The Sentra was the winner for most of the categories. It seems like the obvious win,the looks inside and out are just beautiful, and all the safety features as well. I’m 16 and my parents just bought me the 2020 Sentra sv and I’m absolutely in love😍😍😍
You tested the two nicer trims of the Civic and Corolla but only the SV trim Sentra. Shoulda used the SR for a more fair comparison but Sentra still wins lol
Love how the new sentra's look, beautiful; but I still prefer the civic for the performance factor! If the sentra would of came with a turbo version I would of been sold no question!
Not really into small cars but love the Sentra wouldn't mind driving one looks better than other generations in the past. Corolla is nice but like Civic better on looks though prefer Toyota over Honda. The Sentra has grown be mini Altima and bigger Maxima exterior design is amazing.
Overall, this felt like a great comparison test, very objective with a few minor points - 1) How can a comparison test of this class of car go without mentioning fuel efficiency - either real world or EPA MPGs? 2) Re: Interior: I think its a bit odd to downgrade a vehicle because of the color of the interior; e.g. the blue stripping on the Corolla is not mandatory, the seats can be ordered in black. And do the rear head rests fold or can they be removed? This makes a big difference in visibility for people who rarely have backseat occupants. 3) Styling. I think I'd have a hard time buying the Civic on looks alone, though obviously the sales charts tell a different story. Even if subjective, Styling *IS* a factor in purchase decisions.
Can’t believe I’m saying this but that Sentra is actually really nice. However, I would buy the Civic if I had the choice because of its handling and space. The Corolla still feels bland to me.
If u want a reliable honda civic get the one with 2.0 vtec engine..1.5 turbo had issues with oil delution ..i got a 2020 sport 2.0 with 6 speed manual transmission...it doesnt feel slow at all..im coming from 2012 mustang 3.7 305 horsepower..so civic is not bad at all
Not the Mazda... And come 2021, not the Elantra. But the Jetta and Impreza... Yes. The Forte is more or less a worse version of the Elantra, but it has its place as the cheapest
You voted civic seats best?! Imo, they suck. I have a civic and after an hour or so my back is killing me....the seats in my gti are comfortable for a 6 hour drive but in my civic i cannot wait to get out after an hour.
@@BigEightiesNewWave nissan is a good brand for people of all colors, salaries, and all academic levels. and as of recent years they are much better with reliability 🙄
Amazing to think that the current Civic came out in 2016 and it's still winning all of these comparison tests. When the new one comes out in the spring, it'll demolish the competition.
That’s because the guys in this test do not want to admit the Nissan Sentra is better than the Civic in any category. Just listen to them. The Nissan clearly has the better seats and interior quality the looks and everything. The Civic only has an edge in performance.
Levi Thomson LOOKS ,I have a black Honda sport touring hatchback it’s incredibly spacious compared to the look of its exterior and because of the shape of the hood you could thread the head of a needle and the hatch is very roomy ,I’ve received quite a few complaints about its look especially when it first came out and it handles like a go kart ,the only thing I don’t like is that turbo pause when you first step on it and road noise depending on the surface and of course I wish it was faster
@@robertgraham5486 I respect your opinion but the appearance of the outside (all of the fake vents and black plastic bit) is the deal killer for me and many others. no matter how great the engine and manual transmission area, the current civics are detestable to my eye. If the body panels from the Insight (which is on a civic chassis) was put onto a civic SI, I think I could get over the cheap plastic interior, and as long as I can comfortably fit in the seats (I'm long-legged), I would purchase one as soon as possible.

The new 2020 sentra for me
CVT garbage and no reliability.
@@BigEightiesNewWave But all of these cars have a CVT ... It's going to be more reliable than the Civic which would be stolen ..

In compact category my favorite is Golf looks and practicality wise. But you should give credit to Corolla Hybrid as well.

The Mazda3 is too up level for these comparisons

For the money, would anyone buy one of these over an Accord, Camry, or Altima? Or a Mazda 3?

Accord, Camry, and Altima aren't small cars, and therefore don't compete in this class.
@@JJ-ls7fq yes, they're in a different class but similarly priced and many buyers would consider a car with a larger interior for not much more money.

Where is the Kia Forte or Hyundai Elantra or Mazda 3 sedan or Subaru Impreza or Volkswagen Jetta or the Honda Insight
