      Drp Drp A dumb trend honestly. I care less about the cars trim packages. If it gets me from point A to B, reliable, stylish ,and easy to maintain, that’s all I care about. Now cars are becoming mobile smartphones on wheels which is driving up the cost unnecessarily. The only safest driver in the world is the person behind the wheel. No tech can match that.

    it's not stupid if it works Jay, using a block of wood and a jack is fine to me. I had to do body work with a sledge hammer and a cast iron pipe after hydroplaning backwards at 45 mph into a guardrail. that 77 monty carlo just lost a tail light and had some minro damage to rear quarter. just had to reach into a tight space with an iron pipe and hit it with a hammer to get it pushed back and bolt in a new tail light. worked great.

    Hey Jay,
    Take a look at LED solutions if you have not yet. HIDs are good, sure, but it has the added hassle of harness and ballasts and higher level of degradation, specially on a car that vibration wasn't really a concern when it was built. Morimoto LED's have been a great success for me when I switched my A3 from HID's to LED.
    Great work as always.
    P.

    • @MrBeringela001
      @MrBeringela001 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also if the fan noise from the LED is something that bothers you, they can get loud, BEAMTECH makes fanless LED modules that also works really well and they are silent. On my pickup, since there is no projector housing, like the camaro, the fan noise was a problem. the beamtech ones fixed that issue.

    Haven't full kept into this, but did you decide what motor you were doing? Noticed those house twist connectors on the front end. Imagine some issues down the road. Perks of buying someone else car is you dodged having to full rebuild a car at once instead you just rebuild the car whenever you go to fix one small thing :) Also side note, glad to see someone who doesn't cave or concern themselves with opinions of random people online.

    I love old cars, I owned a 66 Mustang Convertable and a 78' Z-28 which was just a slightly sportier version of a Dog Camaro Year Anyway, but hey i was young and wanted a new car. I sold it in 84' for $500 less than I paid for it new. Not bad in those days. Anyway Jay have fun with this if you havent already finished it. These days I prefer New Cars to Old Cars. That Late Model Camaro next to your 67' is a much better car imho.

    Jay, I struggle with the badging of things incorrectly as well. One of the things I want to do so bad is put black M3 badges on my M3, which is not a competition spec. I put carbon fiber pieces all over it, the windows are tinted black and everything, so black badging would match much better instead of chrome. Maybe I go carbon fiber badging if I can find it instead..... not sure.
