Took some pictures, they are in the gallery on the link in description. One of them is from the motor shield, it is visible there. Was rushing the project so did not shoot the soldering part, did not think it is particularly interesting ;)
Thanks for the STL files and accompanying explanation. Super cool. I have ordered the parts and hopefully can start testing and using it soon. Do you also have a link to the wires and connectors you use? The one with the male connector on the rumble motor, and the female connectors on the motor shield?
@@57uyoCan you tell us a little more about how you secured the Arduino in the box and how you secured the lid of the box? Is that with a long m2/m3 nut and bolt? All the parts will arrive next week, then I can start building. I already have all the 3D prints ready. :)
@@GAEvakYD as far as I remember it was assembled with long m3 bolts screwed from the top and directly to the base of the box without any other hardware. I moved since then to arduino mega so this box is not being used any more. I will be switching back to Uno soon so plan to revisit the design a little as it was too complicated to put the arduino in (first goes the Uno then you have to connect the motor shield on top if it).
Thanks! They are strong AF. At 12v they work more than well, i set them 100% overall, 50% effect volume and they are spot on. Made mistake - returned ground surface to below 30 so I get soft effect not overlapping. In WRCG there is bug which puts telemetry very high up after race finish - this is very strong and unpleasant on my feet, also very loud. So yeah, i would say they are extremely strong and no need for full volume never (all of this at 12V).
Thanks! These are replacement rumble motors from Aliexpress. Just make sure you buy the ones with the big eccentric (think it was the left for xbox controller). This is for example: BGN 1.93 45% Off | MagiDeal Rumble Motor Trigger Replacement For Microsoft One Controller a.aliexpress.com/_mtkdj6q
Appreciate the video. I have created something similar and it was working, but the motors have stopped, one after the other. Can it be that the motors are 5V and will burn when you power the L298N by a 12V supply?
My motors were rated 12V I believe, still working fine and are very strong at 12V. I drive them about 70% volume as after it gets quite unpleasant. I drive with shoes and still it is quite a lot of vibrations. I believe all of Aliexpress are 12v, they are just driven at 5 from gamepads/fanatec wheels and pedals
This is from OMP Racing pedal set, 0A/1010 and OA/1020 feature it. I bought it at a Poland rally store, but they have them on Amazon as well, it is quite common.
Step files no, everything is in Tinkercad. If it is public maybe you can edit yourself? I can try sharing. Also what is the offset for Sprints? Maybe i can make the mount holes even longer.
@@57uyo Honestly, it's kind of weird and not constant, i can already tell i'd have to go through a few iterations. When my motors arrive i'll design from scratch and can send it to you as well
@@uluv2c8 yeah, sprints also have different offset on throttle than other two pedals. Motors should be the same size, from aliexpress at least. You can always upload your version on my website ;)
Thanks for sharing and just completed the mod myself. I was missing the rumble after upgrading from Fanatec V3s. Just what I needed!
Glad it helped! We are in the same boat ;)
so sick bro. Really enjoy your videos. I didn't even know half this shit was possible to do on your own.
Thanks! This is the idea of the videos - it is very easy and trying to push people to do such projects themselves 🤪
Tried accessing your site but it seems like it is down unfortunately.
Would have been nice if you showed how exactly you stuttered the connectors on the Arduino board.

All of them are standard JST 2.54mm connectors from Aliexpress - nothing special, 2pin. They are directly solderable on the motor shield ;)

Yep, all files are here: diy-sim.com/sim-projects/sim-gear/item/pedal-rumble-motors-for-he-ultimate
Excellent video! Are you finding these motors strong enough especially on the brake??

Where did you get that awesome gas pedal??

Got STEP files? the ultimate+ doesn't fit the sprints. Idiot me printed 5 first then found out.

Howd you mount them upside down?
Sim-Lab Inverted Pedal Mount. Great piece of kit especially when it was discounted!
How about a parts list please?
