Thanks for covering my question regarding the DCT filter change. In the meantime I contacted GM and was told I needed 7500 miles. However, today I received a letter from GM which clearly states it is to be done between 7000 and 8000 miles as has been Father Chuck's position. Also, on Friday I received an email from my dealer stating I should make an appointment to get it changed immediately. Thanks again for sharing the correct information.
On the tire and nail issue, understand your opinion on the tire thing, O have chosen plugging tires and have done so and tracked the tire until totally worn and no issues at all.
I comment every time this nail in the tire subject comes up, ....Michelin the tire designer/ manufacturer/ tire warranty provider says that YES you can patch a tire & still have the speed rating if the patch is done per their specifications...I would take the recommendations from them vs any Chevy dealer technician
Always love tech Tuesday. With vette inventory starting to increase , might be great for a the ole ‘ inventory stroll . That’s how I found my vette I bought from you !
Thank you Rick for everything you do to promote Corvette. If I ever need to know anything about C8 all I need to do is pull up one of your videos. Chuck and you are experts. You are a great friend to all Corvette owners.
I checked my tires after the first episode you aired a few months ago. One of my rear tires and one of my front tires had small nails in them. They had not penetrated but I still felt better buying a set of all season tires . They are great riding, quieter and a softer ride I think. Now I have a set of pilot sport tires to put on a second set of wheels soon! In Texas, Discount Tire has a great warranty and they are just about everywhere if you need them. Thanks for the great advice. You cannot put a price on safety! Oh and they road force balance too!
I recently got a nail in my rear tire. Per Father Chucks recommendation I replaced it. I even went further since I have 25k on them, I replaced all of them. I also had them aligned and road force balanced. While doing this they found my left front shock leaking. They replaced that under warranty.. I feel best safe than sorry. Thanks for providing tech Tuesday.
Could you have Chuck show us the difference between the Die-1, Die-2 and Die-3 transmissions. Also have him explain why they made the changes in the casting of the trans case in July of 2023. I understand that this transmission issue is why you sold your old car and bought a 2023. Thanks, and tell Chuck hello.
Great video! I have the dual roof package and the bag is nice but cumbersome to use. Since I change it out often I purchased a rack to hang the roof on my garage wall when not in use. Much easier than the bag. Love the Z06 spec! Thanks guys.👍😎
That is correct, get in the car, hit the brake, turn mode selector images will come up on screen, turn your mode selector to stealth and then start the car
If you and Chuck are so adamant against internally patching a customers car who says he has 4000 miles on the tire, Why aren’t you just as adamant about replacing tires in pairs? That’s one thing Michelin does say is that you should always do is replace repair tires in pairs either fronts or rears. Again, why aren’t you so adamant about doing this as it is the correct procedure and you should never replace one tire on the front or rear where there is mileage of that amount on the other side.
Sorry Rick, but if it's okay, I just want to vent in hopes that Chevy reads this about my frustration with not being able to get a damn allocation for an Eray. I've been #3 for a year now at my local dealer's list, and they have NOT received one allocation for that car. So, I went to the biggest and most popular dealer in my area, and they ONLY received one allocation since the car has been announced. To be placed on that list, I would be #24. That's total BS!!! If you're going to sell a car model, then SALE the damn car model! This allocation BS is ridiculous! Chevy you've got 90 days to get me a damn allocation (My retirement time line) or I'm done with you and moving on....PERIOD! I'm tired of playing your damn games!!! Thanks for letting me vent Rick.
Thanks for venting I’d be happy to add you to my list but remember they made not even 1200 last year for 4000 dealers - availability is an issue do what I can and should be slow but sure get better - a smaller dealer - most likely not a chance soon … distribution report and market update on Thursday I should be getting a memo from Chevy. My email address is up and head of the channel. If you want to contact me, I’d be happy to assist.
Hey Rick my name is Derek I recently bought a 2014 C7 Stingray Z51 with 27,000 miles my memory seats are not working It won't allow me to set the memory I don't hear the beep when I press the set button nor do I hear the beep when I press the number 1 or number 2 preset, but it will let me set the steering wheel and seat position to move when I exit the vehicle but no beep, Could this be a fuse, or do I need to take it to the dealer.
Yes sir....3 years or 45K under normal driving....we have talked about it, I did it way too early on my 2021...but will be doing it next year....as tracking etc. changes the matrix and right now I am at 34K on my 2023

I think the company that designed, tested and manufactured the tire knows better than anyone.

Thank-you sir....no replies yet
@@RickCorvetteContiI think it would be fun and you could include the instructors from the NCM staff to see how you guys would measure up.
I was 10 years old when my Dad took me to see 'The Cannonball Run' back in 1981. 🍿

Always happy to lend an ear…I think it’s an awesome idea and hope it comes to fruition!!! That white Z06 shouldn’t last long…nice spec 💯
I was driving on I-275 north of Cincinnati last week and thought I was behind a C-7. The closer I got it was a freaking Z06.😆
Love it!
Happy tech Tuesday Rick and Chuck really, really like the interior of that beautiful ZO6.

Hey Rick do you have a part # for that center speaker for the 2025 I will like to change mines out on my 24
will dig into that for ya!
Awesome pic of you car in the pits 💨💨💨🔥🔥🔥

Go Rick! I love tech Tuesday!!❤❤
Depends where the nail hit and amount of tread left.
The wheels look similar to the wheels they had on the 1985 -86 Monte Carlo. They were silver in color though.
Space Man with headlamps!
You are safe, so there is no problem with your decision. I am in complete agreement with your Co.
With the Eray the engine does not need to be running to get it out of park. Can put it in Stealth Mode. Am I correct?

If the manufacturer of high-performance tires says the tire can be patched, the tire can be patched.
@@RickCorvetteConti Thanks Rick! I'll send you an email right away!
We do Not need a Corvette SUV when Chevrolet can't manufacturer enough allocations.
It’s NOT the Christmas Season UNTIL Santa arrives at Macy’s in New York!

will ask Chuck on that one man....thanks!
Thank you sir.
If you own a Corvette, don’t be cheap! Buy the tire!!
Attorney that should not drive a C8 for sure. Thanks for what you guys do on Tech Tuesday.
Can't patch run flat tires! Needn't debate this.(if you care about your safety, blah blah blah)
Rick, I have a question that I think has never been asked or answered on the channel yet: when should I change my DCT fluid?

Hi Rick!!

You're right about the nail in the tire. It's not worth it.
