  • The 2020 Nissan Sentra, looks like the 2020 Maxima but smaller. The first generation of the Nissan Sentra was introduced in the United States in May 1982 as a direct replacement for the Datsun 210.The model was initially imported from Japan, where it was produced at Zama plant. Available in four body styles (two-door sedan, four-door sedan, five-door wagon and three-door hatchback coupe), then they decided “to hell with it” just keep the four door sedan, fast forward to 2020 Nissan introduced the eighth generation of Sentra finally after 7 years.
On the other hand we have the 2020 Honda Civic in Japanese is Honda Shibikku, a car created for citizens and cities.
The civic in north america is like the Mercedes Benz in Albania, pretty much everyone owns one or is thinking of buying one. The first generation Honda Civic was introduced on 11 July 1972, but sold as a 1973 model in Japan.
The current generation is the tenth model introduced back in 2016, and probably we won't get a new generation for another couple of years.
The Sentra comes with the SR trim meanwhile the Civic comes with the touring package. So which one is the best out of the two?

Hi, guys! No one says about this, but almost all Nissan vehicles come with ceramic brake pads, made by Hitachi brand, from Japan. This is a huge difference related to the normal brake pads: no black dusty and long life duration, above 50.000 miles, and you will have your wheels always clean. The perfomance brake is also better than the normal pads. My full Versa 2018 came from factory with these ceramic brake pads. I recommend it. Buy the Nissan. Sam, congratulations about your channel.

The 2020 Sentra is beautiful looks better than its cousin Altima has tech features wish was equipped with moonroof. Nissans have bigger trunks for years. If I was go back to a sedan would be a Sentra love this car as much like Maxima. People complain about Nissan reliability with Renault and CVTs heck those are ones never driven a Nissan all cars can't be perfect, Nissan makes a good product think manufacturers might go CVT in all cars even trucks. I have a 12 Altima 3.5 V6 at 104k miles, it’s actually great in MPG as long as I accelerate normally and no flooring it, car gets up to speed with only 1-2k rpm, it’s fully loaded only gripe are the headlights are pretty ugly and even though I replaced them with dark ones you can still see the silhouette of them but it has a great ride, much much better than my previous 2007 Camry. I’m building credit right now but I’m hoping Nissan adds a turbo to the sentra and I’ll definitely be down to finance one!!!! The Corolla is also pretty sexy, at least from the side view. Então, retirei o meu no dia 26.05.2023 e, na primeira semana, já apareceu um problema no coxim. O carro começou a fazer muitos barulhos.

Honda's notorious and fatal fuel-oil dilution defect on the 1.5 Earth Dreams engine will ultimately serve to shorten these vehicles' lives down the road (Civic, Accord, CR-V). @@sasothestrategizer It's not my responsibility to educate you on something you should already know, esp given the misguided boldness in your comments. But for starters, you can search these Honda/Acura defects: Earth Dreams 1.5L turbo fuel oil dilution (www.wardsauto.com/engines/honda-15l-engine-suffers-cold-weather-oil-dilution-problem), piston ring failure, transmission failures (CL, TL, Accord, Odyssey, Pilot/MDX, TLX), ZF 9-speed transmission failure, TSX 2.4 K24 & V6 w/VCM excessive oil consumption / oil starvation (us.autologic.com/news/honda-engines-oil-consumption.) These are just a few of many Honda defects that should keep you busy for awhile. BTW, talking to Honda dealer service departments will get you nowhere, knowledgewise. Most are trained to deflect and minimize any issues and keep you dumb and pacified. Like Toyota, Honda has excellent legal teams, who are extremely proficient at keeping the buying public and owners in the dark, in order to protect their vaunted perception of reliability. I've been in the car business for almost 20 years. Those who are in-the-know are well aware of Honda/Acura's notorious history of transmission failures, which started in the '90s and still plague some current models. Honda's automatic transmissions, especially when paired with a V6, have been historically weak in long-term durability. The truth hurts sometimes.

The Civic Sport is slower and a better comparison, also civic doesent have LED headlight like th SR

The civic sport has different rear control arms, bigger swaybars, and retuned shocks, it handles better than the touring model Civic and WAY better than the Sentra.
The Civic Sport is also available with a very nice manual transmission. I would never own a CVT they are absolute garbage!
The 2.0 naturally aspirated port injected engine Civic with a manual transmission will last hundreds of thousands of miles, unlike the Sentra.
The Sentra looks great, but it’s definitely the inferior car in handling and reliability over time.

Honda is not the Honda of old, so i would bank on the Nissan at this point.
    They have more to prove
Honda is getting complacent with those Earth Dream unreliable engines...

I'm glad Nissan did not go with turbo and direct injection. Honda's notorious and fatal fuel-oil dilution defect on the 1.5 Earth Dreams engine will ultimately serve to shorten these vehicles' lives down the road (Civic, Accord, CR-V). Flawed piston ring design and bad direct injection engineering will be the 1.5 Earth Dream's Achilles Heel.

A small bump in the road that has been fixed vs a company with less than desirable reliability rep, I wouldn't say the civic will be less reliable

Until Nissan adds a turbo the sentra is much better looking, civic is kind of ugly.

Crappy thing is. These are "entry level vehicles", but people like me who work full time at minimum wage or just above, will never be able to afford them.
    Trash.
Also, very nice biased review. 👍
