Rick After watching this Tech Tuesday and learning of the throttle control from Solerengineering , I bought this item . Received it today and installed it in my C8 coupe. I have to say that it exceeded my expectations. I’ve set mine to SPORT 9 . The acceleration is unbelievable in this setting and I tested the throttle lock to prevent theft and indeed it stopped the use of the gas pedal. I rate this purchase at 5 STARS ⭐️. It’s like driving a whole different car. This is the best performance mode any Corvette owner can make for the money. Thanks so much for doing a feature on this amazing product.
The first time I drove my 2011 C6 Corvette I was quite frankly disappointed in how it drove. After Installing the Soler throttle controller, it WAS night and day! It made the Corvette driving experience what it should be. This is the single best mod you can do on your Corvette. Not a paid endorsement. I paid full price and I would have paid twice as much for it! What a difference...........
This is an amazing product that I easily added on my ‘21 Z51 shortly after I purchased it. In addition, Soler’s customer service is outstanding. I know of no reason why every Corvette owner should not install Soler’s products on their vehicle.
Installed both throttle body and controller in April and tracked it all Summer, as I tuned it to my liking for each track, it improved my times… good product… I would fully recommend it.
I have been debating this for months. Joe’s explanation on why just moving the throttle more is not the same one me over. Got mine on order. 😊 Thanks Joe!! And thanks Rick for putting this on.
Rick: Thanks for getting this out to all of us and a special thanks to Joe for providing an excellent explanation of how this actually works. Looking forward to the throttle response and more security. The 5% off was appreciated, too. Ordered today!
Get the throttle body and the throttle controller. It will make your C7,C8 Corvette so much more fun to drive. It gives it that seat of the pants feeling. It's the 1st mod I'll ever do to a Corvette.
I have had the Soler controller on my 22 C8 for more than a year. Absolutely, love it! I drove Joe’s car with it installed and was immediately sold. Gotta get yourself one. I also like the idea of the Farraday pouch or the Hyperion case, but the problem with the Hyperion is the fob will not fit inside if you have a Paragon case around your fob.
Put the Soler performance throttle controller on my C7 stingray abut 6 months ago. WOW-WOW-WOW!!! What a HUGE difference! The car is so much more fun to drive! Very easy to install. I always lock out the gas pedal when I park it anywhere. Peace of mind that the gas pedal won't work if a thief is able to get it started. This is a must have addition for your Corvette!
I've had this product in my C7 Grand Sport for a couple years now and it's great product! I will say that finding a place to mount the module can be a bit tricky with the tie wraps that are provided. I ended up using some heavy duty velcro and just velcroed it to the carpet up behind the pedal.
If you're new to your Corvette, I'd suggest taking your car to either a quiet road or closed area and experiment with the modes- starting from the bottom. It'll save you the headache of accidentally launching your car into the one in front of you, or in the next lane- it IS that responsive. ENJOY!!!
I have the Soler Throttle Controller on both my C7 Z06 and C8 Stingray. It's the best mod I've ever done to any car and I never even thought about getting it for the theft prevention aspect. Both of my cars literally feel like they have 100 extra hp with this mod installed. I was skeptical of what it would do like a lot of other people before I actually tried it out and now I would never have a Corvette without one. 👍
Can't wait to see your reaction when you put one on your car. Guarantee you're going to be blown away. Just be sure to have your camera recording to get your first reaction. 😁
Thanks for the positive post! Glad you like it. It does totally transform the car. Love it on my C7 and C8. Since we guarantee satisfaction with no hassle 30 day full refund it’s riskless to try. You won’t send it back. 😊
Rick, I have had a Soler Performance ported throttle body and throttle controller on my C7 Z06 for a year. Both are DYI installs. The change in response is very impressive! Highly recommend their products! Just learned how to use it as a theft deterrent! Thanks!

I’m a super big fan of the Soler throttle controller product. I have it on my C7 19 grand sport. It’s worth it; what a blast to drive with it. I agree the difference is night and day. I didn’t realize there was a cut off feature, so that’s the icing on the cake. By the way, my favorite setting is AI.😊
@@jasonray9568 Take my advice, don’t wait to buy this amazing product ! My 2023 Stingray Z51 performance was amazing. It’s like driving a totally different car, and with multiple settings you can choose your own style of driving. I’ve programmed mine to Sport 9 .
Thanks to all those who have placed orders, we appreciate your business! Hey Joe, I just posted a concern at the top so everyone could see it. Can you read it and give us your thoughts on that? Perhaps you could make a new product for this concern. Thanks
Excellent dissemination of practical and imminently timely anti theft information. As for The Club, it too falls into the same category. It seems people fail to understand that anti theft doesn't mean theft proof but a layered approach to make it difficult and frustrating for thieves. Well done!.
I keep both keys in Farraday bags. Even when I go into stores and the gym I put the key fob in a small Farraday bag. I will give this new device a good look.
I had a '73 customized Corvette with a L82 / 4-spd... I did 2 things... first, I modified the Hurst shifter linkage with a stiffer spring, so that if you did not go FAST between gears, the devise would lock out in neutral... and it would take a WHILE to figure how to get it back in gear. (Only I could drive the car, If my Dad wanted to drive it, my younger Brother had to go along to do the shifting. (I had done the same to the '64 GTO I had before the Corvette) ALSO, I added some more wire to the ignition switch, and routed one of the power wires thru the glove box! And simply had a disconnect plug inside the glove box !! Everytime I parked the car, I simply disconnected the ignition in the glove box! I had one more trick, but it only works with hydraulic brakes... I may sound like a lot of trouble, but it took about 20 seconds. to disable and reset... IF you knew what was involved... Had a guy actually try to steal the car while I was putting in Gas... (Because of the custom work, it gassed up in the rear, behind the license plate ['69 Camaro gas tank] ... The guy jumped in the car, thinking that I could not see him... but the car would not crank, and would not go in gear... and I beat the crap out of him before the police arrived... I think I broke his left leg as he tried to get out...
Our phones are doing more spying on us than our cars. Speedometers have always worked via a sensor or small gear in transmission. That’s why changing the diameter of your tires can change the indicated speed. Technically GPS uses satellites in low orbit. Our phones use cellular triangulation to calculate our location. OnStar equipment uses both technologies I am sure. Because I received notice from OnStar that my 2012 was no longer supported because of the cellular technology used in that year model. Keep up the good work!
Another option is the IGLA alarm system. State of the art theft deterrent at less than $1500. Installation module is hidden by installer and they don’t tell you where it is…. You then create a 4-6 button sequence on your steering wheel that has to be done prior to starting car…. Will not start until the proper sequence is entered by driver. Check it out.
Is disabling the key fob a better security measure for the C8? Since you can disable the key fob by holding the lock & unlock button for about 5 seconds. Then you get 4 flashes for acknowledgement from the car. After this you have to push the unlock button on the fob even if it is in your pocket. Then you also have to push the lock button when you leave the car . I think this disables the key fob from emitting radio frequency while you are walking around with the fob in your pocket. I just thought this is more secure. I realize it is not as convenient. Great tech Tuesday question.
Rick, you mentioned the key fob case. I have the Hyperion one. It’s a great case and holds my spare fob. But my primary fob won’t fit, due to the carbon fiber fob cover from Paragon that you and I both have. Just FYI. I will look into this throttle controller. Thanks.
This theft problem has been going on for years but it really has gotten bad with these keyless entry and push button start vehicles one would think that the car manufacturers would have a solution for this.
After watching the last video I turned off the active door locks and now I lock and unlock them myself. I also covered my VIN in the windshield. Working on something for the steering wheel.
Good information Mr Rick, thank you. This device sounds to me like pedal commander, the response was similar and multiple settings. I don't know if there are settings to deactivate the gas pedal. Interesting. 🤔
One of your most interesting shows…great info…I have a 24 z and have hesitated to buy the throttle body but now I’m thinking I’ll buy both…thx again for the great info and I really enjoy your tech Tuesday…
I am not so sure this product will stop a thief. It only takes a moment to look at the gas pedal and flip things back before taking the car, unless I am missing something, such as the device not being noticeable, meaning you have to remove or lift something to find it. If that is the case, then it may work well. Also, I would like you to have asked, just for assurance, if their throttle control device works with their throttle body. I assume it does, but better safe than sorry.
The thief is not going to desire to put a flashlight on and crawl upside down with door open and door light on reaching to find a connector tucked behind the pedal housing unclip and then reconnect another clip!
@joelanza4755 From what I saw, the controller is easily spotted and it would not be necessary to be upside down. However, you are possibly correct about needing a flashlight if it is dark outside.
Hi, Read my post on the hypothetical you are commenting on . After 6 years no car we have had this installed in has been reported to us that it was stolen . Just sharing… best Joe@soler
@joelanza4755 Thank you for your response. My car has never been stolen and it does not have this item on it. The real question is whether someone attempted to steal the car and failed specifically because of this product. I think the product is a good idea. I just always try to think through all possibilities. Anything that would make the product less noticeable or more difficult to access is a good idea. I am aware of a corvette that was stolen and the thieves spent three hours stealing it, so experience is not necessarily a deterrent.
The ported throttle bodies add a big improvement and eliminate that lag. You see a very noticeable difference in low end torque. Customers have reported gains of 10-15hp!
Will the solder performance throttle body or comander void your warranty? And do you have control of your vehicle in daily driving. Do it need a tune with ported throttle body?
When I used to travel to Mexico back in my high school days - I would just removed the fuel pump fuse. Simple solution without wasting your money and all that unnecessary tech. No one is going to take the time to diagnose and fix the problem. Just remember to have a package of spare fuses on-hand in case you lose* one. Which _did_ happen on several occasions because I was a drunken high schooler in Rocky Point. Fun Fact: Everyone has a faraday cage at home. It's called your microwave. Buy an old microwave or use that old one in your garage as RFID protection. Easy-peasy. Stay classy (and vigilant) my friends. *EDITED for grammar.
The first tool everyone should be using to stop the high crime is by Voting.. preferably for someone that doesn't import more criminals. It does look like a cool option but if its 1 min to install , its one min to uninstall. lol Either way please take video of you asking Chuck to install this for you.. His look I know would be priceless.... lol
Hi Rick, .... Looks like a great option for enhancing the security of your 'precious' Corvette. Security Question for the Soler Performance Controller: Since thieves are so technically equipped these days, what stops them from having the Soler Performance 'App' on their own phone and 'blue tooth' connecting to the Controller, after they get the car started and then turing 'off' the UNLOCK and driving away? P.S. Justin at HPO promotes the RFID Key Fob blocker device from 'Hyperion'.....with a discount. I have them and they are terrific. Cheers for all you do.
Rick the Soler Performance throttle controller has been on my radar for awhile now and having seen your vlog I decided to order one. Hyperyion has a nice RFID signal blocker case for the key fob that will prevent theft. I recall that Justin from Horse Power Obsessed featured this product on one of his vlogs.
My question was if the cords are long enough to hide the box someplace far from the pedal, and hide the wiring harness side of the connector so that someone couldn't just unplug it and reconnect the pedal to bypass it. The cords do look long enough in the pics. Great idea. As I said before, it's all about layers of security to slow them down or stop them! @#$& POS thieves!
I was able to use the new 2025 configurator today at 1:30 am PST:). Have been eagerly waiting for it. Bit surprised to see that Z51 Mag Ride option is not showing up in it ! Anyone else noticed that ?
Another thing dont have your vette outside in the open. out of site out of mind... my cars are or in the big garage and locked... so if a thief come down my driveway i feel for him or her... Army trained pop pop!!!!!
Rick: unfortunately both are just deterrents 😟 the club and the soler unit will probably stop the non professional. As the more of these get used, the more they are aware of and can get down there and just unplug and plug the factory plug back in. We’ve got to keep them from getting our key fob codes and getting in the car. I use Hyperyion RFID cases to keep my keys in. Especially on these caravans and events at the NCM. Just think people with the devices walk the hotel hallways picking up your fob signals when your sleeping etc. So sad how things are today 1.02 million vehicles are stolen in the US annualy😞 Love the Soler performance aspect 😃
Thanks for your post. We have yet to have one owner who has our product over the last six years report that a thief has stolen their Corvette. 👍while nothing is foolproof that is a pretty nice stat.
SO damn tired of these damn car thieves. Man who in the hell thought it was a good idea to design that device that can copy and rewrite a key fob? Man just why???
Rick, I was just browsing the 2025 Corvette build site and noticed that Mag Ride is NOT available with Z51. Selecting Mag Ride from the options page stipulates the removal of the Z51 suspension package. True?
This is why we should have real electro-mechanical keys that go in an ignition, not these screwed up radio broadcast stations! Tell GM we want the option to have real keys!!! Thank you!
Really great show tonight!! Sadly, I went to purchase the Solar device and it is sold out. I left my email address, maybe he will get more in soon. I liked your black wheels but I LOVE your chromes! I was watching a video on the 25 configuration and told my wife to get me wooden wheels from the factory because I’m going to put the wheels Rick has on mine!!😂 your car looks great with them, for real. Thanks for the great show and information that is useful. One question: how difficult is it to hack the Bluetooth connection? I mean, they can hack our key fobs, can they hack the Bluetooth or uninstall the device as quickly as it installs? I think it fits in the C7 a little differently but I guess the idea is to slow them down so they go to another target….
It’s a Hispanic guy on TH-cam that shows how to steal corvettes. Ever since that video been out I been hearing corvettes getting stolen left and right.
Put a chip in a key and without that key the car can't be started or make the steering wheel removable like an Indy car. Some if you may remember back in the good ole days when we had car stereos under the dash you could slide out and take in the house so they didn't get stolen. Same principle only yourcsaving your vette.
Modern times lend themselves to modern solutions… just a thought. This controller also not only provides a lock feature but offers the owner to dial in the throttle response to their personal liking. Best Joe@Soler

I have a c5 i was wondering if it can be adapted and used the same way on the 5.7 in my c5 or it just not have the same type of drive by wire set up?
Hi Rick and everyone! 😊😊😊❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
We have a Faraday pouch that cuts off the connection between the car and the remote. You can stand right next to the car and it can't read the remote.
Great video and very informative. I’m familiar with their products and look to maybe get the ported throttle bodies for my Z06 👍
Ours will not void your warranty. You have 10 modes and 64 settings to dial in exactly to your driving preference! You do not need a tune.
Nice shot at night at the SUNOCO station with all the blue lighting!!💙
The first tool everyone should be using to stop the high crime is by Voting.. preferably for someone that doesn't import more criminals. It does look like a cool option but if its 1 min to install , its one min to uninstall. lol Either way please take video of you asking Chuck to install this for you.. His look I know would be priceless.... lol
Rick we don’t punish criminals, including juveniles.
I want to know if it’s disconnected does the lockout still work? Seems like IGLA is a better option
Good evening to all! 💙🧜♀️
Always put your keys in a faraday bag or box for dead signal
Hi Rick, .... Looks like a great option for enhancing the security of your 'precious' Corvette.
Security Question for the Soler Performance Controller: Since thieves are so technically equipped these days, what stops them from having the Soler Performance 'App' on their own phone and 'blue tooth' connecting to the Controller, after they get the car started and then turing 'off' the UNLOCK and driving away?
P.S. Justin at HPO promotes the RFID Key Fob blocker device from 'Hyperion'.....with a discount. I have them and they are terrific.
Cheers for all you do.
All they need to do is to unplug the device.
The device has four digit pin that pairs to Bluetooth. Thief does not know your pin.👍
Hello Michael glad to hear you decided to get one I can garuntee youll love it ! We will be getting yours shipped today!
Yes cord is long enough
On the electronics ideas …. How about the engineers design a module to lock the brakes so it then can’t even be flatbedded😊
C6 with the M6. That’s enough.
You beat me to it! I have the M7 and I can barely drive the freaking thing. 🙂
I was able to use the new 2025 configurator today at 1:30 am PST:). Have been eagerly waiting for it. Bit surprised to see that Z51 Mag Ride option is not showing up in it ! Anyone else noticed that ?
give it time....
Great information Rick and thanks
Curious would this affect the warrenty if you install it on a c8?
Thx alot gd info!
@@joelanza4755 Thanks for the stats… we will all feel better with your product installed
What’s the deal with “see dealer first pricing” for the Habanero interior for ERAY???
Hide an Air Tag, or be like me. I drive my “Beater Car”, if I can’t watch my Corvette. It’s a darn shame, but criminals are being added to the mix.
Thanks for info!!!!👍😃🧸.. luv those beautiful rides..!!!
SO damn tired of these damn car thieves. Man who in the hell thought it was a good idea to design that device that can copy and rewrite a key fob? Man just why???
Hey i ordered mine 3weeks ago and still haven't received it, made a call left voicemail now im waiting 😢
I know it's not your product but what about battery drawer while the car sits in my garage for a month
I used the Build- Price at noon today. My 22 has only gone up 10k for a 25
Mine went up $10k from ordering in Feb ‘23 till delivered Jan ‘24. 😢
Why don't GM send an update fix for this problem since it's a computer on wheels. I haven't had an update in months
“Only “ ?? That’s a lot of money for essentially the same car
@@richarddobreny6664 I figure for 3 years of inflation that’s not bad. Went from 90k to 100k.
Rick, I was just browsing the 2025 Corvette build site and noticed that Mag Ride is NOT available with Z51. Selecting Mag Ride from the options page stipulates the removal of the Z51 suspension package. True?
Thanks for the info Rick that’s great I am going to order one for sure.
Super! Leave info at checkout and will get back, restocking now
This is why we should have real electro-mechanical keys that go in an ignition, not these screwed up radio broadcast stations! Tell GM we want the option to have real keys!!! Thank you!
Great idea!
We are restocking item, go ahead and provide your info when prompted and we will get back in a few days👍
We will be back to you shortly on your order! Joe @soler
not punch Rick I got something for them. I have soler performance for both of my corvettes.
It's just like a pedal commander for a motorcycle
Will the unit work on the 2025 C8?
@@johnyoung4466 yes sir 👊
@@johnyoung4466 use my code Rick5 at checkout
Will do, thanks Rick…
It’s a Hispanic guy on TH-cam that shows how to steal corvettes. Ever since that video been out I been hearing corvettes getting stolen left and right.
' Marks left by a Ford ' - ooh Boy, that's gotta sting....
