I found that comment so odd too! I was talking at my phone like wtf are they talking about? Like officeworks and eckersleys are more options! I don’t for one second believe they couldn’t get their hands on some clay.
I found that weird too, I wondered if it's a country thing but probably not. I'm a cosplayer, so I actually usually have the exact opposite problem with clays and crafting supplies, the packages are usually too small for what I need.
Next time you are painting with very transparent acrylic paints, all you have to do is add some cornflour to it. Ta-daa, opaque paint!! Fun video btw 🙂

It’s crazy how similar they are! I would really like to see the other one but not enough to make you buy 5 kits. Lol. OMG I LOVE your burger coasters! Such a cool and fun idea!!!! 💜💜💜
So now that you have done them, you should take us to Michaels (or similar store) and show us the products in the store, compare them, and let us know which you prefer. :) There will always be people who prefer kits. I am not one of them. But I would be curious to see you compare with a local craft store.

@gwenhyfarbeati You absolutely can copywrite a recipe, but 3 small changes is enough to qualify it as a new recipe. (So swap nutmeg for allspice, double the cinnamon, and swap coconut oil for butter, etc).

As someone who have done pottery and clay classes. The tools are mostly normally the same no matter where you get it especually when doing hand building. You can get better quality sculping tools yes but these are also what you see being student grade from any art store as they're extreamly simple to just order in bulk for stores and they're decent enough to be used. That's why the tools probably look all the same for all three. The sponge is also extreamly normal as well for both hand building *and* wheel throwing as it's a way to control moister as you're working. I have noticed one clay does have a sligtly reddish hue so I wonder if it's an Adobe clay (as in the red clay, not the computer program) but it could be another type of red clay that just happen to look similar. Adobe Clay though is stiffer and harder to kneed in some cases and the softer clay looks to be slightly more moist as well, so that may be why they say you can use it in a kiln because it won't "melt" in said kiln (from my experienced apparently there are some clays that are high or low firing where if you put a low fire clay in a high fire kiln.... um... it melts even when you're glazing the pieces? I was so scared one class when I learned this was a thing as he showed what would happen when a ceramic melts and I was hoping I wouldn't murder anyone else's pieces as I wanted to glaze a bunch of high school cermaics. Turns out High School used high firing clay where it could take being glazed at higher tempatures.). But these are just going by slight visual differences and also I'm not focused in clay as an artist so I'm sure better clay focused people can clear up the differences far better with what they know of the different clays.

Don't they have a manufactory label on them? it can be the same place! but airplane boxes are very common for gift boxes, that's what I use for my advent calendars. The clay is very different if one is baked and the other air dry, and the consistency would be important depending on what you are making. The stuff included seems basic, so every box should have it.
Or like the way that there is one factory for high end and budget makeup where the product is identical, just the packaging changes. Except here, they’ve used the s1me packaging for bot( boxes too.
These are just your basic pottery supplies. It’s most likely not one company totally ripping off the other, or one company posing as two, or some drop shipping scam. The sponge and sculpting tools are the exact same, because they’re the exact same set EVERYONE uses. If you’re somebody just starting out, you typically use those tools.
Hullo Chloe, I do enjoy your videos ! You are a wonderful Artist and excellent creator of video content too! Being able to create videos of art that you create is no easy thing to do! I have had trouble getting paint to stay on clay that is not completely dry, could this have been your problem? Trapped moisture will not allow the paint to adhere to the surface, it must be dryer than bone dry, completely dry! I have a NerdECrafter box that came with clay, now that is a wonderful box and the only bad thing it is no longer available! Thanks for trying these boxes and I would rather buy my own paint, than just get it because it is cheaper. Excellent review and awesome video!
Looks like the clay difference is one looks like stoneware clay & the orange/ tan one could be terracotta clay. Person who works with clay is called a potter or ceramicist
They are all made by the same producer. I would not call it drop-shipping, tho. They don't buy an existing product as is and resell it with a big margin. They all have done a regular sourcing process, like nearly all wholesalers do. They had an idea, searched for a manufacturer online, designing the product within the given options of the manufacturer and ordered it. Technically, there is nothing wrong with it. And the idea of a beginners' clay crafting kit is good. The questions tho is what they lied about on their website, is the information trustworthy (like ethical sourced materials?), and is the price reasonable?
Wait wait wait one of the sets said it had to be fired? They are completely different types of clay if that’s the case, one is polymer clay and the other one is actual you know… dirt….
Rewatched and the one clay that talked about firing mentioned it being optional… interesting! I’m not at all familiar with air dry clay that you can fire in a kiln…. But still that should be the biggest indication that these are completely different products just a coincidence they are so similar
This sounds like drop shipping you get wholesale and rebrand.
It seems that they are sourcing all their materials from the same companies in probably China, none of these creators are in the manufacture business so that does make sense.

The clay is very different if one is baked and the other air dry, and the consistency would be important depending on what you are making. The stuff included seems basic, so every box should have it.
Maybe they all just repped each other off, i mean there is limited stuff u can add to a pottery box
Or like the way that there is one factory for high end and budget makeup where the product is identical, just the packaging changes. Except here, they’ve used the s1me packaging for bot( boxes too.
No pottd and sculptd copied from crockd
These are just your basic pottery supplies. It’s most likely not one company totally ripping off the other, or one company posing as two, or some drop shipping scam. The sponge and sculpting tools are the exact same, because they’re the exact same set EVERYONE uses. If you’re somebody just starting out, you typically use those tools.
Your burger turned out so fun but idk why I'm so sad you didn't do a tomato slice and lettuce 😂
You could add lettuce and a tomato level.
No waaayyy, I love the burgerrrrr
It is a funny coincidence, but I'm guessing they just source from the same suppliers.
I think your burger coaster set needs lettuce =)
'Really nice buns by the way'. 😂
You could have always have painted the sesame seeds on the top of the bun.
Very clearly drop shipped. Save your $$ and don't get crocked!
This is just like when I found out that petsmart and petco were competitors, and not joint companies
This sounds lke 3 different chat gpt versions of the same brief to me😂
Looks like the clay difference is one looks like stoneware clay & the orange/ tan one could be terracotta clay. Person who works with clay is called a potter or ceramicist
This is fascinating to explore ☺☺
new vid heck yeah
They are all made by the same producer. I would not call it drop-shipping, tho. They don't buy an existing product as is and resell it with a big margin. They all have done a regular sourcing process, like nearly all wholesalers do. They had an idea, searched for a manufacturer online, designing the product within the given options of the manufacturer and ordered it. Technically, there is nothing wrong with it. And the idea of a beginners' clay crafting kit is good.
The questions tho is what they lied about on their website, is the information trustworthy (like ethical sourced materials?), and is the price reasonable?
Yay!!!
Toothbrush for texture
Wow they are all using the same company such a small world.
You crack me up! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Have you ever checked their contact us or their company information at the bottom of their websites? If it’s the same company?
All my pottery tools look exactly the same and they are from tiger and somewhere else
Yeah sorry if how I said it was confusing! It can be fired but doesn’t need to be :)
Under 5 minutes!!! Ps I love your vids
Sounds like one has air dry clay, and the other is actual pottery.
They’re both air dry but one had the option to use in a kiln :) it just didn’t sound like it the way I said it in the video haha
3 minutes ago is crazyyy
Drop-shipping and white-labeling from China.
looks like white vs red clay by the colors
Maybe they all use the same manufacturer or something or mabey they all had the same idea it happens sometimes
