So consider the rough keyboard categories : 1- digital grand pianos 2- digital portable pianos 3- digital portable grands (DGX) 4- synthesizers 5- arranger workstations like Tyros, Genos 6- all purpose pro devices like PSR-SX900 7- all purpose beginners / amateurs like PSR-EW463 And consider the following use scenerios : 1- Classical Concert Live (pro) 2- Pop Rock R&B Jazz Concert Live (pro) 3- Live entertainment in Weddings, Clubs and Parties 4- Studio Recording for an album of any genre 5- Music Composition 6- Music Teaching and Learning 7- Home entertainment Now can someone point me which devices best fit into which categories from each brand ?

Me, *NO!* It probably does not fullfill capabilities for Yamaha Musicsoft G1 MIDI. Maybe fell down to XT4 unfortunately. Genos is worth it. But Genos is too expensive! I know! But you got what you pay for, unfortunately.
If one knows how to play can olay on anyboard doesnot matter the board at all , more u spent more , they will get more and more like montage or Roland fantom F8
Sigh, is it really that hard or expensive to implement SA2 voices i mean they have been around forever i highly doubt it would be an issue. And they can't add revo druns but can add the SW vocals stuff which....uses the same programming technique. Lol just sayin
Also add the CFX! They are still using the same CF3S sample from 2002. The SX series (especially the SX700) has a lot of missing voices like the CFX, new guitars, and new saxophones that's found in the Tyros 5 and Genos. And the price ratio to content is expensive. Their synthesizer keyboards like the Montage (3000$) and the MODX (1299$) has the same sounds with different prices. Why Yamaha can't do the same thing in their arranger keyboards? They should make an update and add more voices in the SX series.
Very cool let’s say we load a style in each of the keyboards both styles will use the same voices and effects let’s see witch keyboard it will sound better on. I guess the Genos 👍
I've listened to the same styles in the Tyros 5 compared to the SX900, and was impressed by the resampling of the voices in the styles. Depending on what you want to do, the styles on the Genos and the SX900 should sound about the same.However, the fact that the SX900 has built in high quality speakers should seriously be a great help to a gigging musician who lacks labor hands in setup time. Certainly the Genos is a much more powerful tool, especially since the OS upgrade came out. If you have the cash, buy the Genos, otherwise buy the SX900. I'd love to have the Genos, but it won't fit in my car, and the SX900 is an impressive upgrade over my S770. I'm going to get the SX900, probably before Christmas.
Am Having a problem taking MP3 off the internet loading it to my USB stick . When I do this , I first convert the MP3 to WAV files. However when I insert the USB stick in the PSR SX900 the songs do not show up?? Have you had this problem?? what am I doing wrong ??
It's not the same price point .... It is never going to provide the same features....it will kill Geno's on manual ergonomics and portability alone...imagine Yamaha don't want to dint Geno's sales ... Good try
Sorry I want to say something about styles of yamaha keyboard. Actually all the styles music of yamaha are not satisfactory according the indian songs. We required a very suitable style but after the search actually I feel bad there are some music which are totly useless and the numbers are increased for the attraction to give a message to the purchaser. I have 2 yamaha keyboard one psre 343. And next I455 but unsatisfied. I m planning to purchase this time a new casio. Then I will compare it.

Geno's also has 9 sliders with dedicated LCDs. I was going to wait to upgrade my Tyros 5 to Genos 2, but Genos is so pretty!

Sw was a typo I didn’t catch, I was referring to how the new drums use wave recycling, the same as the choir vocals like sho bee do ba. Lol
