2" strips. It's time to start attacking them 😆
That was a good lesson on color placement. It makes a big difference. Great quilt. Thanks for sharing.
Love your colors
Another winner! I am definitely a scrappy girl and this one ticked all the boxes.
Another layout would be divide quilt into quadrants and spin each quadrant a quarter turn ❤
This is Really pretty. Enjoyed the learning
Love it!
I always hit the like button BEFORE I start the video. I really liked this pattern. I think it would be a good one for new quilters. The quilt you made was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. The back was just as pretty as the front. How does one decide which side will be up ??? 🤔🤔. Anyway I love your channel and look forward to the next video. ✌🏻♥️
Thank you so much!
Another great video and beautiful quilts.Thank you ❤

Another great tutorial! Thank you so much for this series. After reading through the comments, I’d say I’m not the only one with a scrap problem😂. I look forward to your next tutorial.
Great idea, I loved your quilt going to make it my next project. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
I’ve enjoyed everything in this series ! Great ideas and execution!! Thank you!!
Another great video from start to finish. Thank you so much
You are so welcome!
Mind blown! Another amazing quilt! I would be a “ one block at a time” kind of person, but can hardly wait to make my first block. Thank you again for this wonderful quilt.
Thank you so much!
This has been a GREAT series… the thing about scraps is they keep appearing, lot of opportunities to make all the quilts you have so generously given us, Merry Christmas!
Gorgeous quilt!! Thank you for sharing. Definitely one I will be making.
You are so welcome!
Loving the series. Hope you keep coming up with idea because I still have scraps!😂. Thanks!
Already liked! Love this series.
Very nice block!! I might try this.
This block was a delight to piece, and I thank you for it.
I'm loving this series. I don't quilt, but I sew boomerang bags and some clothes. I have half a pillowcase of scraps that I have been cutting into strips - inspired by your series. I binge-watched the previous 6 videos of this series a couple of weeks ago and I can't wait to see what you do next month. I love seeing how much your scraps reduce after each quilt you make. Your videos are very satisfying to watch and make me wish I had more scraps - even though I'm still trimming mine to usable sizes. Thank you for inspiring me!
I love this pattern. I will have to make this ,your block is beautiful and I love your color choices ❤❤
Thank you! 😊
Excellent! I would have to make one block at a time! I am just not as organized as you! Thank you for this tutorial! I like your backing, too!
You are so welcome!
Love watching how you use up your scraps x well done sweet🤶🎅🎅♥️
I love this series! I don't have a lot of 2.5 scraps but will be cutting some strips to make up some of these patterns up.
I like this pattern for my scrappy quilts. Do you have any recommendations for a baby quilt? Something smaller than the one in the video?
this is really pretty - I'll be adding to 2024 (might end up 2025, but I can dream, right? :) )
I know you were using up scraps, but could I use this with a jelly roll and background fabric for the lightest fabric. Would there be enough fabric in the jelly roll?
Yes. You could probably get 12 blocks from a jelly roll and a light fabric to end up with a 64" x 48" quilt.
once again it's fabulous, my favourite block was the pinky purple one under your right hand. hope you are better soon thank you
Really enjoyed this video thank you. I am trying to get over my lifetime of matchy matchy and go scrappy for once. Fingers crossed🤣🤣
Love that the quilt feels modern as well as very traditional! I hope to someday be as good as you are now💙💙💙
I joined tge fb group. I'm really enjoying this series as well as the extra videos I've watched. Simple can be stunning. Thanks so much! Many Blessings from Deborah in West Virginia!
Awesome! Thank you!
I think you just made my favorite scrappy quilt from this series. ❤ This is a great demo of how "old, ugly" fabric can be beautiful. It would be a great Block a Day project. Happy Holidays! I look forward to more in the New Year.
