Girl you deserve two refrigerators! The morning skies were amazing. I love the southwest and the high dessert! Great roasted salsa recipe on one of your other vlogs. Did it a couple days ago and the homestead loved it! I think I will have to say hyperadobe is a bit more flexible than superadobe. less need for barbed wire and it lasts so long if exposed. Love the vlogs!!!!!!! Many blessings!

So bummed that I can’t get to workshops like this! Curiosity question - could you do hyperadobe for the walls then super adobe for the dome? I’m curious if you could do the transition with barbed wire in the hyperadobe bags.
Have definitely thought about this. Hyperadobe is so new there's just not much info out there. Hope to try it one day ourselves.

A question on the door set up. I see that you are bringing a long layer around to the door frame and then, adding a smaller bag to the side of the door. Is it possible to continue the longer bag right around? In other words, put a bend in the longer bag and continue that to the front of the door rather than use the shorter bag.... If that makes sense?
No you have to intersect buttresses
In summer or winter weather will it make the fridge compressor work harder than usual?
Probably, but have been using our freezer for a couple of years and still working fine.
I have a question.. why do you twist the barbed wire before you push spikes into the bag. ... Looking good darlings.....😊

Thanks Tiny Shiny. I've only seen two hyper-adobe domes online. What is it that makes hyper-adobe domes harder to build than super-adobe?
Haven't really seen any successful ones...they collapse. Could be they just weren't designed or built right, but also the hyperadobe bags are much stretchier and the barbed wire wouldn't really hold them the same.
@@TinyShinyHome Thank you. I could see the stretchiness causing a lot of bag sag as you stepped in the rows of the dome. Maybe a form could be held against the tube from the inside of the dome while it's being tamped. Similar to the way you showed using two tamps on the buttress bags, one on the side and one to tamp.
There is one short video of a hyperadobe dome build on YT from a channel named Sochlya. I don't know if the domes are still in-tacked though. I would drop the link but YT doesn't like that and would most likely X the comment.

Correct posture on that tamping will save your back. Straight up and down or you're going to jack up your back. Ergonomics is my specialty otherwise I wouldn't say anything. Save yourself some pain and learn correct movement techniques now. I cringe when I see people twisting. their back throwing a big rock, too.
I guess the cameras must not have done the colors justice...
