Join us as we explore the incredible work of the Food and Nutrition Security, Enhanced Resilience (FANSER) project in Zambia. Since 2015, FANSER has partnered with the National Food and Nutrition Commission (NFNC) to improve the nutritional situation of vulnerable households, starting in the Eastern province and expanding to Luapula province in 2020.
In this video, we take you to the sustainability summit held on February 8th, 2024, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Lusaka. The summit was attended by over a hundred people from government partners including the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture as well as the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries. Others who attended includes food and nutrition security cooperating partners and other nutrition stockholders. The 2024 summit marked a significant milestone in FANSER's journey with special focusing on:
• Engaging all partners jointly with a multisector and multilevel approach, Stocktaking of fruitful collaboration between 2015-2025, including a 40 million EUR German contribution to Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) through the 1st 1000 Most Critical Days Program II (MCDP II), preparing for discussions with decision-makers on the sustainability of impact and potential scaling, and Contributing to the preparation of the next Zambian National Nutrition Program.
The summit was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including the Guest of Honor Mrs. Lilian Kapusana, the Permanent Secretary to the Office of the Vice President, the German Ambassador to Zambia H.E Anne Wagner-Mitchell, government partners, and other cooperating partners.
