Hello, this is an excellent course, but I have one question about sinking/sourcing inputs. I always thought that free electrons move to higher potential, but in your example it's reversed. Could somebody help me understand it? 2:05:32

From the 1200 System Manual:
Load memory is non-volatile storage for the user program, data and configuration. When a project is downloaded to the CPU, it is first stored in the Load memory area. This area is located either in a memory card (if present) or in the CPU. This non-volatile memory area is maintained through a power loss. The memory card supports a larger storage space than that built-in to the CPU.
Work memory is volatile storage for some elements of the user project while executing the user program. The CPU copies some elements of the project from load memory into work memory. This volatile area is lost when power is removed, and is restored by the CPU when power is restored.
The program is loaded into the Load Memory and it runs out of the Work Memory.

Hello, because of my Computer Science background, does it make sense to use only Structured Text to program the PLC ?
You can definitely do that and you'd love it. However I will still urge to learn ladder logic as its extremely easy plus there will be certain discrete tasks or logic that can make your life easier. Ladder + ST combination is extremely popular these days.
i want to learn plc, scada and hmi programming suggest which is good platform to learn all these things.

Why isn't it plug and play? Configuring a device could be completely ruled out and bypassed if the plc was able to tell it what it was rather than the human error of selecting the right unit plus attachments. A little like inserting a usb and you see it's name and details come up. A definite gap in the market there!
Also, troubleshooting is a completely random process. Our 16 plc suite at work has many faults that render the plc's useless. Address issues that no one can fix and stop mode that will never go into run mode. A master reset never works. What the hell does lower level component fault even mean? Bad system design from start to finish.
On some topics it is good.. on paid course, he does not provide good support. If he improve on this.. then perfect
