Is logitech G25 worth it in 2024 , did i make a mistake? Is it still worth it in simulation games?

- I bought Logitech G25 used on internet, waste of money or good racing wheel on setup simulation games? G25 is released on 2006 and it contains, wheel, pedals with clutch and shifter. Logitech G25 is previous model of the 2010 released G27.
Working with windows 10
Its components are:
A wheel:
270 mm, leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Range of rotation adjustable up to 900 degrees.
2 force feedback motors.
Only one set of gears between motors and wheel, including an anti-backlash design.
2 paddleshifters.
2 buttons.
A set of stainless steel pedals, including:
Accelerator. (light spring)
Brake (heavy spring)
Clutch. (medium spring)
A carpet grip which keeps the pedals in position while playing.
A shifter unit:
8 buttons.
1 D-pad.
A leather knob/metal rod gear stick with a 6-speed H-pattern. Reverse is selected by pressing down and changing to 6th.
A switch to change the gear stick to a sequential up-down mode.

i got two of the G25 wheels at the thrift stores for $25 a piece :D great for modding too, the pedals can be removed from the plastic and mounted on a better platform. and the shiftier can be modded as well.
I'm getting one for $25 with an aftermarket wheel on it. For $25 how can you go wrong? I have a t150 I got for $60 but now shifter. The shifter in the main reason I'm getting it. Becuase the wheel is aftermarket I don't know if I'm getting a g25 or g27. The guy doesn't know what one it is because it was in the attic and even if the wheel doesn't work I feel like it's worth it for the shifter and pedals even if I have to get cable adapters
@@BallMcSack listen to the noise, if it is loud then it is a g25, if it is kuiet, then it is a g27

It's so quiet, my G25 is WAY louder, granted i have been using it for a very long time and i know the plastic casing for the FFB (inside the wheel) is cracked, and it's not like i can just replace it.
Did replace the plastic encoding wheel with a metal one though, it had cracked by itself just sitting there not being used for a few months, wheel went absolutely nuts until it was eventually unable to calibrate, just a head up since the plastic is old even if the wheel is in good condition.
I STILL use mine from 2007 and it still runs great, I use it hard at times on Assetto Corsa and I keep up with my other racing buddies with newer wheels. I'm not a fan of how loud it is due to the non helical gears.

i have a g27 and no overheating problems, if your wheel has, then maybe its too hot or theres some problem in it@@zutil

im finna get it its 200 dollars in my country but everything else is super expensive idk why my country is like this man the g29 is like 300 to 400 dollars thats trough the roof man anyway im just looking for good wheel and good reliability
No mistakes were made my good sir.... although its mostly customizable to wheel swap.. otherwise. youll be fine my guy

@@insertnamehere3007 It depends are that old motor matters. I understand if you are playing racing simulators, for American truck simulator, Ets2 and beamng it works fine!
90$ for that setup is not stupidly priced, my opinion.

They're both pretty bulletproof in terms of reliability. If you begin modding them, then reliability goes out the window

I've had the G25 for 16 years, and I often use it today to play F1 2018, F1 22 , rFactor 2, Dakar Desert Rally, Assetto Corsa Competizionne... and I've never had any breakdowns, it does its job very well. This is a steering wheel that's built to last, so if you find one in good condition that's lasted this long, it'll last a long time.
If I had one thing to reproach it, it's the absence of buttons on the steering wheel (only 2), all the buttons are on the gearshift block, which in racing can sometimes pose a few minor ergonomic problems, but with practice it's not really a problem.
Has anyone used the G25 or G27 on a PS3 in 2021 or 2022, not sure if you need to download anything to the wheels.
PS3 is plug and play, pc you need software

How to mod the torque and why ?
How is the noise level? My mother lives next to my room and she's a bit sensitive to noises is it loud?
Depending game, if you play games like wrc or beamng at night, then in your case it's probably make too much noise. ATS and ETS2, no problem👍

Haven't done yet, i am using windows 10. As long wheel works, i am not upgrading 😃

Get a Drive hub from collective minds, you can get one for about $100 or so. It will let any wheel work on any system.
My g25 works perfectly on my ps4.

Yes, but test it first, look if you get the whole pack, check its shape, it is worth it it has straight gears that give it the most ffb this is why it is loud.

its good, because the FRICKIN SHIFTER IS MUCH BETTER THAN THE G27 AND THE G29/G920/G923
