Love this song! Loved watching Itai react to Shinji's playing! They've got a niche and an asthetic and they do it well. Thanks for the reaction!

    I respect you all.
This is the first time I've seen a reaction video trying to understand Ningen Isu from the lyrics to the background.

Good job! Black Sabbath is their main influence, and in fact the lead guitarist/singer. Shinji Wagima even plays a Gibson SG as made famous by Tony Iommi, and in fact he even has an SG that is autographed by Tony Iommi. The name Ningen Isu translates as "The Human Chair", which is an old Japanese horror story from the 1920's, similar to the name Black Sabbath, which is the title of a 1960's Boris Karloff horror movie. The bass player is also a big fan of Gene Simmons from KISS, which has something to do with the makeup he wears. Sabbath was also very well known for changing up songs several times in songs.

Yes, we discussed the translation of the name when we reacted to 'Heartless Scat'. It's a very cool story.
We look forward to covering more of their work and finding out about more of their influences. An awesome, awesome band!
Thank you kindly for viewing and engaging, Mike. Much appreciated! 🙏

Thanks for the explanation about namahage. I didn't know the history of it of what it is and your explanation added even more depth to this song. Many thanks for that!

Happy to help! However, most of what I (Itai) mentioned in there was from memory, so best read up on it a little to make sure we're not leading you astray. I'm fairly sure I was in the right area with most of it (about the Namahage), but there is likely more information out there. As for my interpretation, it is probably more subjective anyway, but I find it intriguing and fun to try to read into the artists' intention and meaning. And these guys give us much opportunity to do that with the depth of their writing. Just an awesome, awesome band!
Thank you kindly for viewing and engaging. Much appreciated! 🙏

I like to imagine these guys were the grandfathers of the kids of Asterism. I like both bands a lot.

Strangely, I (Itai) can see that. Lol. Ningen Isu are fast becoming my absolute favourite band and Asterism is quickly creeping up that list as well. Both are just phenomenal musicians/artists.
Thank you for taking the time to view and engage yet again, Andrea! Great to hear from you and much appreciated, as always! 🙏

As you seem quite smitten with the band I think you need to go ahead and listen to some of their albums, you can steer clear of the albums with songs you'll likely react to, but with 23 albums that leaves quite a few you could choose from. Sakura no Mori no Mankai no Shita (1991), Shura Bayashi (2003) and Ijigen kara no Houkou (2017) are all albums without any obvious reaction songs, and are spread out over their career. You will definitely get the deep cuts with them, as well as see that Black Sabbath is not their only influence. Since rumors are they will be releasing album 24 this year, you don't want to get further behind.
Just a clarification, as far as I know it has been a few years since they have needed to hold part-time jobs. Their appearance at OzzFest Japan in 2013 seems to be regarded as a turning point when they started to get more attention. While not playing arenas or stadiums they do have quite a loyal fan base in Japan, and did get to do a brief tour in Europe in 2020 (3 shows).

I (Itai) will do my best to listen to what I can, while trying to avoid songs we're likely to react to, but it's tough to know which would make for good reaction episodes without actually hearing them first. Yet I see your point and will do my best to work my way through some when I can. I'm sure Sabbath are not their only influence and it could be easily seen from Heartless Scat that these guys like to "mix it up", which I LOVE!
It's good news on the "job situation" and them being full-time musicians for about a decade now. They deserve to, and should, concentrate on making more music as they are so great. As much as they have a loyal fan base in Japan, I personally believe they deserve to be much bigger all around the world... and this is on the basis of just two songs! We will definitely be back with another from them (likely Toshishun) soon. Stay tuned!
Thank you kindly for viewing and engaging. Much appreciated! 🙏

@@myindieprodentertainment It's a problem many reactors run into, holding back listening to bands they like in favor of future reactions. One thing I've recommended in the past to others as a happy medium is to do something like a Top 3 songs from an album video, listen to the album offline, take notes on your 'reaction' during the listen, then make a short video revealing your top 3 and any other comments you may have. Each of you could have your own Top 3, and the viewers could chime in the comments with their own Top 3. For those who like to listen to albums as a whole it has appeal, for others not as much. Just a thought, I realize lots of work go into the videos so do what makes sense for you.

@@twoffo Thanks! Yes, we have some plans of doing album reviews/reactions, which would mean longer episodes, but we'd cover much more in a shorter time span. It is still a possibility, but would require more time invested from us, which at the moment is a tough one with holding day jobs and trying to release an episode here every second day and hoping to increase that frequency soon anyway. We'll give certain things a try and see how we go, just as soon as we manage the time. Hopefully, with some more support from the audience and figuring out TH-cam monetization, etc., we'd be able to move to doing this full-time in coming months. Stay tuned!
Thank you for the suggestions and the support. We appreciate it! 🙏

Hey guys ! I also recommend NIGHTWISH - HIGH HOPES - Live at Pink Floyd cover 2005

This song, especially the intro and first couple of verses remind me of Slayer. A mix between Bloodlines and a slowed down Reign in blood.

Definitely an old school sound and executed to perfection!

The guy in red is always talking BS, whaterver song they review. Doesn't understand the meaning of the song and says lots of crap, as usual.

    • @myindieprodentertainment
      @myindieprodentertainment  ปีที่แล้ว +3

Boris, this is not a review, it's a reaction. We are reacting to the song, hearing it for the first time and whatever reaction it evokes is what you see. There is no right or wrong reaction. We are trying to keep the reactions natural and genuine, if you don't enjoy it, that's fine, you can just move on, but coming here to comment just to insult a person is pretty low. We are working hard on the show, trying to make good content that most people seem to enjoy. It's not to your taste and that's fine, but trying to insult someone because you don't enjoy what they do, is not the way to go about things. We could have just deleted your comment, but decided to respond honestly instead, hoping to open a line of communication. Again, if you don't like what we do, you can simply refrain from watching, there's so much content online and we're sure you'll find something to your liking elsewhere. Life is too short, stick to positive things and enjoy. We wish you the best.
