Hi everyone! So if you haven’t seen the end of the video, I have an extra ticket for the experience. If you are able to go with your child/a young relative within the next 120 days to the Orlando location, leave a comment and I’ll mail it to one of you at random. Thank you!! ✨
So is your little brother a genuine child or an older teen? I have no idea how old you are! :) When I used to help my friend who worked at a children’s museum as an unaccompanied adult I always had to go to a special desk and hand over my driver’s license for them to keep until I was done because they don’t trust adults who come without kids, even to help with an event 🤣 And like I understand why! But it made me feel like they thought I was a creeper! 😂
I will be in the Orlando area July 29-August 4. If you have to have a kid, don’t pick me. 😂 But I’m a kid at heart and you just showed me something else I’ve got to do!
I actually live in FL. My Lil brother is have autistic and I believe this be a fun place to go. The colors you choice where beautiful. And I agree on the options and I do t think kids mind it.
"we went during summer vacation and it was busy" that review tho...no shit??? It's a kids thing...in summer....Also the parents complaining about there not being anything for adults to do...play with your kids? interact with them? Do activities with them?
I worked at a zoo, and one of our top complaints was "I have to PAY to watch my child enjoy the ZOO!?" and I'd be like "yes sir, I do still have to charge you admission, this experience is intended for both of you "
It’s crazy that parents think that they can’t enjoy themselves in an environment where their kids are going, and therefore they think they shouldn’t pay for it 😭 it’s not hard to enjoy a place like a zoo as a grown up
@@Madamoizillion yeah kids dont just wanna do cool stuff, they wanna do em with mom n dad so they can socialize about how fascinating the animals are lol
Worked at a kid-friendly museum and it was the same way, and we were a small organization too so it was one of the most affordable admission tickets in the area. So many parents thought it would be okay to just… drop their little kids off and leave 😭
"As an adult don't do this.." NO. Absolutely as an adult TAKE PART. Enjoy the experience. You paid for it! Just because it was designed with kids in mind, doesn't mean you cannot enjoy it too and you're not taking away from a child's experience but having fun. If anything you'd be modelling fun for them to copy and enjoy
My ex used to take the piss out of me because I coloured in with his 5 year old niece when she asked. I still do that now when I'm looking after children. I also feel they sometimes they will take a longer interest in an activity if you're doing it with them.
About the 'hot' complaint, I used to work in a grocery store and they're kept quite cold to keep all the produce from going bad, but I had a couple of older ladies sweating and acting like they were dying. They complained to me that it was way too hot in there. No one else, even us employees who were running around lifting heavy objects repeatedly, had any problems. Some people have health conditions that affect how they feel temperatures and they never seem aware that it's a *them* issue and not an *everyone* issue.
@@stanaccount7733 I'd say it's pretty likely. Remember when people were leaving negative reviews for scented candles during the pandemic, saying they 'had no scent'. People are surprisingly ignorant when it come to their bodies and just want to blame someone.
I really appreciate you not showing the kids. While I will never have any myself, I can't stand people posting random unblurred kids on the internet. You simply never know who's watching and who's paying attention to the area/location. For their privacy and safety there is NO reason to show children all over the internet. Idc if they're sharing a public space with adults. You gained a lot of respect from me for that!
Exactly! I was watching a commentary video about the TikTok home renovators doing a terrible job, and one of the home reno people featured was outlining the process on their own home. Not only do they show off the outside of the front of the house (it was a plantation home/mansion looking outside, which makes it that much easier to find), but they give a tour of the inside including the rooms where the two little girls will specifically be sleeping! I was appalled that the mom was so willing to give out that information because who knows if some creep living in that area might come across that TikTok and do something. I don’t plan on being a parent due to personal reasons, but if I did have one I would not be plastering where we live and where they sleep for every creep and weirdo on the internet to entertain any twisted notions they may have.
@@Polyeurythane This exactly! Kidnappers (mostly human traffickers) don't just snag any random child off the street most of the time. They're typically careful of who they take, when they take them, and how they take them. They plan ahead and prepare what they need and plan their napping based around the location they're planning to act upon. This is also how adults go missing, but adults aren't as valued in the trafficking system as kids. One peek inside the reality of human trafficking would change the minds of most.
@@abinnohr6497 Absolutely! I used to live in an incredibly unsafe area that had issues with trafficking and I personally experienced a handful of kidnapping attempts; And this isn't even mentioning the weekly break in attempts. I can not believe how irresponsible some parents on the internet are.
@@Vash-Venture I think some parents are just absolutely clueless and are too arrogant to listen to others when told not to do something. It’s unfortunate.
Some of the bad reviews reminded me of the people who complain and leave bad reviews at places like Yellowstone national park when they don’t see certain animals. Someone actually left a review complaint that the YNP didn’t release the bears while they were visiting. Its insane some of the reviews people post. The crayola place looked cool.
I saw a review of an aquarium that was one star. This mother was complaining that the employees didn't let her & her kids sit in the cafe area without buying something. Her kids have celiac so she was upset that they made them eat their food at the tables upstairs. What restaurant would be ok with anyone taking up space at their restaurant when they're not buying anything?
My favorite when I worked for a national park was a middle-aged woman who complained that the trail she'd walked that morning "Was not well maintained." Why? She saw a snake on the trail. A trail that ran through a wildlife protection area, in a national park. Apparently she thought that we would just... get rid of all the snakes in all national parks as part of our trail maintenance because *obviously* national parks/forests exist solely for her enjoyment and not to, you know, protect and maintain these beautiful environments & all the livings things that inhabit them, snakes included.
I'd love to go, but am a large, overweight man with a scruffy beard and mid-length hair. I can imagine all the Karens there saying to 'not talk to people like '. Which is fine, please do NOT speak to me, but don't let *that* be the reason why...
Never be afraid to express yourself hun. If it's something you want to do (you know, as long as it's legal and not morally objectionable lol) then there are bound to be others who want to add well, and for all you know, you taking the step and not caring what other people think, as Chloe did for this video, could inspire others to do the same, like how you were. It's ok to be you. ❤
I stopped taking reviews really serious after I read some reviews about one of my local parks. One person gave the park 1 star...they complained about the duck and goose poop....they poop on the sidewalk and in the grass. The park has a nice pond...which attracts water fowl....where did that person expect the ducks and geese to poop? And another review complained that the kids were too loud. It has a play ground and a public pool and a lot of tables for picnics....it's an outdoor public park for families, not a grave yard.... I swear some people are just too stupid to leave their home or be online...lol.
As a 49 year old kid at heart and i have no children… i would go there for myself lol… that place looks awesome and i would have spent heaps in the gift shop. Now crayola needs to bring that to australia.
I’m 38 and a kid at heart too. I would love to fill my own tin even though I have a ton of Crayola Crayons already. And I would love a crayon with my name (or my WinterSprite handle-it would need to be a light blue, light purple, or light pink, I think). I have a Scribble Scrubbie that I customized and filmed for my channel a few years ago. I’d probably bring one of my dolls along and photograph her doing different activities.
So, certain places are kids cost and parents free and they don't let parents participate. I do not understand the idea of going to a kids park and not playing with your kids. We went to a splash pad and played with our kids, went to the zoo and got just as excited, to them to an indoor playground and played with them until they had other kids to play with... I just don't get it
My parents are a bit on the older side and my mom especially always had health issues, so a lot of activities my brother and I wanted to do as a kid were not really feasible for them to join in on, but for safety reasons they couldn't just let us in alone. I think what would be a good compromise is adult+child bundles that are at a discount, so if a child's ticket is $25, up to two adult tickets could be bought for $15 each, so the parents who aren't into the activity don't have to pay full price for their tickets, and the loss on adults who do participate is covered by the ones who don't.
Being a parent is hard, it's exhausting at times and sometimes it's even boring when your child wants to do the same thing over and over and over again. Parents can't be "on" 24/7, so I think some people like having a place where their kids can have a good time while they themselves can have a little break while still being in the vicinity of their kids. But judging parents for not being perfectly engaged 100% of the time is something people online just love to do.
@@naesalaI think the adult tickets could too easily be abused if there’s different costs. Like with a big family, or just adults going by themselves, etc. It just needs to be a flat price. Think about it sometimes a kid plays on everything for that ticket, sometimes they just want to stay in the gift shop and colour the entire time. 🤷🏻
@@dieSchreckschraubeA place where your kid could easily get away from you and get lost or snatched obviously isn’t a place to turn “off”, bffr. And it is a place you choose to bring them to. Entirely optional.
@@asmrtpop2676the solution there has always been no adults without kids. Indoor playgrounds don’t allow adults alone and often allow one adult free (to supervise) and any extra adults must pay.
No kids, in my 30’s I went with just my husband to the Orlando location. We had a lot of fun! I didn’t really care much to sit and draw on coloring pages much, but we still spent a couple hours seeing the show and doing all the hands on creating things. It’s definitely for more younger kids, but as a “big kid” I still had a fun time letting my imagination out to play.
I worked at an amusement park that you can go into for free, you just can’t ride any of the rides. You can walk around all you want, buy food or play games or whatever. But unless you have payed for a wrist band or tickets, you aren’t going on rides or in the waterpark. I feel like this place could do with a system like this, since a lot of parents aren’t going to want to pay upwards of $30 to do kiddie activities with their little ones all day, as well as paying for food and whatnot.
Those vintage tins brought back a lovely memory of getting a set of Crayola crayons for Christmas back in 1972 - yes, I am that old 😂. I have a photo taken by my mum of a beaming 6 year old me with my new crayons.
Somewhere around 1998, I did the Crayola factory tour. All I remember is a big plexiglass case with a crayon dispenser inside so you could pick a free crayon to take home... So pretty underwhelming even then I guess. I did get a fun coloring PC program though at the gift shop 😂
@@beth_mI went to the Jelly Belly factory in 2016 (WI location) when I visited one of my college friends for a week. We also took a day trip to Chicago and took a tour of Wrigley Field and went to the American Girl Store. (New York is the closest one for me as AG Boston closed in 2019, I think).
Re: wristbands or whatever, that'd put the staff in a position of policing who is and isn't allowed to do the activities, and kicking people out, which would change the whole vibe and make things less pleasant and less fun and more adversarial. That's probably not the atmosphere they want.
not really! It would just mean that you could only get in line and be given crayons for the activities with a wristband since the staff hand you the crayons to do them. If you didn't have a wistband you could watch/be with kids but not have crayons to do it yourself. Works well for Disneys after hours events keeping night guests separate from day guests after closing!
I live next to Cedar point. You can literally sit on my back deck and watch CP traffic leave or arrive. I frequently see reviews from people from out of state or even on youtube complain about rides being down during the bad weather. Lightening and roller coasters don’t mix. And they can’t control the weather.
They also feel like the same people who would get mad if you told them that they can't get in because there already are too many people, so no win for them
I went to the Easton PA Crayola. I really loved it as an adult. They had adult art kits in the gift shop. I made fairy lights that look like flowers. It seems like each Crayola Experience is different.
I had a great time as a childless 30 something with my bestie some years ago!! I made a custom color marker (didn't see that machine in the video), a yellow crayon I named "no fun" (inside joke) and the same little wax melt car but in blue with remnants of red from the person before me, very unique! 🧡💛💙💚💜
I was there almost 2 years ago. It was around Halloween. I did a treasure hunt to find all caracters. They bring a letter that makes a word. When you can show them a the right word you can get a grip in the surprise bucket. I got 3 crayons. And I named my emerald green crayon Brussel sprout green. 😂 I loved it. Because Cryola was a new thing to me. We don’t have that brand in the Netherlands.
Did you happen to notice if they had "retired" colors like Midnight Blue?? That was always my favorite crayon, so satisfyingly dark, but not black, just beautiful deep, deep, vibrant blue :)
I would have loved that as a kid. Actually, if they did an Adults Only night (so I didn't have to deal with crowds and screaming children), I would still enjoy it now. Did they have a scented crayon station/activity there? Because their scented line is one of my favourites.
This got a one star review because it's meant more for kids, not for adults. I'm 21 and I have a childish side, and I always loved crayola crayons growing up, so this was always like a dream to me. I always wanted to make my own custom colors of crayons because I thought they didn't have enough colors when I was a kid (I had the 150 crayon tower set LOL)
The one in PA was the one I went to as a kid. it actually had a museum about the Eerie Canal attached to it, so something for the adults in your life too. As a weird kid, I enjoyed both though.
Yes !! Been a bunch of times. Took my daughter and a friend usually once a year for a few years. Tickets were much cheaper back then but such is the way of the world today. I wish I got a crayon with my name ! I did all the same stuff the kids did so I did not mind paying at all ! Did you go to the pez museum in the alley by it ?
Holy crap, I've been trying to figure this out for years! Did the Eerie Canal museum have mannequins or something? I must have visited in the late 2000s or very early 2010a
I think it's annoying that people complain when things like this aren't free. Let's be real. This is a super famous company that isn't going bankrupt any time soon, but that said...they have to pay for: building/location taxes product staff insurance machines Plus, there are probably other things I'm not even thinking of. It's so entitled to think something like this that is purely for entertainment should be free to everyone. I love this kind of video from you btw. Looked like a blast. Love the history stuff like a museum. Hershey has a ton of stuff like this. It reminds me a little of that. ❤
For $26 you could also just get a few boxes of crayons and clay and make a similar experience that would last way way longer. Only 2 tokens is ridiculous to me. They should double that because you can find a single crayon and a packet of clay for a dollar each at the dollar store. There's nothing about this experience that really seems worth the money to me. I can genuinely understand why people would be pissed at this on let's say, a busy overheated overstuffed Saturday. This feels like a cheap gimmick.
@@linkguist6861 is for the experience of doing what you may not get to do at home, sure you can buy your own crayons and coat but it probably wouldn't be cheaper per say. Either way, if it's not for you then it's not for you. Nothings free in life and for anyone to expect a free experience then you delusional.
I mean I think there should be a place kids can color for free! To me this sounds like an issue of there not being enough kid friendly public museums or libraries in the area
I'm local and go through the mall a lot and can say the free coloring table in the gift shop is still there! They had some cute options for Black History Month last time I stopped by, it's just kinda hiding in an awkward spot but you can just walk in and color for free
We took my daughter to that specific Crayola Experience for both her 2nd and 3rd birthday. She loves it there! Also the token system makes the air dry clay half the price of buying the same single pack in another store, so thats kind for nice. Glad you had a great time!
Regarding the idea of adults accompanying kids to amusement parks for free: They actually do have a setup like this at the indoor amusement park in the Mall of America! It was formerly Camp Snoopy, now rebranded as Nickelodeon Universe. As it’s the center of the mall anyone can cut through or walk around, but you had to have a wristband (or individually purchased credits, etc) to scan at entrance of each ride line in order to take part. So we could buy an all-day wristband for me, my mom (who doesn’t like rides really) enjoyed reading her book on a nearby bench at no cost, I would go on a bunch of rides and check back in frequently, we’d go have lunch together somewhere, etc.
I never knew it was called camp snoopy. How long ago was that? I’ve been to mall of America and my mom isn’t a fan of rides either so she would only buy tickets or whatever for one or two rides she actually would go on and me and my sister would get wristbands.
@@stellamariss3335 I think they changed it around 2006, with Nickelodeon Universe officially opening in 2008. (I remember it being called “The Park at MOA” in the interim before a lot of the changes happened.)
Honestly, when you realize it can be an entire day’s worth of entertainment, with a side of edu 2:21 cation, learning and experimenting for $27 per person… yea, I’d think it was worth it. AND standing in a line outside in 105* for 3-5 hours for one ride, definitely isn’t! We had a Condo in CoCo Beach and every summer when we were there, we’d take our 3 girls to one of the parks. Obviously they really have no clue how expensive those are! Personally, I would really enjoy this and I know my 7 & 3 year old Gransons would love it! Thanks for sharing! And congrats again on getting married! Wishing you many years of happiness and love! ❤️
@ChloeRoseArt Now you should try making a massive crayon of your own! I saw a video several years ago from Wengie when she did her “making a giant version of something” series. She used a Pringles can as a mold (you just wouldn’t get the tip unless you figured out your own mold for it and how to put it together.
I would have loved that tin, too. I olnce bought my kids a box of about 75 colours and we read all the names and lay them out in colours and they had so much fun. Crayola has the best colour selection for kids.
I grew up in Easton PA, and my mom worked at the factory for a bit, we loved the tour in the circle and I even got to see some behind the scenes stuff way back in the 90's always a fond memory. so cool to see that these places exist outside of PA.
Thank you so much for giving us this tour, Chloe! As a kid (40 now) I saw crayons being made on Mister Roger’s and put visiting the crayola factory on my bucket list. When I found out they changed it to this Crayola Experience, I was wary and a little sad. But my kids think this could be fun so we’ll have to consider making the trip.
Huge props to your mum for raising such a wonderful daughter. I've watched you for a while and loved your art and vibes but I feel like your personality really shone in this video. From respecting the privacy of the children around to seeing the value of kids engaging in fun and creative activities with their parents. When she said it would be worth paying that amount for all of your family to go there, it all made sense ❤
This just makes me want to go to the experience in my state. Like I’ve noticed with reviews they are either really good or really bad. There is no in between. I love how honest and real this review is and even as an adult this looks like a lot of fun!!
Maybe 25 years ago, we took our young kids to the Crayola factory in Easton, PA, and it was great! I can’t remember any details, but we all thought it was terrific. Interesting to see how it has changed.
This was years ago now but when Groupon was really big. Myself and two of my (also adult) friends got a Groupon to go. We had a blast. We did all the activities. The guy at the counter when we entered said it wasn't that unusual for adults to come and do the experience too.
This is so awesome. As a new mom, it’s so cool to see inside and know that i could take my kiddo once she’s around at least 3/4 and we’d have a good time. Also loved that there wasn’t any footage of the kids, thanks for protecting their privacy!
I love the one in Easton, PA. I took my daughter several times when she was younger and my nephew loves it there. I found that we enjoyed it more as my daughter got older as when she was young she would run through everything but as she got older she would sit and do everything. I always recommend going on a fay where it would be perfect for outdoor activities as the it isn't as crowded but dont go on a rainy weekend especially during the summer because it is just tok crowded.
Hi Chloe! Just wanted to say thanks for making the videos that you do! I’ve been watching you for a couple of years now, and watching you create such amazing art has made me want to reach your high level. You have also inspired me as an artist to make my own art channel! Keep doing what you’re doing :)
We went to the Easton PA location when my daughter was eleven. We had a fun time. I think I did more of the activities than she did. We filled up a crayon tin and she never used them because she doesn't want to ruin them. It is a core memory for her. She will be going to Art College in the fall!
I went to the one at Mall of America and while I didn’t go through the actual experience I went to the gift shop and I went to that crayon/marker wall and I chose that vintage tin and I filled it with BOTH crayons and markers (one of each) and when we went to the checkout they didn’t even question it. And they all fit perfectly!
I'm glad to see this place is still pretty legit. My husband and I watched this, we are having our first child in the next two months and we both were hopeful this was still fun since it was a core memory for me as a child and we'd love to bring our son there when he's a little older. We both love art and would absolutely be drawing with our kids.
Also, my husband and I legitimately bought Crayola bedding for our bedroom because they made a bed set in my favorite color, cerulean. However, we bought a bigger bed and we're disappointed to find out that they don't make king sized bedding for the Crayola bedding sets. I ended up dyeing sheets to the correct color 😅 The fact is, Crayola art supplies are reasonably good for a kid's first art supplies and the quality lasts well. I still have the last colored pencils I bought back in either middle or high school (my mom gave them to me still in my pencil case) and they are still vibrant and useable.
I customized a Scribble Scrubbie cat a few years ago and have a video on my channel about it. I used paint pens and made a little jeweled collar for it. The biggest crayon should meet King Candle, Yankee Candle’s giant candle at their Deerfield, MA flagship store (you can also dip your own candles, make a wax sculpture of your hand, and they have a Christmas village inside which I love. It’s one of my favorite places to visit. Also, I had some small churros at Golden Corral yesterday, haha. It was the first time I saw them there (not that I go much). I was a bit bummed that I didn’t see any hush puppies though. If I ever went to the Crayola Experience since I don’t have children, I would bring one of my American Girl dolls and take photos of her doing the different activities. Many adults are kids at heart 😊.
I went to this location around when it first opened because I lived only about an hour away from Orlando. As a kid, this place was so much fun and exciting.
For rides and roller coasters I disagree with you, there definitely should be a ticket for people that don't go on rides. The park near our home was doing that before, and it was great because my mom could accompany us, without paying the full price ticket, since she didn't go on rides, but could still enjoy the day with us. Now the park doesn't offer that anymore, and that's really a shame.
Exactly like if a parent or pregnant person doesn’t or can’t go on rides why do they pay admission too? They’re not doing anything that would cost money, they’re only spending money. Isn’t that what they want?
@@KendallM0219 That's exactly what I mean! Or at least a smaller ticket fee! BAck then it was called a "walking ticket" so you can enter the place, but not go on rides. It was great!
I think she did agree that a second ticket option would be a good idea (wristbands) just not on the expectation of getting in for free that some of the adults reviewing seemed to have
We’ve been a few times and we’ve loved it every time. Even my grandmother enjoyed herself has much as my kid and teen. I live in TN and am excited Gatlinburg is getting one!
I worked with a client a few years back and we went to the Crayola Experience at MOA at least once a month. There was a LOT to do there, and the kid had a lot of fun! Absolutely loved the playground there and playing with the modeling clay, and there was plenty for the adults to do. The issue with parents being like "there's nothing for the adults to do" really mean "there isn't a place **I** can go while the staff watch my kids for me"
We went about 8 years ago on a trip to Orlando, we all really enjoyed it. 3 generations all joined in playing :) I think if you’re going somewhere like that with your children you’re going to join in playing with them, that’s part of the fun.
I'm actually from Easton, PA where the one "experience" is and also one of the factories that make the actual products! It looks cooler than when I used to go but that was many moons ago. Loved the video, gave me some nostalgia for home since I dont live there anymore! TIL there's more than one Crayola Experience in the country 😅 sincerely though Easton was the only one
Oh, I've been here! With my family as a 20- something year old adult, ha. Sadly it was incredibly crowded the day I went so I didn't do any of the extras, but even still I had a lot of fun! Not sure if I'd want to ever go back, but it was definitely a good experience and I'm glad to see you had a good time. I was worried it would be a video trashing this place, and I don't think it deserves it. I was not expecting much from it, but it was a fairly good time.
Next time come to Easton, PA! 😊 I live 20 minutes drive from Easton and my husband works next to the plant where they make the crayons (where they also have a gift shop)! We have a Crayola Experience AND you’d get to see where the original building still stands today! 😊 This is the real historical part of Crayola here if that interests you, plus we have the plant and a Crayola Experience! Unfortunately, the plant gift shop is only open to employees (and I think they can bring in a guest), but I’m sure I can find someone I know who works there. They’re one of the places around here that pays well, someone I know has a friend or family member that works there. Everyone does 😂 I could get you into the gift shop so you could shop till you drop and believe me, you would! My husband gets a pass from his company to go every now and again and he takes me shopping. We overspend way too much 😂
My husband and I took our preschool aged nieces, and they loved it!! Their favorites were the little "draw on the walls" neighborhood and the scribbles
This place is the epitome of nostalgia for me. I went once to the Easton location when I was 5-6 and I loved it. My parents then used it to make the 8 hour trip to see family easier, so we went every year until I was maybe 10-11
17:58 I agree on what your saying like a pumpkin patch that is near my house does this like you could get on for free to get pumpkins but you don’t get the wristband to participate in activities they have but if you pay you get the wristband and the activities i like that they have that and more amusement parks should do this if they just want to enjoy the view or just watch their kids.
Thank you for this review! It was so helpful as there isn’t much information about the experience that are positive or this in depth. I’m now looking forward to going.
In Ireland we have a theme park where kids under a certain age go free into the designated "kid zone" and have a wristband that denotes that, so really only the parents have to pay for a full price ticket and I think thats the fairest option. The parents are more than likely just going to sit while the kids go on rides, but a fee has been taken to accommodate it and if they WANTED to go on any rides, or accompany a kid on one, they can.
Me, my mom, and brother went to the crayola experience in Orlando. My dad waited outside. We thought we were there for a couple minutes maybe an hour. It was a couple hours. So much to do especially for creative people.
Knoebles in Pa lets you in free. It's been around for ages and so nostalgic. You pay for ride packages so Grandma and Grampa or people who don't enjoy rides can be with you and enjoy the park. It's beautiful there. Has a campground, too. ❤ brings me back to my childhood days 🥲
Season pass member here! I bought year passes this year and it’s totally worth it. I wish I converted my ticket to membership on my first visit. The upgrade cost is low considering membership benefits. For one year you get unlimited visits, member only scrubby buddy, 20% off at gift shop. Heck I bought a green crayon popcorn bucket for like 6 bucks and as a member my refills are like a dollar. We’ve been here 10+ times and can still easily spend an hour chilling and creating art together. It’s a 10 out of 10 for me.
Fun fact you can usually buy extra tokens, and you can put whatever you want on the crayon as long as it’s not a swear word. I was really into supernatural at the time the TV show, so when we went we bought extra tokens and made an entire set of crayons with supernatural names. We had to do some improvising for some of the names, but it’s definitely our favorite souvenir from the trip!
My elementary school took us on a field trip here in PA! I remember most of the stations and back in second grade like, 2006? Something like that- They gave out three tokens. There was also an exhibit on waterways and canals since it was Easton PA a lot of the surrounding towns relied on canals. It was actually really fun and this is super nostalgic 😭💜
Regarding the amusement parks, in my country we have only 1 and it used to have 2 types of paid entry fees: 1 all access and 1 you bought tickets for each of the rides. When I was about 15 years old they changed the second one so you now have free access to the park grounds but have to buy tickets for the rides, the all access pass gives you a wristband. So it definitely can be done
I only hit the gift shop when I was in town last year for the Fountain Pen Show, but now I’m going to go do the experience (as an adult with no kids)after watching this when I’m back for the pen show in September. I want a crayon with my name on it. Thanks for this video!
i grew up around 45 minutes from the original one in Easton, which was connected to the actual crayola factory. (it was also randomly connected to some history about the erie canal? idk why) i still remember the demonstrations showing how markers and crayons were made, and we got a marker fresh off the line! it was a popular birthday party place and i went a lot. i went back as an adult in around 2017 b/c i had child visitors from another country, and i still had a ton of fun!
I'm 38 and I honestly wish this was available in Sweden. I'm a child at heart and everything you showed in the video looks so much fun. Also that tin from the giftshop slayed. US seems to have so much fun stuffs. Love from Sweden!
I have a 9 year old little cousin and I would absolutely love to bring her here if we were American. I don’t get parents who want to take their kids to things like this so they don’t have to spend time with them, the reason I go places with my aunt and cousin is so I can watch my cousin have fun and have fun with her (and spend time with my aunt because she’s always been one of my best friends and I love her so much). like I’ve always been the one running after my cousin at play places and going on rides with her. I’m taking her to an amusement park at some point in the next few weeks because I love seeing her have fun and just be a kid, I can’t imagine wanting someone else to look after her in a place like this you just miss your child having fun and being happy.
Ah the memories. I remember when I was a child, there was only one location and it was just called The Crayola Factory. It also had a museum attached to it, though now that museum moved out to its own space. But good memories for sure. Granted, that was nearly 20 years ago, so it's probably very different now, but I remember my many visits back then quite fondly!
I'm from within driving distance to the Easton, PA location and I'm surprised at how different it is! It's a much more linear "museum-like" experience rather than a big open floor plan, with a focus on educational displays. It does have a lot of the same attractions though, like the custom crayon labels and drip art. There is no crayon-bot that draws your face, but! The coolest activity (imo) was a series of terminals where you could make a doodle and it would be projected into a huge scene on the wall, moving around and interacting with everyone else's doodles.
I live a couple miles from the Arizona one. I was underwhelmed by price for value. But the kids loved it, everything worked, and they each won things from the claw machine. They have wanted to go back, I think the store is the best part. My daughter (9) is an art snob, thanks TH-cam and wouldn’t deign to use crayola markers/pencils over her POSCA, Prismacolor, or Ohuhu, but I love the store.
I'm close to that Crayola experience you went too! I always wanted to go it seems like loads of fun!!! I feel likenif you like art and enjoy doing it then this place will be lots of fun. The ones writing thoes reviews are just being nit picky about it and probably don't enjoy arts and crafts as much as us😅 do they might find coloring pages boring
My best friend lived in Bethlehem, PA for several years and I made many trips out there from here in Central PA. This was back in the 90s, so it was a while ago, and I'm pretty sure at that point, Easton was the only place to get "The Crayola Experience." The tour, at that time, included walking along the assembly line on a catwalk, as I recall. There were activities and demos and freebies. I think at that time we may have gotten a box of 24 crayons. It was very low key and it shared a building with a canal museum, which we enjoyed much more, to be frank, as it was pure history and the dioramas were quite good. I know my friend and I would have enjoyed the modern day experience, but I doubt sincerely that unless we had grandchildren with us, we'd have spent almost $30 to go through. :)
I think more tokens would be an improvement as you only got 2 and there were loads of items that use them… a bunch of colors for the custom label crayons which sounds fun, I’d probably want more them one🤨; and a few other art items like the model clay. Also I’d want to know the gift shop prices ahead of time as well as the cost of any food or drink… how much should you spend on those things… yes while you could totally not eat or stop at the gift store but I think most people are there for a trip or special occasion and this activity experience won’t be made frequently or only the once. It seems fun but it’s a drawback that there are a handful of locations; also a reason why most people probably don’t have membership for it.
Oh man I wish we had one of these nearby. My kids would LOVE this. We have an art museum that doesn’t have nearly enough kid activities. They have an entire kids area but it’s not as fun as having activities.
We love the Crayola Experience. We try to go at least once a year. It’s my 6 year old daughter’s favorite place! I’m in heaven every time I go. Military gets a free annual pass. Might be others too such as police etc that would also get one. If we lived closer we’d go every week!
Just had to comment: Girl, that sage green top makes your eye color pop so beautifully!!! Also, that place would've been IT for my sisters and I when we were kids. Heck, if there were one near me now, I'd probably still go, lol.
When I used to help my friend who worked at a children’s museum as an unaccompanied adult I always had to go to a special desk and hand over my driver’s license for them to keep until I was done because they don’t trust adults who come without kids, even to help with an event 🤣 And like I understand why! But it made me feel like they thought I was a creeper! 😂
I have a godson that would enjoy this so much. I would love to be able to surprise him with a ticket.
NEED CRAYON MERCH! I'm an hour away from Orlando!
"we went during summer vacation and it was busy" that review tho...no shit??? It's a kids thing...in summer....Also the parents complaining about there not being anything for adults to do...play with your kids? interact with them? Do activities with them?
right? Like what do you expect lol 😂

I worked at a zoo, and one of our top complaints was "I have to PAY to watch my child enjoy the ZOO!?"
and I'd be like "yes sir, I do still have to charge you admission, this experience is intended for both of you "
Zoos are also one of the most all ages kids experience.
It’s crazy that parents think that they can’t enjoy themselves in an environment where their kids are going, and therefore they think they shouldn’t pay for it 😭 it’s not hard to enjoy a place like a zoo as a grown up
The zoo by my house is $2 lol no one can complain
Me and my sister would absolutely be the crazy adults furiously coloring and having a better time than the kids.
My ex used to take the piss out of me because I coloured in with his 5 year old niece when she asked.
I still do that now when I'm looking after children. I also feel they sometimes they will take a longer interest in an activity if you're doing it with them.
@@earthkat Exactly. I'm sorry your ex did that. Role modeling is so important and kids cherish it
About the 'hot' complaint, I used to work in a grocery store and they're kept quite cold to keep all the produce from going bad, but I had a couple of older ladies sweating and acting like they were dying. They complained to me that it was way too hot in there.
No one else, even us employees who were running around lifting heavy objects repeatedly, had any problems. Some people have health conditions that affect how they feel temperatures and they never seem aware that it's a *them* issue and not an *everyone* issue.
fr, I was like what are the chances it's just a bunch of people having hot flashes/don't regulate their body temperature efficiently
@@stanaccount7733 I'd say it's pretty likely. Remember when people were leaving negative reviews for scented candles during the pandemic, saying they 'had no scent'. People are surprisingly ignorant when it come to their bodies and just want to blame someone.
Yeah. And I would imagine that a facility filled with WAX crayons would be kept fairly cool. So, those negative people should check their own bodies.
Those older ladies were probably having hot flashes from menopause. lol
Hormones are a bitch

Lmao “didnt release the bears”
Probably a good thing they didn’t see any they would be the people who try to pet the bears 🙄
If I had young kids and had one of these near me, I would definitely have an annual pass. It is such a good place for kids to play and to be creative.
I totally agree the annual pass would be such a great deal if you could take them a lot!
@@ChloeRoseArtyour my best friend ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve been too afraid to go into the Crayola experience being a grown adult, but you’ve given me the courage to try it out. Thanks Chloe
If you want to, you should totally go. I live in another country that doesn't have stuff like this, so just having that opportunity is awesome
I've seen it all. Rose Art was finally put on a Crayola crayon...
HAHA
I see what you did there 😂😂😂
omg lol😂

hehe lol i get it
I stopped taking reviews really serious after I read some reviews about one of my local parks.
HAHA NO WAY 💀😭
As a 49 year old kid at heart and i have no children… i would go there for myself lol… that place looks awesome and i would have spent heaps in the gift shop.
Same lol. I am 40 and still love crayons
I have a photo taken by my mum of a beaming 6 year old me with my new crayons.
it brought me back too! we had a vintage tin growing up, same design but circular, and it’s so prominent in my memories of childhood (:
Somewhere around 1998, I did the Crayola factory tour. All I remember is a big plexiglass case with a crayon dispenser inside so you could pick a free crayon to take home... So pretty underwhelming even then I guess. I did get a fun coloring PC program though at the gift shop 😂
somewhere around like 2014-2016 i went to the jelly belly factory and got tons of candy afterwords 😂
All the one star reviews sound like Karens not getting their way and blaming the park for ridiculous stuff like the weather and crowds
As someone who works for an arcade, we get these exact same type of customers. That's exactly right😭😭
I live next to Cedar point. You can literally sit on my back deck and watch CP traffic leave or arrive. I frequently see reviews from people from out of state or even on youtube complain about rides being down during the bad weather. Lightening and roller coasters don’t mix. And they can’t control the weather.
Exactly lol 😂🤣💀
Ah yes, let’s use a woman’s name as an insult
Seeing RoseArt on a Crayola was a great experience for me
I was there almost 2 years ago.
They still sell midnight blue
I grew up in the 80s-90s there, I remember too! My mom still lives near the circle to this day...
Yes, me as well. I have so many great memories of going there!
@suedefringe yes! Back in the day I did, anyway, roght next to the Purple Cow Creamery. Not sure if it is still there or if it moved
Holy crap, I've been trying to figure this out for years! Did the Eerie Canal museum have mannequins or something? I must have visited in the late 2000s or very early 2010a
I think it's annoying that people complain when things like this aren't free. Let's be real. This is a super famous company that isn't going bankrupt any time soon, but that said...they have to pay for:
building/location
taxes
product
staff
insurance
machines
Plus, there are probably other things I'm not even thinking of.
Don't forget utilities like electricity, plumbing, internet, software to run the place.
Also they get to do all the activities that kids can, it's not like they pay just to watch
Glad you had a great time!
the fact that your car looked like lighting mc queen is honestly super cool!

AND standing in a line outside in 105* for 3-5 hours for one ride, definitely isn’t! We had a Condo in CoCo Beach and every summer when we were there, we’d take our 3 girls to one of the parks.
I agree. What a delightful breath of fresh air 😎
This just makes me want to go to the experience in my state. Like I’ve noticed with reviews they are either really good or really bad. There is no in between.
I love how honest and real this review is and even as an adult this looks like a lot of fun!!
yes!! Theres literally no in between just really god or really bad or people being totally unfair haha
I went to the Orlando one about a month ago! It was so fun I would LOVE to go again ❤❤❤

I ended up dyeing sheets to the correct color 😅
The fact is, Crayola art supplies are reasonably good for a kid's first art supplies and the quality lasts well.
I had NO CLUE places like this existed 😮
Childless 23YO Me: 👁👄👁
I'll color there all day 😂
I’m 26 turning 27 and same! lol 😂
exactly same
For rides and roller coasters I disagree with you, there definitely should be a ticket for people that don't go on rides.
Because you are going to immediately have people who buy the cheaper ticket and then try to go on the rides anyway.
@@kristie9144 yeah but with a bracelet it's a pretty easy fix. And many people that can enjoy the day with their family without going on rides
Show us what you purchased!! And I thought this looked so fun!!! Now I wanna go!
I have 2 kids: 1 preteen and toddler. We have fun going at least once a month to get out of the heat and have some fun. We all love it.
You and me both. I also did not know there was more than one now!
The one in Easton is awesome. It’s not for parents looking to have a place to drink and the kids will be kept busy, it’s for involved parents.
I'm crying at the bear you won in the crane game lol
We went to the PA one many times when my kids are younger-it’s close to an all-day experience. They always loved it.
I really want to go to this place now! A whole place just for art supplies and having fun activities?? Yes please!! ❤️ 🖍🖌🎨
I live a couple hours away from a crayons experience. I never realized there was more than one!
My kids would have absolutely loved that! All the colours and play areas. After a day there they would pass out on the way home lol.
Fun! I'm guessing that the experience varies by location--and, naturally, by one's perspective.
Whatttt I still have my spin art from years ago !
For Orlando Fl, a MASSIVE tourism hub, this place is actually super reasonably priced.
I went to the Crayola experience in Pennsylvania when I was 12 and I enjoyed it soo much, as an artist, I drew any opportunity I had.
Such a kind of experience arround colored pencils and I would be excited for.
As a creative adult,I'd love this and so would my mom, just so much art stuff!!!
I went with my niece and nephew when they were younger with a friend and my aunt. We had a lot of fun…we had no problems sitting down coloring
