great video thanks so much for sharing!! honestly so so helpful will help me alot as planning to buy a stringing machine soon! much appreciated brother, going to binge wacth all your videos now
Great content!!! I’m a stringer myself as well, but less experienced. I learnt how to string by watching TH-cam videos online. Want to ask you, is there any tips on stringing the crosses at the shared holes? I often get stuck on the top shared holes and I tried cutting the tip of the string thinner or used a tool to push the main string to one side. I saw on your video that you string it pass the shared holes so smoothly, I’m wondering are there any tips on that? Thank you
Thanks! The only shared holes that need to be mindful of would be the bottom B12 hole and also the first shared hole you come across at the top when stringing bottom up like this video. Those shared holes are the hardest to get through. Its good that your cutting your string at an angle to get a fine tip or try using a string mover to move the main. Another way of succeeding would be a inserting the cross string at an upward or downward angle. The theory behind that is you're trying to insert the cross string either above or below the main shared string. If all fails, you can slightly insert an awl into the grommet at and upward or downward angle. Just be careful that you don't push too far in to actually damage the string. I good rule would be remove the awl once you feel slight resistance as you're mainly wanting to create just enough space for the string to get through.
@@wijardwong Thanks for the reply those are some very helpful tips. Yes, I also tried using the awl to help push the string and it gave me success for going through very tough holes🙂 but like you said I have to be extremely careful not to damage the main string.
@@richchen1234 personally i trying to reduce contact of working part of string by the metal tools as much as possible. so i pass shared hole at 98% rate witthout using a string mover at tensions up to 14kgs. using 3 tips. 1) by inserting small pieces of thick (0,7-0,72) string to the grommets that can cause troubles before applying tension to the main string. this way i increasing chance to get free way thrue the shared hole. 2) if 1-2 tries of inserting cross string fails, then using piece of hard thick string (BG-65 black is my favorite in such case) and trying to create that way for cross string (or maybe find it). 3) if tip 2 doesnt works (it happens frequently at high tensions and thick string) then use toothfloss method (seen at badmintoncentral). But all this routine can take about 5-10 minutes extra timeloss if you are expirienced enough, and up to 5-15 mins for each troublecausing hole at your first tries. Do that worth it? Im not sure...
maybe racket is lightweight or tension too high? in this case it is a good idea. first time i saw this method of finishing the crosses was in insructions for stringing Babolat Satelite Gravity 74. But somewhat later i had met it in video of the Yonex Stringing Team. The reason is equal to reason of looping the last two mains in Yonex stringing pattern - reduce stress to the frame in fragile areas.
I used to do it because my old machine at times will not reach the last cross due to the 12 o'clock post. So I'd double pull the last 2nd cross. That being said this machine does reach it, but for example the 99pro or 88s string pattern won't allow the 12 o'clock post to reach the last cross so if double pull. There's not right or wrong with this but just a habit I built
Wow, very impressive stringing. 1.) May i know how good is the knot? 2.) Is necessary the last string need to add the tension for horizontal & vertical?
Hello. Can you tell me how many lbs of tension you're pulling and why you're stretching the vertical wire at 27lbs and the horizontal wire at 29lbs. Looking forward to your explanation.
So the tension you need to pull is 28lbs and you will stretch the vertical string to 27lbs and the horizontal string to 29lbs, right? Is it the international yonex standard? Hope to receive your answer. Thanks a lot@@wijardwong
@@_NguyenVanTuanAnh yonex standard is 2lbs more on cross or it can be 10% more on cross. If doesn't matter as long as this is set by the stringer and is consistent. For me if someone asks for 28lb tension, I will string 27x29 Everytime. Some other stringers may do 28x30. It just depends on the rule set by the stringer
I thank you for your answer. At my place, if I ask to knit 11kg (about 24.4lbs), the knitter will knit the vertical string as 25lbs and the horizontal string as 27lbs. Do you think this is the right way to knit?@@wijardwong

I string at home! I mainly do it as a hobby and most of the ppl I string for are just local players and by referrals, no marketing. I used to work at a pro shop so hence I eventually upgraded my machine after 10 years
I did this back then in my old machine because the post always blocked the clamp for the last main string. So I pulled the last two strings together. Since upgrading to this machine I have not been pulling the last two strings. There is no major difference though.

I remember stringing with an APACS electric central clamping machine.
So easy to use compared to manual version.
Shame they cost best part of £1,000.
