I have an eye condition and because of it, great headlights, interior lights, good view from inside the vehicle, etc. really help a lot. I’ve been looking at this vehicle, in this trim specifically but was wondering if someone would load up a night drive so I can get an idea of how the lights work and the illumination. So I wanted to say, I really appreciate the video for giving me this point of view and letting me see how well these lights shine up the road! Thanks!!
Touch screens are good for connecting your phone etc. The wheel is clicky easy access to the shit you need while driving. Once used becomes a nice tactile access point to the drivers lean. Aka the Ram The touch is the storages engines of personnel data aka the ROM
Thanks for this video. We’ve had three Mazdas in the last decade, ambient lighting in any of them would have been nice. Kids called them caves inside at night as our others cars all had extensive ambient lighting.
this doesn’t have them? It definitely looks like they have it in the video. Not only did the brights turn on at 6:08, but they definitely seem to curve with the vehicles motion as well.
How does this vehicle feel with only 187 hp? I would think it'd be kinda sluggish---not terrible, but you're not going anywhere in a hurry. My wife's '22 CR-V has 192 hp, and it picks up pretty well.
I really like this, BUT I hate where the front turn signals are, they behind with the headlights. Mazda needs to move the screen closer, I know they don't want you using it but where are in a world of touch screens, not dials.. However I will give credit where it is due and their headlights are award winning.
Cx50 less expensive trims are arriving at dealerships now. Mazda is making the trims it wants for now. Not dealer specified orders. Hence the plethora of Carbine gray/black, Machine gray/black and Soul red/black combos. I call them RENTAL SPECIALS ON THE LOWER TRIMS. MAZDA PREMIUM?
The Cx30 I have to click parking brake. Cx50? Mazda said it's a software design. What's the deal Mazda, and who at Mazda let this annoying & unsafe feature go through to production?e thnlinks Mazda is mismanaged. Ford did more for Mazda. Ford product planning and money with Mazda quality should have been a winning combo. Maybe Toyota hybrid system will help, but cheap Mazda interior fittings and Unnecessarily hard suspension set up will be Mazdas ruin. Be careful Mazda, someone inside company is a SABOTEUR!
I have a 2014 Mazda cx-5 with old style parking brake. If I want the parking brake on lift handle to engage. When you want to drive you take it off. I have used in about 3 times in 9 years. Not sure I understand the big deal unless your saying it's goes on automatically. That would be awful.
oh look, they finally added the touchscreen haha, must have been getting complaints about the scroll wheel 😄 high-quality pov showcase as always, keep 'em coming Jay!
100% correct. 2023 premium...where is the ambient lighting? I have in my 2010 Mazda 3 GT. Come on Mazda, compete stop shooting yourself in the foot with these strange & willfully decisions. Increase your warranty coverage too, since your "premium" now, hard plastic Cx50 interior aside.
Yeah I have the same engine in the cx-30, its not a rocket ship like the turbo charged one but it's very peppy definitely enough for overtaking cars, feels a little bit more than 186 imo, especially in the Mazda 3 hatch and sedan it feels faster
nice car, but the engine is a pile of junk......sky active is the same as GDI, notoriously know premature engine failure and carbon build ups... Don't buy crap. buy reliability.

I watched your other video like 40 times. Thanks for the content bro. This car is so hard to find to test drive in this trim
Appreciate it bro!!
Getting this exact model. So excited.
Definitely recommend it. Extremely reliable too!!
@@jaygtestdrives How has it been? or still waiting?
Thank you so much for sharing this video...
Machine gray is an amazing color, Imagine this vehicle with the 6 cylinder engine.
imagine this vehicle with multilink rear suspension
At the 6:00 mark why does it sound like the tires get very loud?
Just got mine 3 days ago the steering wheel is very sturdy and I’m still trying to get used to it because my previous car didn’t have it like that

Does the CX-50 have a separate high beam light or is it just built into the low beam?
how would you rate cabin noise? sometimes camera mics pick up more sound than we really even hear or pay attention to in real life.
It's actually very quiet, yes the audio recorder picks up more sound than usual but overall it's a 9 out of 10 of quiet.
how would you describe the seat comfort? It is not really cloth, maybe like a grippy cloth? Looks like it may not be the most comfortable?
no dynamic camera lanes as in the old cx5? really?? what a shame
Is the absence of adaptive headlights felt during night driving, especially around the curvy roads?
this doesn’t have them? It definitely looks like they have it in the video. Not only did the brights turn on at 6:08, but they definitely seem to curve with the vehicles motion as well.
Very well done my friend ..
how is it compared to cx-5?, handling and being sporty wise?
no fog lights?
Great video. What kind of mpg are you getting?
How does this ride against the sportage you’ve reviewed?
How do you get that screen display with the car and the digital mph?
You just change it on the steering controls
As I hit send, I literally pressed the Info button and found it. Thank you
What a handsome car ❤❤❤

It feels like it has plenty of power for everyday use and for what you really need!
Why only half of the tail lights are illuminated? The inner portion of tail lights that are part of the tailgate are not lit.
The other part of the tail lights are for the brake lights and led reverse lights
Both tail lights turn on only in the turbo models of the CX-50.
@@siamahmed425 no it doesn’t.
It sucks that they only offer the signature lighting on the turbos.
@@JB-yx9gr yea that was a real cheap move on their part, not even the premium non turbo models get the signature lighting …
As much as I love the grey color that Mazda has. It’s impossible for people to see it clearly cause my CX 5 has been hit 2x

Very cool, it's kinda like the CX-30s older and off-road brother lol
Do the headlights turn as you turn the steering wheel?
Not this one, you need to upgrade to a higher trim.
But girls don't really care about this feature though

Did you see a cx 50 select model? I haven't been able to find one
Do u still have to click on the parking brake first
No they took that off, I have a 2019 Mazda3 Hatchback Premium and I always have to do that, it gets annoying sometimes.

No ambient lightning?
No
Does it have halo lights at the front?
No you have to upgrade to the turbo trims for that
@@jaygtestdrives thanks!
Hey just did more research and only the turbo trims have adaptive headlights for 2023
@@jaygtestdrives ah dang, I was really hoping halos for the non-turbos. Appreciate your response!
it has the guideline for this trim?
No, the premium plus has it
wheres the windshield HUD?
Its on the premium plus trims
I like this car but if i can add something i will add ambiant lights and it will be perfect car
The flashers aren't even synchronized.

I believe that my wife's 2019 CX5 Touring has the touch screen.
It's only a touch screen when the car is in park. it's been this way for several years now and works just fine with the commander knob.
@@macewindu6284 I would not have it any other way.......Cannot reach touchscreen driving thru My Cities potholes....Paul
I don't want a touchscreen.
I get in my friends cars with a touchscreen it looks like they ate a bucket of KFC and touched the screen...
Car needs ambient lighting and 2ndly that screen is too far for one to reach but exterior looks good

Have you done a cx-5 review yet?
Yes I drove the 2021 CX-5 Grand Touring about 9 months ago its on my videos, check it out if you want.
Turn signal near the bottom of the car? Yea thats not a wise placement
Almost like a bmw chime
Review at nite? 🧐
I do both night and day
😍🥰🤩❤💞
Mazda reserving the day time halos and other tailgate light for only the turbo models was such a cheap move smh
Video is too dark. I can't see anything.
If I bump up the lighting on night videos it gets grainy, try watching it in a dark room
