Butt rub, the seasoning my favorite uncle who passed away would use for his ribs. Would never forget the flavor it had I miss it!! Wish I knew his recipe to share to the world 🙏💯

It may take you years, but bet, you can get that taste your uncle created if you keep after it. And that’s a lot of fun. An excellent documentary on Byron Chism and his amazing Butt Rub seasoning! I met Byron at a songwriter's workshop a few years ago. He gave me a sample of his Butt Rub seasoning and sauce... oh wow! This is mighty tasty on chicken and pork. I love to pat the rub into pork ribs and then top off the ribs with the sauce about 10 minutes before pulling the ribs out of the oven. It's very cool to see this video and discover the history of this super yummy seasoning. I'm a Butt Rub fan. Cheers!
I stumbled upon this TH-cam video and now I know the story I've often wondered about. Would love to have been in the crowd at the ranch enjoying the great food and the bluegrass for a great cause! The production of this was just awesome. I'm picking up a bottle of butt rub for my next rack of ribs!
Love this rub the best Boston butt I ever did was in a drum smoker with injection of apple juice apple cider vinegar and lemon juice with just a little butt rub in it and then coat it with butt rub smoked in oak for 12 hours best I ever smoked.. first used this years ago when they sold it in mom and pops store Scaff’s that’s no longer around in small town of Bell Florida

This is only rub I trust on my butts and I use it on ribs sometimes. I almost always have a bottle in the pantry, good product!
