This one video makes me realize why your family and projects are so appealing. Smartalecky kids and then to realize they come by it honestly and get it from their parents!! Ashley breaking the fourth wall and talking directly to her Dad means she still harkens to his advice. I still call mine up and talk over the most mundane steps to the projects I'm currently working on- had never thought to video all of it for him until now. Thanks for that inspiration Ash! Love the problem solving, synergy and play that your whole family experiences with the critters clearly being a part of the activities.
As a midwesterner I’m jealous of how little snow you have and how fast it goes away. *grumbles as he heads outside to fix his car* ;-)
That is so 80s when he said ride off the ramp!! Because we used to build ramps and ride our bikes or skateboards off of them!!! Such a classic statement!!❤❤❤
I love the way you play, work and irritate each other. It’s so family!!! You are so cool!
How exciting to see Adali’s tinyest home 😊
That was a joy to watch!! You guys work so well together that even when play happens you still get things done. Laughter is good medicine!! Those skinny hairless dogs are a hoot! Love the body slam, never saw dogs do that before! And of course Kitty, the building inspector was on the job! Thank you for including us in your work and your fun. Love you guys!!
Making progress have a good week and count your blessings amen.
Robots love watching humans work like robots! Love it so much keep it up as always 💘
Ashley, you are such a beautiful mom, wife, and all-around human being❤. You exhibit such patience. Know I've worked projects with my kids and wanted to just cry. Kids humor when critical thinking in the midst of hard work is challenging. I just want to commend you for taking their comments and joking around like an amazing pro that you are. Keep kicking butt!! We all are rooting for you. You work so hard and it doesn't go unnoticed. ❤🥰
Love how much fun your family has together! Super informative as well - taking lots of notes!!!
8:36 while looking for a 🦖, I spotted an igloo! 😂 The ramp is pretty awesome, and I hope you all have an awesome weekend! ❤
Ashley, you inspired me to request a circular saw for Christmas that was sized for my hands. thank you!
Y'all have the best background music on your channel! I really enjoy so many of your choices. _Shazam_ gets a workout! 😊
love it when you show the animals!! more goats and chickens please 🤪🥰
I just watched a mans weather report for the USA. You are about to get worse than normal cold that is going to affect a lot of areas. His report then went on to advise that you are going to get this extreme cold blast again at the end of the month. Be safe folks
Wow! Loved that video...especially that last part...funky song, snow, dogs, so much fun! Ya'll rock!😊
oh my if everyone is a teenager, that’s a lot! a lot of fun and joy, snark and exhaustion. this was fun for us to share a moment of excellent parenting.
It’s a whole lot of fun:)
Snow! We got dumped on last night...The ramp looks really sturdy :D
I’ve been following you guys forever and I feel like your family. Ashly I adore you and your man looks mighty fine in that hat.
Great music energy 😊
More bags on bags on bags. Keep it up y'all.
Omg that cutoff tool/grinder is such a good idea to cut that hardware cloth!
Jonathan was having all together too much fun running that full wheelbarrow up and down the ramp!😂 And why, may I ask, do you have ❄️snow? Please🙏 send it to Central Minnesota as we have a severe snow ❄️shortage! And, yes! I like to shovel❄️ snow!☃️💕🐑🦌📚🫖🐈⬛
Hasn’t it become sad how on every TH-cam channel we watch you good people have to explain yourself because you know the comments are coming 😉…sign of the times …..love the channel by the way ..I just love watching myself ….from Outback Western Australia….we’re it’s a balmy 44 degrees C today …a tad warm …
Incredible video - WOW ! Unbelievable content what a religious experience watching what you are doing
Great job Ashley that works amazing!
Playing tire, it'll stay up better with some rolling momentum. Nice ramp design Asley. As Jax and Ada demonstrate that insanity is hereditary, you get it from your kids! Adali took her turn! Is this "For the Content?" I like the BS! Jax, rolling the tire up the ramp was so close! Cool, you did it Jax! That ramp works perfect! Great job Ashley! Snow! Doodles in the snow. Was that Trona or Cloud joining in? Thanks for this video Longnecker family!
Good morning hope you guys have a wonderful day out there so I guess go to the next project I guess have a great day and have fun out there
The ramp is brilliant!🎉
Nice sneak peek of the tiny shiny dome!!!!
Nice...you guys got the smarts... making me giggles every time I click in.
Fun episode, playful family. You gave those Dewalts a workout! The rave like electronic music ramped it up a bit too 😉.
❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
Great ramps , and smart kids! ❣️❣️❣️
man! filling in the fill dirt looked fun, and I loved that last song:)
Y’all are such a joy to watch!
The ornery bug bit today😂😂😂
Beautiful snowfall!!
I was wondering if you got snow. I hope the ramp works out. You all having fun. ❤
Nice ramp guys. Way to go!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
If I were younger and in better health, I’d sure be out there to help you with your home! Really enjoy and appreciate your hard work! Just found out that I had been unsubscribed! Fixed that!
Oh kids! nice progress. Wondered if zip tieing the hardware cloths together would make it easier to back fill. No slipping.
I love that you all have so much fun while you're working! :)
Wow! Excellent video. Great music!! One, if not the best homesteading channels I watch. Funny, just awesome!!
I love your music selections. 🎉
WOW - incredible video - unbelievable content - Albuquerque New Mexico
5,634 elevation
Smartalecky, sarcastic kids; I raised 4 of them and have no idea where it comes from 🤷♀️😂
I agree, everyone should have a ramp, our dog would love one to help her escape her run, with a running start she could easily fly over the top. I really enjoy watching your family work together, your home is going to be something special.
That's a good idea to build the ramps and they are truly a very well engineered piece of technology 😊
Cool. Snow in the desert!
Love your family. ❤❤You work great together. Are you going to finish the inside walls first, then not have so many barriers? Or leave an access point so no more ramps are required? I'm sure you have it all figured out, but i can't grasp it yet. You have a super houeplan! I cant wait to see the kitchen you've planned! ❤❤❤
All the walls have to be built at the same time since where they intersect have to interlock kind of like lincoln logs. But the whole idea behind the ramps is we're installing them where door frames will be so we can keep them there.
@@TinyShinyHome I had the same questions. It makes total sense now! I was thinking the ramps would just have to get taller and taller! Good thing I am not helping you!
Nice ramp!!!😊🎉❤
Ashley you are super Amazing, love how your ideas and I’m sure Jonathan is an inspiration to you and that person to encourage you to “just do it”
Clever idea, you will have to either make a new one or adjust that one effort the layer after. But something tells me with that snow you will be having some time off for a while. We have snow coming too it was coming on the 16 January my Birthday but now moved over a few days later,,does not look like much though.Good job as the U.K. comes to a standstill ,we tend to panic lol! We used to have really bad winters here where I live now!but recently we get fewer snow falls and they go as fast as they come..They do look so pretty .Your fur babies were having fun in it,amazing how excited they get over the silliest of things…Love n Hugs to you all I am sure you will all have a bit of fun in the snow..You have to don’t you lol!🥰
Nah we just had to wait a day for it to melt, already back to it :) The ramp is built to go over the floor level wall (4 bags) and the door frame so it will be permanently installed. We'll actually have 3 ramps total to get to different walls.
Hi Christine, i was reading your comment and thought….wait….WE, the viewers get excited over backfill and a homemade bridge. And I laughed. Greetings from Australia.
A really fun video ...well done and thanks
😂 got to say personality plus, beautiful, intelligent and fun.. you're mirrors to each other ❤️ It's obvious🤍 why your family is so peaceful and free. So blessed Ash, Johnathan and family, loving ❣️ your incredible adventures called life ❤😊 so excited to see your journey building your home.🎉
Cardboard boxes, tyres and bits of wood.. who needs computers and tiktok!! I miss the 90s!!
Great work
For your soil and bag compaction, two words...
Plate compactor.
Fast and nearly effortless. Your shoulders will thank you.
Love this video!
Work thats FUN.... luv it
Another good vid..Cheers🐨
Your cat's moustache gives it a Hercule Poirot look. He is a detective cat, I can tell! Lol
Btw, good work on the ramp!
And don't worry about explaining too much. That's always interesting.
Oh! You got snow! Didn't know it ever snowed down there. Must be pretty rare.
Here where I live the snow has less than usual until à few days ago. It's starting to be more like "normal" now. The temp has been pretty mild too.
Da da da dang your kids are turning into TEENAGERS!!!!! Mine did that too... so rebellious!!!
Nice ramp!!!
Oh, burrrrrr. Snow ❄️
Man! That's the start of a good skate ramp. Add about 20 ft of runway and a quarter pipe and those guys could be skating!
Nice sturdy ramp that will serve you well. As usual, you got more snow there than at my place, but at least we don't have to shovel it
Here’s a fun thought, build kitty a half spiral staircase around the dome home to the top. And maybe build cat walks up high around the inside of the new home, what fun. I made one short one for my kittys. ☮️
We did build a staircase around the dome...
I've been watching you guys for a long time it's going to take you 4 years to complete your house
we dont think so
That looks like a good way to do it.
Switched to 60V DeWalt tools and that low power thing is now a thing of the past.
The DOME!!! 😱😍
Holy crap you got snow too.
😊TY for the VIDEO ❤ PEACE
If your blade is not cutting ideally, make multiple passes, starting with a shallower depth and creeping up on the thru cut. I have a nice plywood blade for my circular saw, but I found it wants to bend and wander when I cut 3/4 plywood., but if I cut a quarter at a time it makes a much nicer final cut.
Also, rather than calling that a ramp, I'd call it a bridge, which sounds a lot more engineery.
💙🇺🇲 The ramp is perfect, what a great job you guys did. 🥰👏👏👏👏🤠😁💜😊💜😁 ps - love your music selections!
A lot of hard work, but it looks great. It looks like you all are having a lot of fun doing it. Did my Texas you all come through?
Yeah!!!!!
Last year I need this information, was in a wheelchair post op and ramps are expensive and crappie!
Im considering dewalt for my upcoming tool purchases after seeing this. I sure wish they would sponsor you tubers I like so that I can hear a bit more about them before I decide.
id switch to Milwaukee in a heartbeat.
Its like building with a Committee 😂
That's a steep ramp for pushing loads up and following down. Consider dropping a couple wheelbarrows of fill at each end of the ramp to break the slope.
we tested it. it's fine :)
Man! That pencil pocket 🖊️
Kids, listen to your mother. There are times you need a ramp lol
save the ramps. when you are done with the house, you can use them for vehical maintainance. love the animals, but where has t-rex gone?
awesome builds, im new here do they have a video teaching how they do the hiperadobe? =D
th-cam.com/video/0GTgNmSmzms/w-d-xo.html
❄️❄️❄️!!! 😀😀😀
Are the ramps as wide as the door frames? If so you can use them as the base of the door frame and put them where the doors will go. Then can stay in place as long as you need them. As long as the height beneath them is right for the door.
Yes they're built to go over the door frames and will fit inside no problem. So we'll have to take them out one or two more times to add the 4th layer and door frame and then they should stay in place the rest of the build.
One reason I like y'alls channel, you are doing this with intelligence and demonstrating it effectively. I watch a lot of similar channels and none of them show the process in as intelligent and entertaining way. Thanks for the efforts.
Everyone needs a kid to tell them when they get it wrong no? 😁
So, AB mix is WHAT again & why do you have to buy it when you dug for the chicken garden? What is the difference in the mixes & why did you have to make it? You were using purchased AB mix and dug up around the site AB mix. I’m super confused. Am I the only one? 🤷🏻♀️
Had it left over from the foundation house pad, used it in some bags and it is like 100x better because of the ratio (30/30/30 clay, rock sand). Rock solid and walkable immediately after tamping where as our native soil you had to stay off 24 hrs.
❤
Where do you find the big rolls of hardware cloth? I’m in Cochise county too. I’ve just started a little project and have already done the bottom 2 rows of only gravel. Now I’m worrying about the rats. It’s just a little greenhouse space but still I’m putting some cob and window walls on the gravel bag foundation. I was going to cover with stabilized cob on the outside or butt up tin next to it. Next project I’ll use the hardware cloth. Thanks for teaching and inspiring us all.
We just got some off Amazon.
Thank you.
🎉
Hello 👋 ❤❤❤❤❤❤
How about that snow? I wonder how often you get snow? My guess is that you may not even get one snowfall a year?
Just depends on the winter. Usually at least one or two good ones.
Jus wondering are you guys driving your truck over these ramps..kinda super sturdy for a wheel barrel...lol..jk..do ur thing..luv the vlogs..keep em coming
umm, our truck would crush these, for sure
And you could make it a bridge in a garden
How many courses will you have in total? Also how many dogs do y’all have? Sometimes I think I see 4 !,
4 dogs: th-cam.com/video/ku7b4jZFGl8/w-d-xo.html
💖💛💖💛
The kids can jump their bikes off the ramp later👍
oh boy.
i still get totally confused by this feet and inch measurements😢
