Excellent analysis! The one factor I didn't agree with is self-control equating with brilliance. Because brilliant people are people of flexibility, depth, innovation, openness to change and variety, and perceptual sensitivity, they have a flood of impulses to deal with - internally and externally. While many can control their flow of ideas and focus their attention (unless they're mentally unstable and "drowning in their consciousness" instead of swimming in it), impulse control can be more difficult for them because there is so much for them to control. In other words, brilliant people can also be impulsive, and lacking in the character trait of Self Control.

I have never percieved myself as smart. Or brilliant. Just curious and weird. Molding my own path, doing and making a difference to those close to me. Sometimes I get lucky. Most of the time I like to spend in my own company. For me in my life it has been necessary to keep myself on track. Now I live a brilliant life with a purpose and a deep respect for self-aware and friendly souls that cross my path. It's been a joy and a struggle to get to the age of 65. Still working on understanding and molding my own self. I enjoy each day. I never had a clear cut goal other than to learn, discover and be a decent human beeing. I enjoy each day.
Show respect and be friendly to each and everyone you meet. We are all one.

Thankyou so much for posting this..! Some points really had me wondering... Like being too emotional or sensitive. Then having diverse hobbies... In such a way that nothing coincides between them. Nobody explores so many things... And being socially awkward... Why is it that I get bored while having conversations... It's like... Why aren't there any perceptions... But when the same is with a passionate artist or businessman or scientist... Everything turns 180•.
I was definitely missing the humility point... Either it turned to be low self esteem or doubting. Now which I know how to imbibe or cultivate.
This video helped me know a lot of things. Thanks again.

This could be a mixture of several different case. Probably, this indicate that points can be contradict.
For example, (improving knowledge, skill, and talents) is similar to (knowledgeable and well informed but not necessarily smart) since knowledge and skill is about memory usually.
Brilliant people (who is introvert) maybe do not want change because being exposed to new experience that requires extrovert.

This reminds me of what a math teacher said once, I can still not get over it. I hated math and he wanted to have a meeting about it. He saw that I was going to be very good at math and I was going to love it. He told me I always came to conclusion but always took too complicated paths to get to the answer. I Still wonder when I will be good at match but in some way I kinda miss it. I am here with No life so it feel right now, figuring out what to do about it, maybe I over complicate things? I so wonder when will I be "brilliant" in life? Just thoughts in the night... Life is a very lovely little mess.

My IQ is probably pretty low. I have memory problems after having a head injury at the age of 10, and thus chess is a total disaster for me. But despite being a high school dropout as the result of dropping from the top of the class to the bottom and then failing a grade due to the head injury, I did manage to independently discover the special relativity(SR) phenomena, and independently derive the SR mathematical equations. Just because the world thinks of you as being a dumb ass, does not mean that this is the actual case. See my YT videos. If my head looks a little round on my left side, that is because I have a ceramic plate on that side. By the way, I completed this achievement after being in a semi-coma. I suffered from a severe case of hypoglycemia which shut down my brain over an 8 year period. After 8 years of this, I no longer knew how to spell my brothers name, I no longer knew the names of people I had been working with for 5 1/2 years, I no longer knew which was my left hand nor which was my right, nor did I know which hand held the fork and which hand held the knife. I had to take 5 pills a day of medication, but now I could no longer recognize a quantity greater than two. So if you put 3 pills in my hand, I could not tell you how many were there due to the semi-coma state of mind. Once the cause of the hypoglycemia was found and reversed, it took me another 8 years to relearn everything. But I never did relearn how to write, other than write my signature on cheques, etc. But despite this hell, I derived the SR equations.

I think this video is very superficial and does not give accurate information. The development of social emotional intelligence and disciplined life and everything similar are learned in the family. It is superficial that stupid to call people who are traumatic and who have not had good opportunities in life as not smart.
I also find people who read a lot and memorize information boring, and I don't think they're smart either. Creative thinking and creative reading is important at this point. But the other items are all about class and luck. Good conditions allow us to show our talents in life. Categorizing people unconsciously is also characteristic of unintelligent people.

I am shocked! He is not intelligent if ge says those words - to his own mother 😱 So hurtful! My brother did joke about I got the looks and intelligent of our father and even my mom laughed, it was heart breaking and I often feel very very stupid and even the R-word because people seem to think so. They might think what they will but to SAY IT OUT LOUD! I don't know what I would so if my kids said anything like that. You don't even have to be intelligent to be a valuble person and it hurts. I hope your son grows up and can be sorry for his words! Not okay!
