12:44 that now reminds me about a McDonald's in NYC that I had been to about 25 years ago near Wall Street. it also featured someone playing piano right above the entrance area and they had real cutlery as well as cloth napkins. unsure whether that's still a thing 😅
@@MustDoCanada so, I did a quick research and it's no longer a thing, since at least the piano was removed in 2014 (kinda had a feeling about that, lol.) that's what it used to look like: th-cam.com/video/8MVDn-Vkyls/w-d-xo.html I couldn't find anything on the stainless steel cutlery they also offered, though. results are too clogged up with general changes about what's better for the environment. a posh experience for still the same (or similar enough) regular fastfood pieces.
Would love if you could describe the food with more adjectives 🙏🏼 it’s nice to hear the food is “good” or “very good”, but aside from that, would be nice to hear adjectives such as sweet, salty, tangy, smooth, creamy, tart, bitter, crunchy, etc etc etc
The Keg Steakhouse at Granville Island was a big winner for me!!! I’ve never drank a better sweet tea and I’ve lived in the Southeastern U.S. all my life!!!
Well, you picked places that reflect BC (which stands for Bring Cash), so out of reach for normal folk....especially if you are out of town and have to pay to stay.
We ate lunch at Kaisereck Deli in the Granville Island Market. They had the best currywurst! Also loved Beaucoup bakery in Kitsilano for breakfast. For dinner I’d recommend Zubu Ramen on Hornby.
and because you guys asked in the description: I think this food review was fantastic! but then again, everything that you do is just great. it's because you perfectly combine a fun, yet still professional vibe. 👌
Not sure Joe Fortes IA top restraunt in van, expensive yes, if you go to vancouver magazine top restraunts any of those definitely are even honorable mentions
Hope those babies are growing good inside of you Karla 🥰 Hope you are feeling great too! Make sure you both get rested. I love Vancouver and thank you for showing it
For us Joe Fortes was meh. If you want a really good steak, get a reservation at Hawksworth and ask for the ribeye steak for 2. If it's not on the seasonal menu you need to ask them ahead of time and they will make it for you.

We went to East is East yesterday after watching this. It was delicious. Thanks for the recommendation!
That’s awesome! Thanks for letting us know. The all you can eat is great value

3 of them were quite cheap actually. Breakfast was like $10. Burger was $15. All you can eat at east is east is like $25.

We love Kaisereck currywurst, followed by donuts from Lee's Bakery.
@@sterlingmoose9335 we were going to try Lees, but the lineup was insane!
Kaisereck Deli is simply amazing! It should be top 3 in Vancity

Is Karla Mexican Canadian and Matt French Canadian?
Karla is originally from Mexico, but no, Matt has no French background
@@MustDoCanada so he might be Anglo Canadian then

12:32 oh, cool! am I supposed to be impressed? in Salzburg, they got a restaurant that's been around since about 985 😂
okay, so I got curious and looked it up. what should I say, I was sightly off. it opened its doors in 803 😶
@@HxTurtlewow that's crazy. I've never heard of any kind of establishment that was that old

random question: do you speak Spanish, Matt?
No, but i should
4:27 so, leave the gun! you're all good 🤣
Perhaps some better words to describe the taste of the food, other than "so good" or " very good".
Love the video. That bloke is one lucky man to be married to such a stone cold fox.
Not real professional coniseurs for sure. 😅
Boring and dry video
Thank you :)
