Day 2 of the Texas Monthly BBQ Fest in Lockhart.Tx.
At Lockhart City Park, this is the event that everyone knows and loves-a Sunday afternoon with live music, beverages, and 50+ barbecue joints featured on Texas Monthly’s most recent list of Top 50 BBQ Joints. New to the event will be BBQ Capital Corner, featuring some hometown favorites from Lockhart.

Try being local and going to any family function and we bring Choslom Trail, Kruetz, smittys, and blacks. (all famous Lockhart BBQ joints). To us its like McDs just better

@@brandonin_ny Sorry wasnt trying to imply that BBQ isnt something to geek out over. Its just growing up didnt know Lockhart BBQ was "geek-out" over food. Just thought it was the normal everyday fare that EVERY community had.It wasnt until late 20s that i understood that these establishments wre mecca worthy. To me it was just "oh yeah lets go grab some food because we didnt wanna cook-food". Geek out over it, enjoy it, love it, praise it. I do. I just feel slightly honored to have grown up eating this as coomon fare.
How do the samples work? Included with the ticket? VIP ticket? Pay at each station?
