    SR: Set/reset flip-flop
    Use the instruction "Set/reset flip-flop" to set or reset the bit of the specified operand, depending on the signal state of the inputs S and R1. If the signal state is "1" at input S and "0" at input R1, the specified operand is set to "1". If the signal state is "0" at input S and "1" at input R1, the specified operand will be reset to "0".
    Input R1 takes priority over input S. When the signal state is "1" on both inputs S and R1, the signal state of the specified operand is reset to "0".

    Hi,
    thank you for great tutorial. I have a question for stopper and B2 sensor. Shouldn't we define also some pneumatic valve (for example) to open stopper, also some second valve to close stopper. I don't understand how this would work in real situation, what will activate movement of the stopper, I suppose B2 is only signal which activate some motor or valves?
    Thanks!

    Please, I have a challenge that I need your help on. I'm working on a siemens KTP600 Basic color DP HMI with TIA Portal V17, and I'm having difficulty in displaying Alarm Messages on the screen using "bits" from the S7 programs. Please how do I make this possible? Thanks.

    Great video! I have question about automatic assigment IP addresses by TIA portal. I work in big company so we have a lot of used IP addreses and I am wondering when TIA portal automatically assign IP addres does TIA take care about occupancy of assignet IP addres or it can add some addres which is used by other device so make some trouble in communication? Thank you very much.

    Good afternoon. Thank you for your work, it is very necessary and cool.
    I don't know English very well, so I use subtitle translator in TH-cam, but I think some of your videos in TH-cam are not of high quality because of your channel settings - translator thinks that you speak German and translate very badly. Could you put USA location in the video settings.
    Thanks in advance)

    SR block is the same as putting an assignment (like your network 2) with 2 parallel branch to make an auto maintaining button right? Once activated, the assignment activate the parallel contact and bypass the start button which can be released

    • @hegamurl7434
      @hegamurl7434  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty much, yeah (just different in how to create it... what they do is the same). The official term for the circuit you are describing is "seal-in circuit"

      @@hegamurl7434 Okay, so what's the purpose tu use the flip flop block? Only faster coding or there is something more? I read in Siemens manual that I should minimize as much as possible the use of these blocks
      (I just should have bought a 1500 and not a 1200. I miss GRAPH language)

    Hi
    Thanks for these useful tutorial.
    I just want to tell something about SR and RS blocks you have mentioned at 4:10 .
    In these blocks always the second letter is dominant.
    For ex. if in an SR, both pins receive 1, then R is dominant and the output would be reset and vise-versa for RS.
    Regards

    I just don't understand why b3 is not like b1 & b2, meaning b3 sends 1 when the component in front of b3 other than that send 0.
    anyone could help ?

    • @hegamurl7434
      @hegamurl7434  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      B3 uses a normally closed contact in the phyiscal hardware in this case (meaning the sensor itself is the "inverted" behaviour)... a lot of times sensors are used in a NC way rather than NO... it highly depends on hardware
